After a few deep breaths princess Adeline was able to compose herself, and the warmth in her cheeks began to cool. For a moment she was quite worried that she wouldn’t be able to. Once more she turned to face her companion, listening intently to his words. Although she felt herself getting quite tired she wasn’t exactly thrilled she was going to have to part with the other. In fact the idea of sleeping alone worried her slightly. “I agree, to be honest with you I was going to ask if you would teach me. Not that I think you aren’t capable, but I don’t want to be a burden to you or anyone else.” She said, her eyes reflecting the sincerity in her words. The idea of learning how to use a weapon thrilled her and she knew it would make her more independent and strong in the future. “I appreciate your willingness to help Alok, truly it goes a long way.” She added after a moment, smiling at the other gently.

Alok searched her face for any underlying emotions to the idea before his eyes met with hers. Behind the tired look, he could make out the sincerity and determination in her eyes. Seeing this made him smile more,"I'm glad you think so. I have a few ideas of where to begin in finding a weapon for you, but that can wait till tomorrow." He said. The elf paused for a moment in thought before he gently laid his hand on top of the female elf's,"Adeline. Know that none of us think of you as a burden. You never have been and you never will be." He told her truthfully in a soft and calming voice. He watched her for a few seconds before he gave a gentle smile and pushed himself away from the bar before standing up,"Come on, now. Let's get you to bed." He cooed softly, extending his hand out to her.

“I agree, it’s probably not the best idea to try and wield a weapon for the first time when I’m tired hm?” Adeline teased, giggling softly after she spoke. “I am quite excited to see what you have in mind for me, and I’m determined to figure out what works best!” She exclaimed truthfully, in fact she was very eager to be allowed to wield such a thing. It had been a secret desire of hers since she had been young, but her father would never let her as it was improper for a woman to. Yet she always found that quite incorrect.

As Adeline felt Alok’s hands on hers that same pesky blush began to creep onto her cheeks once more, no matter how much she tried to will it away. “Thank you Alok, I trust you.” She said, feeling a large wave of relief wash over her. She hadn’t realized how much she had needed to hear those words until now. “Bed sounds lovely.” She hummed, gently taking his hand as she got up to walk to her room.

Alok chuckled a bit at her comment before he shook his head,"No, I think I would fear for my own safety if we were to do that." He teased in returned. He was glad that she took a shining to the thought of learning how to wield a weapon. In truth, he wasn't sure how she was going to act, being a princess and all. He smiled at her tired enthusiasm,"I'm sure you will. No doubt." He agreed with her,
Judging from her body language and how she instantly relaxed, the elf could tell that he had done the right thing, making him smile even more,"Good. Let's go." He said softly as he pulled her up to her feet. Once she had her footing, he held her hand and gently lead her out of the tavern room and up the stairs to where the sleeping quarters were,"This one was your room, right?" He asked her as he approached one of the doors.

Adeline followed behind Alok, a slight yawn escaping from her lips as they headed towards her room. The closer the two got the more tired the princess began to feel. She was exhausted and was extremely thankful to finally have a bed to sleep in after sleeping on the cold ground for the past few nights. It was a miracle she hadn’t thrown her back out doing so. “Yeah this is the one,” she said softly, her voice now reflecting her exhaustion. “Thank you for taking care of me.” She said sweetly, looking up at him with her sleepy eyes.

Alok nodded when she confirmed the room before he opened it up for her, and smiled,"Anytime. Need me to tuck you into bed?" He asked in a playful voice, deciding to mask the tiredness of his own voice,"Or will you be alright?" He asked her gently. While he first meant his question in a teasing way, he wouldn't say now if the princess actually agreed to being put into bed with a bit of help.

Adeline could tell that Alok was teasing her, yet she longed to say yes so that the two wouldn’t have to part so soon. The princess fought with her choices for a moment before replying “only if you want to,” in the same teasing tone her companion had. “But Alok I can tell you’re tired as well, you should get some rest.” She said gently, searching his eyes for a sign of what he was thinking. Sometimes it was hard to tell as his knight training served him well, keeping him more reserved than her.

Alok looked at her a little surprise by her response before he returned it with a gentle smile. She didn't say no,"Don't worry about me, my lady. I'll be sure to get plenty of rest tonight." He assured her before he slowly started to walk backwards into her room, leading her once again. In truth, he wasn't ready to part with her, even if his room was right next to hers. There was something about this night that just made him want to prolong the interaction,"Into bed now." He said in a caring tone.

“Well you better, I’m sure that I will be keeping you very busy tomorrow.” Adeline purred, playfully winking at him as she followed him into the room. Before the female got into bed she stood in front of the male for a brief moment, contemplating her next actions very carefully. Whilst the female wanted to be bold, to hold him close to her, she wasn’t quite sure if now was the right moment. The tension between the two was palpable, yet they were both tired, was she even thinking clearly? She wasn’t quite sure so she faltered for a brief moment before gently pulling him close once more, leaning her head on his chest with a contented sigh escaping from her lips. “Thank you again,” she murmured as she pulled back, a soft pink creeping onto her cheeks once more. The female then turned her back to him and climbed into bed, watching him carefully as she bid him goodnight.

Alok stopped in front of the bed before he looked confused, and yet curious, to the princess standing before him. He was unsure what was going through her head, but at the same time, did he know what was going through his own? When she finally moved and pull him in, the knight smiled and responded by carefully wrapping his arms around her,"You're welcome." He whispered back to her. The elf was a little sadden when the hug ended, but knew it was probably for the best. After Adeline climbed into the bed, he gently pulled the bedsheets on top of her before slowly moving to the door. He stopped for a moment at the door before he turned and looked back at her,"Goodnight... my lady." He bid to her in a soothing voice.
He stepped out into the hall, closing the door behind him before he just stood there. His heart was pounding in his chest as he looked down at his hands, still feeling the warmth of the embrace. Alok smiled to himself before slightly frowning, shaking his head slightly. Why was he attracting feelings for her? She was a princess, and he was but a knight in her father's army. It would never work between them, especially if the king had anything to say about it. He had to control himself. The elf gave a silent sigh before he moved to his room and closed the door to have some rest.

Bright and early the next morning, just as the sun was starting to rise over the horizon, Kisa tossed her head a little in her sleep with a small whimper before her eyes shot open with a gasp and she quickly sat up in the bed. She watched as the cloth that was previously laying on her head fell onto her lap as she started to regain control of her breathing. Another dream, just like the last. One that frightened her, but also made no sense to her. Parts that she understood, but other parts that were unclear. The kitsune slowly raised a shaky hand to her forehead before her fingers tenderly touched the bandage wrapped around her head.
Her head had a throbbing pain to it, and she wasn't sure if it was from her injury or the dream. Perhaps both. The light from the rising sun slowly peeked it's way through the window, adding a bit of light to the room. The kitsune's ears twitched and flickered slightly to a sound next to her before she slowly turned her head. When she saw that the knight was asleep there, she yipped in surprise as she moved to put some distance between them, only to find herself slip backwards out of the bed and land on the ground with a thump and a yelp.
