I managed to somehow snag an entirely Halloween dated set

I would think token bats (or any growing pet, for that matter) wouldn’t be released on the last day of the event, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my end because I dread having to ration tokens for them and blindly bet on the outcome number when token hunting is already winding down and I’m getting ready to auction off my remainders. I would be so so much more forgiving of growing token pets if they were the litters that all grew at once after a day

While it's just as rare as the other token growing bats, it was hell to trade for since many people panicked about missing a very rare outcome.

Has there ever been a token bat cage in the history of CS released on the very last day?

It makes sense if they’re supposed to grow into November to release them when there’s 2-3 days left (maybe even 4), but the very last day seems a little unfair? By the last day a lot of people will either be maxed out on tokens, or are probably winding down and not hunting as hard so that would limit people on their adoptions… from looking at the archives there does appear to be at least a few years where there was only ever 1 bat cage released so there is a good chance the freebies may be all we get for bats for the event.

So I did a little research myself out of curiosity (and my own anxiety) as to when previous bat cages were dropped:

TLDR: if token bat cages were to actually drop tomorrow - it would be an official CS first

2010 - couldn’t find a specific day that they first dropped but as of October 18th there were discussions of a bat cage existing and people eagerly awaiting to see what was inside and hoping it was bats.

2011 - many of the images in both version 1 & 2 of the threads are corrupted, however there is history of people already having grown bats and waiting on remaining cages as early as October 26th.

2012 - Bat cage was released on day 4 (was a 12 day event)

2013 - bat cage was released on day 2 (was a 12 day event)

2014 - bat cage was released on day 13 (was a 17 day event)

2015 - first bat cage appeared on day 6, second appeared on day 10 (was an 11 day event)

2016 - first bat cage appeared on day 5, second appeared on day 9 (was an 11 day event)

2017 - first bat cage appeared on day 5, second appeared on day 8 (was a 10 day event)

2018 - first bat cage appeared on day 3, second appeared on day 7 (was a 12 day event)

2019 - bat cage was released on day 6 (was a 13 day event)

2020 - first bat cage was released on day 2, second bat cage was released on day 4 (was an 11 day event)

2021 - first bat cage was released on day 2, second bat cage was released on day 6 (was an 11 day event)

2022 - first bat cage was released on day 2, second bat cage was released on day 6 (was an 11 day event)

2023 - first bat cage was released on day 6, second bat cage was released on day 8 (was an 11 day event)

* the first double bat cage didn’t appear until 2015. Until then every year prior there was only 1 bat cage released.

So I think based on the data of all the previous years, it’s highly unlikely they’ll drop cages tomorrow as they have never released cages on the last day of the event. The absolute closest we have had is the second to last day as seen in 2015 when we got our first set of double bat cages, however since then they’ve always been released before the end of the event. So if it were to actually happen, it would legitimately be a CS history first.

Edit: I’m editing to add that when I say something is a 11 day, 12 day, 13 day, etc event - it is only counting how many days there were release days not the total days for the entire event.

Oof, had terrible luck with adopts today!

Adopted 4 foxes and every single one was this one!

And I got 6 of this little guy:

The only double of the batch and missed two outcomes x.X

Thankfully litterswaps comes easy and I'm just missing the red bunny now ^.^

that's so unfortunate especially given all the tokens you paid for them! normally my luck with this sort of stuff is god awful but the gacha gods have decided upon me for my favorite holiday of the year

Unrelated, but can we talk about how one of them was 17 days long and all the rest of them are like 11 or 12? I would like to celebrate Halloween for the entire month of October every year


Editing to add that I personally would feel swindled if we didn’t get token bat cages like I feel like that is a staple part of the event. Also, your research didn’t mention if they were tokens or free back cages because there are some bats in the archive from like 2014 that are still very common and the token bats from I think, off the top of my head, 2022 all ended up very rare. I have to say I am sad we didn’t get more lions, so I still want my roulette bat cages lol

I am at 207 Tokens now, only got one red banner fox. luckily I got the other two without playing an arm and a leg. I usually don't have such problems with the banner pets, even thought I usually don't hunt that many tokens

However, the free pets seem to be so hard to get this event. I am now only missing one snake and I am so glad that I got all todays free outcomes from my adoption! ^^

My favourite pet so far is this one:

I love all of the cauldron pets, but this one with its little leg out of the cauldron is just so cute!^^
