I keep seeing a ton of posts worrying about getting the Banner Pets and the Bat Caterpillar, and I genuinely need to stress this, if any of you are worried about getting these Pets…just…wait.

Wait not even a Month, when the Event’s over and Rarities change, and you’ll be seeing these Event Pets readily up for trade. I doubt the Demand these Pets have currently will be sticking around for long. Even the Blue one will most likely only be a Rare at best.

This FOMO mentality happens every single time…and it never really lasts. And if you see a person still expecting a lot of overpay after the event, I bet you there’s bound to be plenty of other people out there who’ll take offers for their duplicates at a fair rate. You just have to look for them.

I can’t agree with this more. I remember the (march?) PPS otter being super hard to find if not overpaying…people were literally giving store pets for it. A month, maybe closer to two later I found it in a free group being given away. Having patience is key, and dedicating maybe 15 minutes a day (ideally more if possible) to searching goes SUCH a long way.

In terms of the FOMO, (and people can correct me if wrong) I feel like it also comes from wanting your pets to sit a certain way in groups so you have more stress on getting certain dates/IDs which I get for higher value pets such as lists or URs as that also directly affects their value…but for monthlies I don’t understand why having the pet isn’t enough as this mentality contributes to the inflation of pets that won’t be worth more than a recent rare at the end of the month.

On the note of pets I am absolutely in love with all the dwarf hamsters we have been getting! I finsihed my collection a little while ago, so it’s nice to be able to be looking for them again!! Not to mention the spider ones which are absolutely adorable x3.

and there are cases thats not the case i eather you also have to take that into account me i just want to get all the event pets i can care less about the date and id i just want to get it 100% thats it

Does anyone know how to get the fire fennec foxes from the halloween event?

They are banner pets. Sometimes, when you click on a banner, you might randomly get a fox instead of candy.

This might be an unpopular opinion based on some of the posts here, but I actually like the crazy demand for pets that happens during events. If I'm lucky enough to get a banner pet or a rarer outcome and people are overpaying for it, it gives me a chance to get older, higher demand pets that I wouldn't be able to get through normal outcomes.

Without having old pets, it's really hard to successfully trade for them, and with the demand that happens during events, people offer older pets which is really helpful if you are a newer player.

This is the first year I’ve really had problems with trading. I managed to trade the first banner pet for the orange caterpillar (fine by me I have SO many of him). But people won’t even accept a 2011 rare for the 3rd banner pet (which I know would be massive overpay anyway). Trying to relax cause I know I usually pull them right after trading for them which is annoying and we still have quite a while to go. Really I should wait to trade until I’m certain I won’t get it myself.

Also unpopular opinion, but I personally dislike how the trade boards are set up. Once the event or month is over, the trade thread gets unpinned.

I wonder how in Chicken Smoothie do people trade for previous months pets when the swap thread is gone?

Do they just spend hours of their time bumping their own post in the trade thread? Personally I have very poor luck at this and wind up much more frustrated than if I just pay up as the event unfolds. That way I got everything and I don't need to spend long days bumping my own post.
