Cypher watched Destiny quietly, wondering what she was thinking about as she fell quiet before he perked his ears, her laugh making him smile.

Her comment on not knowing him, well, he could disagree, but then again, if she wanted to know more, he would share. He gave her a smile, tilting his head a little further before turning to look at her, head no longer tilted. "What do you want to know?" He asked her gently.

It wasn't Alpha to Lead, it was wolf to wolf, just them, talking, and he hoped she realized that. He saw her for who she was, not her position within the pack, and he wanted to show her.
He realized he didn't know much about her himself, so he added a quick "I'll answer anything, so long as you answer my questions." He said, a playful tone in the comment. He wouldn't push her if she didn't want to.

Ghost studied the Luna just before asking his question, drawing interest in her withdrawn expressions. It seemed she had let her mind wander to other things after the conversation died. He paused a moment to watch her ears flatten and a somewhat saddened look cross her face. What was she worried about? What was going on inside her mind? But Ghost decided not to pry, asking her the question about the avalanche instead.

The reaction he got from her was much stronger than he had anticipated. His eyes widened slightly as she let her emotions show openly, the event obviously having bothered her for some time. She had gone into survival mode, much like him, and protected herself from the traumatic loss and memories. His ears flattened back as she mentioned specific wolves, especially the younger ones. Ghost's heart ached even though he had no offspring. He could only imagine the trauma that came with having pups and fearing for their life. He imagined if he did have a family of his own, he would fight to the ends of the earth for them. Unfortunately, he had never gotten the opportunity to prove that claim. His paws shifted in the snow, sinking deeper as his body heat had melted some of it and created a small crater for them to rest in.

When she mentioned feeling like a failure, Ghost's ears perked up quickly and he opened his mouth to defend her. She quickly defended herself, only expressing how she had felt and making it somewhat clear she didn't feel that way any longer. He retreated from his perked-up expression and watched her sink into the snow, the sun rays falling over her like a comforting blanket. The sire tilted his head, seeing now how much the recollection bothered her. He felt a ping of guilt for bringing it up.

"It's best to talk through the trauma, even if it hurts" He whispered, barely loud enough for her to hear. His voice had a tender tone to it now even if his words sounded like facts. He tried treating the moment between them with respect, but emotional conversations weren't his strong suit. "Thank you for sharing..." He added, leaning down slightly. His nose hovered just above her shoulder as if he was about to nudge her gently. He froze for a moment, jerking back awkwardly as he quickly decided against his gesture. He felt weird about it. He didn't know how to comfort others and didn't feel he could start now.

Ghost turned his head over his shoulder quickly to free himself of the suddenly awkward air around him. His mind wandered to the lifeless bodies buried beneath the snow. His ears laid back. Would they emerge during the spring? He made a mental note to do some scouting when the snow melted and take care of any remains found before someone else stumbled upon them. He felt he could handle the sight of death better than some of the others and wanted to spare them any further pain. "Isn't there some sort of saying about how through disaster, growth and opportunity come?" He muttered, keeping his gaze on the scene over his shoulder, "This heart ache should make us grow stronger and bond closer together, right?" His words sounded uncertain, as if he didn't believe what he was saying for a moment.

The fae watched the various expressions on the sire's face after she offered him the scrap. It seemed to surprise him, and he didn't make much movement to eat it or thank her. Something in her chest tightened and she shifted her paws closer together, feeling a bit on edge. His gesture to give her food was kind, but she had no idea if there were other intentions behind it. The uncertainty bothered her and made her feel as if she had to be extra aware of her actions and words.

Her question earned a small response from Risen, something she didn't expect. She had thought maybe the drama or gossip may bring out a decent conversation for them both to partake in. That didn't seem the case. She paused in her eating to study him further for a moment. He didn't look mad... more... withdrawn. Something was bothering him? She wanted to ask but felt it may not be her place yet. Maybe getting him to talk about himself would allow him to open up. Others were more inclined to talk about themselves, no? Everyone was a little selfish at heart... or so Rhea thought.

With a soft clearing of her throat, she dropped her gaze to her paws and crouched down, savoring any warmth she had and also making herself appear smaller and less intimidating. "So, what's it like being a fighter? how did you decide that was the rank for you?" she glanced up at him for a moment, showing she was genuinely interested in his answer if he chose to give one.

The immense feeling in her chest subdued after talking things over with Ghost. It was a huge sense of relief for her. Originally, she hated the idea of talking about the avalanche or Liberty's reign. Those two major events in her life had caused enough trauma for a lifetime. Her ears flicked just before they swiveled to attention at the ringing of his voice.

Nova nodded to agree with him, talking it through made a difference. The invisible weight on her shoulder was no more now that she talked about it. She could let go of those who were lost during the storm and maybe even hold a vigilance for the deceased. "Thank you for listening, Ghost." her voice was softer than the fresh snow beneath them. Her head rest on top of her crossed paws. As Ghost leaned into her , as if he were going to comfort her, she was willing to accept the embrace. His sudden retreat made her head tilt, but she refused to pry. Considered that he may not of been affectionate like she could be.

Luna Nova pulled herself up and shook some of the snow off of her. A heavy inhale followed by a drop in her shoulders as he spoke again. "Yes, that is true. We all will grow in due time with everything that has happened." she agreed again. They did have the opportunity to move to a new home, have a fresh start, and even gained new members along the way. She couldn't say that there wasn't any growth the last few months. "It will in due time when those who need to heal are done doing so." she backed him up.

Slowly she approached him directly, her eyes locked onto him. When she was close enough she put her nose under his maw, lifting it up. "When you speak, show confidence with your words. So no one questions you in uncertainty." she coached him. He was far from a weak wolf, just one that could be uncertain sometimes. Specifically, she needed him to be confident when they spoke to Destiny or to their pack mates. Unfortunately for Nova, she learned early in her Beta time, that the any sign of being unsure would lead to mounds of disrespect. "When you talk with our pack mates, make sure you do the same. They won't take you seriously there wise." she shared with him. Now that she was closer and is his space , she took in his scent. It was soothing almost like a human's favorite scented candle. Nova motioned towards the common grounds of camp, urging him to follow her, and soon took off in a trot.

Ghost turned his attention back to his Luna as she moved, shaking loose snow free from her pelt. Her movement towards him caused him to stiffen slightly. Had he upset her? Was she about to chastise him for something? However he was pleasantly surprised when she slipped her nose under his chin and lifted him slightly. The gesture was gentle and reaffirming, allowing ghost to sit up slightly straighter. His chest filled with power as she lifted him up and cosched him in leading. It was then that he realized how much confidence he lacked in their conversation. He made a mental note to watch how he spoke more closely.

He gave a short nod, showing he understood, but held a fresh sparkle in his eyes. Her encouragement spoke volumes to him. Not only did she lead, she wanted to teach those around her to do the same. Ghost took a deep breath in, eyes never leaving hers, and wished he could find the words to thsnk her for the teaching. He couldn't find anything that seemed to fit so he settled in silence, not wanting to appear uncertain as she had just corrected him in this.

After a brief moment of standing tall, chest slightly protruding, and gaze trained on his luna, she gestured to him to follow. She took off in a trot and Ghost watched for a second longer, admiring the way her paws seemed to float over the snow. His tail wagged slightly and a smile crossed his muzzle, something he wasn't used to. Their interaction would be one he would remember.

He got up and quickly closed the gap between them, slowing only when he was slightly behind her. He would trot beside her and glance around camp to take in who was there.

She looked rather irritated by the question "Of course we can, we're healers, not prisoners....and the wolves could know what they can do and not to do to not get hurt and the days are rather boring if you have no herbs to collect and patients...I don't know about you, but I, myself could need healing if I could need to be on this camp all the time..." she responded to her " Having a walk or fishing, is good motivation, it brings you hope and calm your mind, you could feel so...lonely if you do things like those....you could not be depressed..." she said a little bit of silence of the last few words.

KUROI

She followed after the Kiyu to the other hunters, her ears perked back and forth as she looked around them. The lead hunter was not here and so was not Athena or kind of was, but seemed not to join the hunt, likely her leg was not that good yet and she didn't think even for her to go to the healer's bad side by not following her words, when it come to healing. She sighed a bit as she looked over to the healing den, wondering how the Miracle was doing with her adoptive mother there as everyone here knew how aggressive the healer could get. She didn't say much just listened to them, before turning to Kuroyuki who said to be the group lead for now "Um Kuroyuki, is it alright for me to accompany the hunters? Not as a hunter, but I may still need a little guard practice..." she asked them.

YOMI

She looked at them giving a smile to her adoptive sister, then flicked her ears as she listened to Kuroyuki about Cypher and the elderly elk earlier. She walked near Ermin with wonder "Cypher sure likes to have time with the alpha, wonder if he likes her...or tried to get himself to the beta position..." she murmured shaking her head a bit as she started heading out of the camp like Kuroyuki was said them to do.

ERMIN

He looked at Kuroyuki with a nod then turned to the two younger wolves, smiling at them a bit, before looking at Yomi and speaking to him "Well...I don't know about that, they may be very close friends too...or he wants to be helpful to the alpha after everything..." he responded to her with a flick of his white tail. He started to head out as well when Kuroyuki told him that they were leaving now.

REDMOON PACK

CASTOR

He looked around before flicking his ears at the yowl of the Kizo, looking at her going to the River and Gauge, he was already aware of them going out. He walked over to the two "So is this thing important? Gauge? Where do you need River?" he questioned the female fighter "I need my hunters all of them...but if you can help her to hunt something small back to the camp on your way out, I can allow you to have her to join whatever is the reason you need her for?" he spoke up with little weird, not aggressive, not gently voice. He flicked his ears at Kizo a moment the pup was talking 'She is a fighter though...' he thought with a shake of his head bit as he listened to the rest the pup said. He gave a smirk when she mentioned the fighter catching a hare, which he wondered was a lie "Is that so...then there is no problem for you to hunt some hares out there" he spoke up looking at the female fighter.

LABRADOR

He looked at him a bit then looked away embarrassed when he got closer, he did that a lot, which didn't bother him at all, only the way the conversation was going and he was not sure if he spoke too much, and is not ready to face the possible consequences. He sighed a bit "I am not sure we really can help him, much... this everything is a fight he himself needs to fight...I am trying to hunt more, but in the end, I am just one wolf, we can't do much if the world around us doesn't want to collaborate with us..." he said with a flick of his tail a bit. He looked at him a bit then looked away "What do I want to the future..." he murmured "Hmm Kane...what do you want to the future? Do you see...um...anything happening between us in the future? Do you want to be mates with me someday in the future? I don't mean now, I don't want to rush things...slow move is good, right? If you don't want anything...that's fine too..." he said almost whispering. His eyes were not looking at Kane, but they also were, he had a hard time settling his eyes on one spot, he kind of looked around like he didn't know where was he supposed to look at.

KIZO

She looked at her mother figure, with a little amused eye "Can I come too? I want to come too..." she called out, knowing that going out with them was not likely going to happen, but she still wanted to have her hopes up to the agreement. She sighed a bit as she looked over to the lead hunter "Of course they will hunt you a thinks, my mother is a great hunter, even if she is not a hunter...she caught us a hare once, that has to mean something right?" she kept speaking. She shook her head a bit "And where is Niko? Tell him to come back to the camp. I want to play with his tail, it's so fluffy...and I like to see him pissed off when I bite his tail...he is so cute" she murmured with laughter.

She yawned a bit "Well I am a little hungry though, and I am pretty sure Kizo is as well, her stomach is having a party the whole night....in a good way..." she responded to him as she stood up. She shook her head a bit "She is always going out, nothing new about that, she is still a fighter, not a den mother or anything..." she said "So no need to speak like that was something new" she said with a sigh.

Labrador was right. Kane didn’t speak anymore of that, Castor is trying his best with what and who he has at this time. Kane let out a soft sigh, his head still resting on Labradors shoulder, still looking up at him.

Kane then watched as Labrador look away, listening closely to his words as he spoke quietly. Kane felt his face get hot quickly, his heartbeat rising. Labrador really asked him this? This is not another one of his dreams?

Kane quickly looked down, moving from his shoulder. He felt the air leave his lungs and he sat in full surprise.
“…uh” he managed to let out this small sound. He sat there in silence for a few moments as he thought about the questions. This is actually happening, the moment that Kane was wanting for so long. To tell Labrador now he felt about him. A cute smile formed on his face and he let out a warm chuckle.
“Labrador…” he whispered his name gently as he slowly moved in front of him, craning his neck up to try and get Labrador’s eye contact.
“I have a crush on you, Lab. I have had a crush on you since we were just starting hunters. I just…didn’t know you felt the same way.” He told him with a nervous chuckle, his tail starting to pat on the ground as his smile turned into a smirk.
“Yes I would like- love! Love a future with you Labrador.” He told him, his green eyes shining in excitement.
“And I’m okay with taking things slow. I understand that, but just for you to know…” he spoke as he leant in closer so he was at the height of his chest,
“You have no idea how happy you have made me asking those questions.” He added, his voice that calming softening tone.

Dante

Blaze confirmed his identity when he taunted Dante back claiming the brute was giving the ol tough wolf act, Dante was most certainly not even if it did seem as such he knew frustrated wolves gave information freely even if they did not intend to. Blindly he sat there with aching hips and a terribly throbbing shoulder waiting patiently to either be killed or liberated from this poor situation. Dante knew that Blaze was investigating the sleeping tuft of ebony fur that resided in the soft of his belly, I wonder what the brute is thinking? Probably inspecting Liberty’s orphaned pup to confirm its identity, he could do with a bit of hurrying it up…it’s bitter cold even if the wind and weather halt, it was only a couple breaths and then he heard the rustle of paws crunching in the snow retreating away from him, silently he bristled fearfully then held his breath putting all of his effort into hearing what Blaze was turning to say to his companion Akiro.

The only words he was able to make out in between the gentle gusts of the dying wind was ’Alert Nova……Koa…findings…’ and something else about someone’s help being especially needed. Dante silently let go of his breath swaying slightly as stars filled his eyes, Well they do not intend to kill me.. he concluded when he heard Blaze’s stomping feet turnabout and approach him once again, off in the distance he could hear the trotting paws of Akiro who split off, Does Nova now lead in Liberty’s stead? If my eyes did not deceive me and it is true what I saw all that time ago, then it would only make sense. Liberty’s body was a grotesquely twisted mass of nearly unrecognizable flesh. Only his stench gave way to who the remains were. Dante calmed himself the moment he heard Blaze’s voice speak up to him again proclaiming he could carry Eros which confirmed at least the child was safe and would be cared for, Dante did not hesitate and handed the child off to Blaze after nosing Eros warmly to wake him. Once Eros was out of Dante’s possession the injured wolf made an attempt to stand up. Dante was blind and did not see the shoulder that was being offered to him for support but he knew Blaze was close. Once to his feet his hip popped causing a spasm of pain and Dante nearly lost his footing but he recovered and huffed exhausted his breath was lost and he was fighting to have it back already.

Dante delicately nosed about searching for Blaze’s support, his frozen nose swept deep into the shoulder of Blaze then retreated in a flinch after founded. Blaze threatened Dante with death the avalanche could not give should he mistake this kindness for weakness. Injured Dante hobbled slowly over nosed Blaze again before leaning on him to alleviate some of the weight from his wounded shoulder. “Poor memory and deaf, it does not take much courage to threaten a blind injured wolf I dare say, Did you forget that I mentioned I would not incite harm onto you or yours, I am humbly at your mercy. “ the first step that lead to freedom from his suffering was agony his eyes rolled aimlessly while he suffered silently until a bit of sharp witted foolishness took him and he spoke spitefully an opinion not entirely based on facts but of his own personal design “Besides, your kindnesses was never the weakness of your pack it was your previous treacherous alpha, Liberty, a scoundrel with devilish agenda that had no concern with making peace or making a truce. He had all of you mystified and that, that’s what makes you weak.”

Destiny…My beloved Alpha she too was taken by that scoundrels words, I could see the stars in her eyes when they would speak. I hope that I have not caused any harm to our relationship with how firm I stood against Liberty. She must think me a thick and utter fool..Yet that’s perfect though isn’t it? A foolish fool leading other foolish fools…hilarious.

The black phase she wolf wagged her tail a bit as she saw River wagging her tail at Azure. She also smiled a bit of a canine smile. Glancing to her adopted daughter, she sighed and shook her head. Before looking to Castor as he also interrupted…She wanted to growl at him, but knew she shouldn’t. Therefore, she didn’t growl at him, but gave him a curt teply. Which was “we don’t have enough fighters to patrol places…Blaze asked me to bring a hunter along, specifically River, and she’s willing to help me.”

She then turned her attention to her daughter once more. Saying “No, you can not go with us, and you already know this. You’re not allowed to leave the camp until you’re at least like nine or ten months old. Since you probably be training then. You’re too little right now, and I will not take you anywhere where you could get hurt. I couldn’t save your real mother…and I’m not letting you end up like her.” She still felt pain thinking about Chi and Maison. Shaking her head, she smiled when the pup said Gauge had caught a hare.

The reddish looking male twitched darker ears.
His darker tipped tail flicked gently back and forth a couple of times.

He quickly turned his attention back to the other male of his pack. Same rank as him but higher, since Blaze was the lead fighter. He tilted his head as he looked at the other male. Watching him watch Dante before Blaze was then speaking to the other male. They both looked to the pup at the same time, Blaze and Akiro. He could now definitely tell it was Eros. He was so glad the pup was safe. Shaking his head, he turned his attention back to Blaze, and nodded at the other male. He said “Okay,” and turned back the way they’d come from. However, he hesitated for a moment and looked back at the other two. Checking to make sure it wasn’t just an act Dante was putting on…In an instant he knew it wasn’t, the other looked like he could barely even sit there, let alone stand up.

He hadn’t been faking it to get a chance to attack either one of them. He was in no shape to do much of anything, it seemed. Shaking his head, Akiro looked to the pup once more. Thinking about how both Nova and Gauge were going to be so happy. Gauge wasn’t Eros’ mother, but she’d been fond of the pup. She was fond of all the pups, and somehow had ended up raising almost all of them. He shook his head fondly at the thought. Then perked his ears as Blaze said he could carry the pup.

He noticed the lead fighter looking in his direction, so he quickly turned away again. He began to trot then lope back towards the camp. He was soon in a full on run. He made it back in what might be record time, and saw Castor stopping Gauge from leaving camp…He growled a bit…then rolled his eyes. Heading for Nova but finding she was talking to Ghost… He hesitated a moment, then said “Luna Nova! Blaze and I found Eros, but we…also found the Starlight beta with him…” he informed her.

The blue-gray pup and white pup glanced out of the nursery. Seeing Castor approach Gauge and seem to be holding her up…He sighed and shook his head. Wanting to go tell him off, but it seemed Kizo was already speaking to him and Gauge was speaking to him herself. He blinked as he looked to Kioku. Letting out an amused sound when she said her sister’s stomach had been having a party. He nodded and said “Come on, then. Maybe there’s some voles or shrews, or even a rabbit we could all share.”

The pretty but still handsome male blinked his blue and brown eyes. He sighed and shook his head a couple times then. Twitching his ears, and his nose moved a bit as he pointed it in to the air. Smelling the cool breeze, and the things around the camp. Shaking his head, he lowered his muzzle once more. His tail flicked back and forth gently across the ground. He heard the two talking in the den. He winced a bit as Scythe sounded like she might be a bit annoyed…and he stared down at his paws.

Kuroyuki- m, f at times- 2 y 9 mo- hunter- crush: Mikage, Ermin- Tags: Ermin, Yomi, Kuroi, Kiyu

The black phase one flicked their white tipped tail back and forth. Ears twitched and perked as he looked at them. The black wolf then said “Cypher had something to attend to…He and Destiny wanted to have a talk.” He then turned his attention to Ermin. He quickly looked to Kiyu, adding “He entrusted me to lead this hunt, and he brought in an elderly elk earlier.” He nodded as he looked at Kuroi. “Of course you can come with us,” he said to her. He hadn’t really seen any of the fighters, maybe they’d already went out.

He led the way towards where he could smell the scent of elk. The one he was smelling right now was the elderly one Cypher had hunted earlier. He could also of course smell the wolf’s faint scent. He reached where the elk must have been before. They’d moved off, which made sense since Cypher had been after the clearly one. The rest of the herd would have noticed. He followed the scent trail towards where they’d moved to. Pausing a moment to make sure the others were still behind him, then moving on.

The golden-cream slender and slightly smaller female winced a bit. “Sorry…” she said, and just hoped no one would get hurt while they were gone. She nodded at the other, and said “Okay. Let’s…go find some fish and…or…eggs then,” she said. Coughing a bit and shaking her head. She guessed she would still have to go easy with the talking for a bit, she was still coughing. She turned to head for the den entrance. Smelling Yuui out there and poking her head out to see he was sitting out there.

As the duo made their way around cam, she made sure to take in her surroundings. Doing the same as Ghost, taking in who was still at base while the others were out doing their job. Many of the wolves knew not to be seen by Nova , slacking in their roles. It was one of her biggest pet peeves. It took every paw to get things done around the pack. "Make note of those you see not doing their jobs." she murmured , to keep those in earshot from alerting the others.

Nova slowed her pace as she drew closer to the center of the base. Her eyes slightly lit up at their newly acquired healer. A blessing he was and in impeccable timing. With everything going on within there pack, they needed a healer. She sighed feeling as if another weight was lifted off of her shoulders. "Thankfully Koa seems to be doing his job." she watched as the healer made his way to his den after a supply run. Nova dipped her maw respectfully.

The two moved across camp together, ghosts tail stiff other than a slight twitch at the end. His optics shined in the sun along with the dusting of white within his pelt. His ears swiveled to Nova when she instructed for him to spot slackers. That's right, she was always on the pack about their responsibilities. It kept things running smoothly and Ghost could appreciate disciplining those slacking off. He slowly looked about, seeing everyone was doing what they should, mostly. At the mention of the new healer, ghost turned to catch the last bit of the sire disappear into the den. A healer was like gold during these times and Ghost was happy they had one who seemed diligent in his responsibilities.

Ghost froze stiff when a fighter approached them, eyes fixated on the Luna. His news made ghosts expression harden. Dante was alive? He had just cautioned Nova of this very wolf and he would be lying if he hadn't silently wished the sire had passed on. It allowed for more complications with dante in play. He had more history and connections to the past leadership of redmoon than anyone it sounded like. Ghost worried that knowledge would difficult things if Nova wished to rebrand them. Nova had explained that destiny was kind and would most likely be willing to side with peace, letting Ghost relax a bit. But now with dante...

Ghost glanced at Nova, missing the moment of happiness for the pup as he struggled with younger wolves. If Akiro bounced off as he was told, ghost would drop his voice low, stepping towards Nova and speaking only when out of earshot of the fighter. "Is bringing a starlight beta into camp so wise? Could Destiny mistake his injuries for something we did to him? If we aren't careful she may see this as a play just before our meeting."

If Akiro stayed near, ghost would remain silent, his worries floating through his mind. He would find a time to express them to Nova when they weren't in the public eye. So he would keep quiet and only turn to Nova to further take in how she felt about the situation.

The fae watched the various expressions on the sire's face after she offered him the scrap. It seemed to surprise him, and he didn't make much movement to eat it or thank her. Something in her chest tightened and she shifted her paws closer together, feeling a bit on edge. His gesture to give her food was kind, but she had no idea if there were other intentions behind it. The uncertainty bothered her and made her feel as if she had to be extra aware of her actions and words.

Her question earned a small response from Risen, something she didn't expect. She had thought maybe the drama or gossip may bring out a decent conversation for them both to partake in. That didn't seem the case. She paused in her eating to study him further for a moment. He didn't look mad... more... withdrawn. Something was bothering him? She wanted to ask but felt it may not be her place yet. Maybe getting him to talk about himself would allow him to open up. Others were more inclined to talk about themselves, no? Everyone was a little selfish at heart... or so Rhea thought.

With a soft clearing of her throat, she dropped her gaze to her paws and crouched down, savoring any warmth she had and also making herself appear smaller and less intimidating. "So, what's it like being a fighter? how did you decide that was the rank for you?" she glanced up at him for a moment, showing she was genuinely interested in his answer if he chose to give one.
