** UPDATED RULE 5. There are artists of all ages and skill-levels here. Please treat one another with respect and do not complain if the art you receive doesn’t live up to your idea of quality. When requesting types of art, refrain from using language such as "beginner/newbie" or requiring "advanced/intermediate" art for your claim.

With that being said, please put your best effort into the artwork you do here. If we have reason to believe your artwork was rushed/sloppy, we may confront you about the art in question and ask you to either fix any issues with the piece or to redo your claim. "Low quality" art does not reflect on skill level but rather effort and may consist of: sketchy lines (unstylistic), deviation from main design, coloring outside of lines in multiple areas.

Hello everyone!! Just popping in with an announcement of the above update to rule #5. The sentences in red highlight the changes to the rule.

Going forward from this post, I will ask that users carefully and politely follow this rule. DCAY is a community of supporting artists of all types and skills, and I would appreciate the effort to maintain a warm, friendly environment for everyone on CS.

As the rules state, please do NOT request types of art that utilize the language given as examples in the rule. You may not request against "beginner/newbie" art and you may not request a claim that's "advanced/intermediate". If language like this is seen on the thread, you will be given a warning to remove that language. Instead, please use language along the lines of low quality/low effort/rushed/messy.

The second highlight gives more information as to what "low quality" art may look like. This consists of sketchy/messy lines, deviation from the main design & major marking removals, and coloring outside of the lines in large areas. If art like this is posted as a claim, you will be given a warning and requested to fix the art.
