2024 Halloween Event - Casual Chat

I....kinda dont want events to continue at this point. It's fun at first but then is just becomes scammy, demanding, and anxiety inducing. It's not fun anymore. I feel like some people are ssying something nice because they have to but if that restriction wasnt hokding them back they would totally go off. Not to mention how passive aggressive people can be when you send a trade they dont like or want for whatever reason

you never have to feel pressured to participate :3 only do things that make you happy! I love the events and they are fun for me, its all about preferences.

It's interesting to follow this convo because everybody complained about the demand but nobody tried to change it.
When somebody offers you overpay, you don't have to accept it. Just edit it into a normal trade! Thats what I do, often I even end up gifting pets to people.
Only because everybody scrambles around trying to get the pet before it's rarity is released makes it possible to GET so Much overpay. The pet wont run away, just wait a few days and you'll get a fair swap.
If everybody starts behaving like this, than we can change CS again!
Imagine it like a vote. One vote may not count in a big mass but it can Set off an avalanache of people behaving equally! And the people who behave like scammers will outcast themselfs over time, I saw it happening time after time after time.

I mean, I've been doing exactly that, offering litter swaps and my spare banner foxes either for straight swaps or a free pet. I even had a skeleton fox in my litter swaps folder (which actually sat there for a while). What do you suggest we do other than that?

I do this too, I at least tell the person they're overpaying, and half the time they want to, but I always try to not let them

Keeping it up and encouraging people to do the same. Of course, this wasn't coined towards you but people over the past two pages who said "I got pet x and accepted overpay y".

It wont change CS overnight, and I doubt CS will ever be free off greed as Long as Store Pets are handle the way they are. But it wasn't so bad just a couple years ago and we can change it back.

I did not ask for it, but why would I refuse the chance to get some wishlist pets if people willingly offer?

On another note, I did not understand the huge demand for the blue banner fox during the first one to two days after its release anyways. I mean, demand is still high, but during the first days it seemed really crazy. Knowing that there are still so many days left to collect banners I was not sure why people started panicking, but tbf maybe I was just this relaxed because I got so lucky. Dunno.

Banner pets are always high in demand same thing happened last year and they were rodents. not everyone likes rodents but because they’re banners the value is assumed to be rare but when rarities came out they became uncommon. When it comes to hoping for a fair enough trade, I think I’ve learned is that you have a bit more of a chance to trade with players who are not in trade threads all the time advertising high demand pets that they may/may not even trade for.
