I'm running a bit late with this announcement, but regardless, I'd like to announce this contest to be officially over! c:

As to what comes next:

Starting Monday, I'm going to judge the entries over the course of the following week and decide on the winners and runner-ups ^.^

You can expect the results of the contest to be posted the next weekend (Saturday or Sunday) the latest, with the possibility of the results
being posted sooner if my schedule allows for it

Once winners are announced, I'll begin the process of handing out the prizes, starting from the first place winner and continuing down the
tiers as outlined in the post about "prizes"

Hello everyone, I hope you've been well and that your week is going great ♡

After days of careful consideration and losing myself in adoration of all the wonderful artworks, I'm coming back with results of this art competition

But first, let me offer one last massive THANK YOU to all the amazing artists who blessed me with art of my beloved characters. In my heart, you are all winners, and I cherish every single piece of art you made for me. The love and care you showed my characters through your art means the world to me ♡

Judging all these marvelous artworks has proven to be incredibly difficult, so I created myself a system to go by (whipping up a whole dedicated Trello board :"D). As I evaluated and placed each artwork into fitting categories I'd used as guidelines for judging, I realized a certain change would be appropriate. Ranking the artworks based on the points accumulated from the respective categories confirmed this for me, so I decided to make a crucial change to the placement system: there would in fact be total of 4 winners and 5 runner-ups in this contest!

Now, without further ado, I present you with the results c:

The colors and the way they come together in this one are simply stunning, I’m still in awe over your artstyle, and how the piece pops with so much vibrancy and life. I also love how you included his sunglasses, which adds even more character to the piece c:

The pose and his smile are everything, I adore this piece so much for how perfectly it encapsulates Alexander’s character and how the perspective chosen for the pose adds to the atmosphere the piece emits. Your vision for the piece is truly remarkable! ^.^

I love the choice of pose in this one, the looking over the shoulder, the way the colors come together and how the fire illuminates him, also the fire itself is drawn so gorgeously!

And the colors are just “muah” *chef’s kiss*

B a m b o o — entry

This could be just me, but he’s giving me such major cult leader vibes in this one with that expression and open arms, and you know what, that sounds about fitting for him, as starting a cult out of boredom is absolutely something he would do in his free time, so shoutout to you for showing me this side of him (whether it was intentional or not), which I’ve honestly didn’t really think about before but definitely fits his lore xD

This one’s the best depiction of his character yet; chills, absolute chills. I often don’t do him justice, but you captured his vibe and character perfectly, from the pose you chose to the expression and the body language :0

Also I adore the way you draw hands so much ;o;

I find solace and comfort in this peace, its atmosphere wisping around me like a warm, soothing blanket. It perfectly captures Charlie’s character and I adore their subtle smile, the relaxation and calmness expressed in their facial features. Makes me want to brew myself a cup of tea to sip right alongside them vuv

There are so many reasons I just love this scene and how perfectly it works for the pair, but let me start by saying that the bit I love the most is how perfectly it captures their dynamics and how canon this is to their story. I further adore how everything about their expressions and body language and actions fits their respective characters so perfectly. And the scenery itself is just stunning ♡

This one had me literally kicking my legs all giddy, and truth be told, I actually closed the tab the second after I’d clicked on it, because I was not mentally prepared for that level of adorableness the first thing in the morning x"D
But once I got over myself, I couldn't stop staring and adoring this piece. It breathes with so much character and captures both their personalities and their dynamics perfectly, I mean, just look at those expressions! I’ve since grown a bit of mental fortitude, but it doesnt matter whether I’m seeing it for the first time or for the hundreath, I can’t help but smile and feel giddy all over again c":

I’ve liked this piece from the very moment I’ve seen it, but the more I looked at it, the more I fell in love with it. Everything about it just spoke to me; the colors, the fluidity of the movement, the atmosphere seeping from it; it hit every mark and found its way to the top of nearly every category my mind produced to judge the entries before I even knew what those categories would be. I absolutely adore the color palette; the stylistic choices; the pose which is so dynamic and fluid, breathing with motion; the way I can basically feel the crisp autumn breeze on my skin and smell the earthy forest scent after a sudden rainshower just by looking at it; and I could go on and on, but to put it simply, this piece just completely blew me away ♡
