"That's awesome." Sophie agreed, grinning.

Charles nods and smiles.

Mia told Sky to say hello, so he flew over on Charles' shoulder. Sky chirped, then flew back to Mia. Mia giggled. "He's a good bird. And one of the few parakeets that can talk. I love you Sky," Mia said.

"Love you," Sky said in a raspy voice.

"Parakeets aren't good talkers, so his voice isn't too clear," Mia said. She had a strong bond with Sky.

Sugar was glaring at the bird now with mistrust. Sugar hated birds because she'd almost been killed by some crows once.
"Thats cool." Sophie smiled faintly, absentmindedly stroking Sugar.

Sky chirped and snuggled up to Mia's neck. Mia noticed the monkey eying the bird. "Uh, is the monkey okay? She looks a bit upset at Sky." Mia cuddled the bird to her neck.

"Oh, yeah. Sugar just doesn't like birds. That's actually how I came across her. She was an escapee from some circus or something and she was attacked by a bunch of crows. I saved her and took her home." Sophie explained.

Charles smiles and watches them talk. He started scratching Fritz and then Kage on the back of their neck.

"Oh," Mia said. "Maybe I should put Sky up then," she said, a bit worried for her bird. Sky was 5 years old and she wasn't ready to lose him yet.

"Sugar won't touch your bird." Sophie assured her.
