Eli was absolutely buzzing with excitement on the way to the Park today. He had his heart set on going to the Lake for a swim, and the moment the car door opened he took off running towards it. Eli was breathless by the time he reached the opposite end of the Park, but didn't slow a moment -- hopping straight into the water with a huge splash! Only his excitement was short lived, as the freezing water soaked through his fur and chilled him to the bone. He bolted out in his shock, before furiously shaking the water from his pelt. He spent the rest of the day sunbathing to try and forget about his icy plunge.

Jinx enjoyed their time at the River today. It was far too cold for swimming, but they took pleasure in watching the fish fighting the current, and the dead leaves of fall floating gently past on the water's surface. It was tranquil, and they found themselves drifting off to the sounds of the River. When they awoke sometime later, they decided to take a souvenir to remember the day by.

Maple and Celia trekked through the Forest gleefully. The crisp fall air had brought people to the Park in droves, and the walking paths were crowded that day as a result. But Celia had had the idea to deviate from the path entirely, and they had run off together into uncharted territory. They had found many cool things on their adventure so far; such as piles of fallen leaves (which they of course paused in their adventure to play in), cool bugs, and even a toppled tree! The tree looked old, and had a variety of mushrooms and fungi growing on it. Maple took a few to surprise Celia with later.

Moonbeam was so excited to be present for Alaska's first trip to the Park. As an adult, she still loved going herself. But there was just something different about going for the first time as a child, when the world around still felt so new and wonderful. She still remembered her first day at the Park, not being able to believe how big the "outside" actually was. When they arrived and began to walk around the Field, Moonbeam kept glancing over at her child to see their reaction. But they seemed neutral, or even unimpressed. Eventually they stopped by the Park fountain, and Moonbeam asked Alaska what she thought about it all. Alaska's response? "It's alright, I guess."
