Destiny padded a few steps into the camp center when approaching steps catching her attention. An ear flicked into the direction of the paws as she turned her head to look at one of the pack hunters, Kuroyuki. Destiny offered a kind smile and a dip of her head in greeting. When it was mentioned 'to check on you' she made sure to adjust her posture. Seem more okay than she truly was.

"Good morning Kiroyuki, I am doing well" she began, ensuring to keep her voice confident and not falter "The pack is finally beginning to go back to normal routine which has been nice" she added. "How about you? How have you been holding up?" she asked with a concerned look on her face. Destiny made it a point to have catch up conversations with as many pack members as she could. You never knew who needed some extra support.

Blaze couldn't help but let his tail wag at Niko's response "I'm not sure who you learned that from but wow- is he smart" Blaze joked before watching Niko and Gauge's morning interaction. Hearing Niko quickly dismiss himself. Offering a tilt of the head "Alrighty, Maybe we can go on a patrol later" he called out as his considered pup left. Goodness they seemed like desperate parents once Niko had left.

"Did that seem odd to you or was that just me?" Blaze asked looking at Gauge. He shrugged before offering the black wolf a soft nuzzle "Good morning by the way" he greeted her officially. Blaze was still getting used to the idea of having a mate. After he and Gauge had taken in Niko, they had discussed becoming mates to provide him with a true parent set. Blaze was almost in cultureshock. He had never imagined having a mate, nevertheless a pup.

A voice called the tan wolf as she exited the den. Turning back slowly, River rested her eyes on Akiro and Azure who had both made a comment to her. She offered a small tail wag in greeting "Oh good morning, Akrio, Azure" she commented nodding her head in the direction of each of them. "How are you both this morning?" she asked kindly. River was thankful for the interaction as it pulled her from her own thoughts.

Taking a few steps back towards the pair, River flicked her tail so that they were in a more comfortable conversation zone. With them all currently being different rankings she always welcomed conversation. Part of her wanted to pull Azure aside later and see how the pup was doing. He had been through so much in a short period of time.

Without another word, he was off to his duties. His tail swooshed low behind him, spiritless. Unfortunately, Niko could not help but to overthink things. While he understood that Chi had passed during the avalanche, why did SHE have to take in those pups. There were plenty of wolves that could have cared for them. Niko's tail whipped in frustration before settling back to its previous tune.

By the time Niko looked up, he was halfway out of the base. However, the sound of paw steps had begun to approach him. If he hadn't been North of the other wolf, he would have smelt her coming in his direction. The young wolf lifted his head to turn around and see the Luna right behind him. "Luna." he whispered and dipped his head to her. She said something to him and his ear twitched. Nova's tone sounded concerned for him, she'd seen his performance with his parents.

Dark grey ears laid back against the top of his head and he softly whimpered. "I feel like I'm being replaced. They couldn't wait to get a new set of pups?" he asked, irritation lingering in his voice. Those sweet puppy eyes looked up at Nova, flashing a hint of jealousy and hurt. She nudged him and spoke again, encouraging him. He gave her a half smirk and heavily sighed, glad that she caught him before he'd gone out. Luna Nova gave him another gentle nudge and motioned him to continue on. Moments after, he took off again, but this time with a bit more bounce than before. His trot kicked up speed as he bolted towards the border again.

The wind howled continuously through his ears, a freeze like feeling crept inside. Niko had finally reached the outskirts, eyeing down the Starlight territory. A memory of Eros played, sneaking across the border and trying to convince Niko to go with him. Niko knew better than to do such a thing, even if it was seemingly harmless. The great divide between the packs and his parents' semi sternest kept him on current grounds. A small pinch of grief stumbled into his heart and he howled to the skies. His friend, even despite the few short months, was now gone..forever. When he finished paying his respects, he began to walk again, along the border scouting for any potential signs of danger.

Her casual stroll around the base had come to a halt, her attention was snagged by the Gauge,Blaze, and their pup Niko. Her gaze softened at the sight of them, they did good raising the young wolf. Nova was confident that Niko would make a great way into the pack, regardless of rank. Her fixated brown gaze watched over Niko's body language, he gave way that something was wrong.

Nova's suspicion turned true as the teen wolf marched away from the duo and left them looking clueless. Instantly, the Luna moved quickly on her feet to catch up with the younger wolf. "Niko, are you alright?" her voice low, curious, and concerned. The emotions in his body language seemed to twist faster than a tornado. He answered her and when he did, the wolf sounded as if he was hurt by something his parents had done. She heavily sighed, while it wasn't her place to actually parent Niko, she loved him just same as Gauge did. His well being was still something she tried to stay on top of.

"Replaced? Oh Niko. I'm sure they aren't going to replace you." she nudged him, gently rubbed her head on him. He briefly leaned into her, accepting her affections. "Your mother is just that, a mother. She yearns to nurse pups and raise them. Each of you have your own place." she added. She gave him a gentle smile, hoping that he could understand what she meant about his mother. While her and Gauge did not always see eye to eye, Nova knew that Gauge only wanted to be a mother and the mate to Blaze. "Go for a stroll to clear your mind and go talk to your parents. They love you." she urged before she gave the wolf another gentle nudge and watched him bound off. The she wolf sighed again, relieved to be of some service, before wondering off to check on her pack members.

On her way, she had passed by Blaze and Gauge and graciously dipped her head at the two of them. "Good morning." she greeted the pair. For a moment, she almost spilled the beans on what Niko shared with her. However, the trust that they had made her hold back details of their conversation. To no benefit of her own, but for Niko's sake, so that he could share his feelings with them on his own terms. "He needs a little time." Was all that she said before continuing to walk and check on other wolves.

The black phase she wolf blinked green eyes with their gold ringing. She nodded her head as she looked at her mate. Sighing a bit as the young wolf didn’t even answer her…She watched as he went off, but he wasn’t a pup any longer or in training. He was actually able to do duties like them now. She glanced around for a moment, letting out a second sigh. She then quickly quieted herself, though closed her eyes a moment. When she opened them again, she looked to Blaze and smiled a canine smile.

She said “Good morning, and…yeah, that was a bit odd. You don’t…think he’s jealous of the new pups, do you? I mean…you don’t think he’s mad we took in Chi’s pups, do you?” She was just guessing, and that was the only thing she could think of. She nuzzled him, though quickly stepped back when Nova approached. She let out a breath, and scolded herself for that reaction. She nodded to the other she wolf. She said “Good morning Luna,” then let out a small sound…before saying “Okay,” after the other said Niko needed time.

The reddish looking male twitched darker ears. His darker tipped tail was still now, though he resisted the urge to wag it as River looked over. He nodded towards the younger she wolf. He said “I’m doing fine, though…I still miss the others…” he sighed. He then looked to the pup, as Azure sighed. He knew the pup must have had a mother out there.

He stared at the golden eyed pup a moment…He then shook his head, as the pup wasn’t exactly answering the she wolf. He said “I think Azure must miss his mom…his um…real mom, birth mom.” He then shook his head and looked away. Worried he’d offend the pup. Since he answered instead of letting the pup.

The blue-gray pup and white pup nodded to the she wolf. She was a bit older than him, but she and Akiro were both wolves he’d honestly play with. He’d race them or play tag. Chase them or practice hunting and stuff like that if they’d ever want to.

They were basically both still pups, since they were under three. He considered wolves three or older as adults. He shook that thought away, and stared at Akiro…The other seemed worried, since the red one suddenly looked away, but him speaking had actually helped, and Azure said “I…I do miss her…”

The pretty but still handsome male sighed a bit…then he shook his head. He was still smaller and slender, even after three months. He thought of those they’d lost…including one that had looked like him. He almost wondered if they could have been related. Shaking his head, he pawed at his brown snout. Brown ears twitched as his brown tipped tail flicked back and forth. One blue eye and one brown eye looked around. Sighing as any of the others that were still pups didn’t seem to be awake yet.

The black phase one flicked their white tipped tail back and forth. The white jawed and toed one nodded as they looked at her. They didn’t seem to notice how she adjusted her posture. That or they just decided they really shouldn’t say anything about it. He smiled a canine smile at her, then. He nodded as she said good morning, and that she was doing well.

Her voice sounded confident and had not seemed to falter at all. Therefore, he believed her words that she was in fact doing well. They nodded and said “Indeed it is. I’m just glad we can get back to normal, though we should never forget about the others. We can honor them every year, or…something.” They suddenly thought maybe honoring the wolves every year wouldn’t work…It could honestly be doable. They said “Oh, I'm…still a bit sad, but I’m doing better.”

The golden-cream slender and slightly smaller female sighed and sat up. Shaking her head and looking around the healer den. She glanced around for Scythe, but didn’t see her. Either Scythe was still sleeping, or Miracle just didn’t notice her. Considering she felt a bit sick, and was also still feeling bad about the losses, it made sense. It might be easy to not notice the other was there. She coughed again, and shook her head. She didn’t like having colds…she’d never liked to have a cold.

Destiny nodded as Kuroyuki spoke, listening intently to their feeling and how they were holding up. A kind smile appeared as she could sense the pain the wolf was feeling and the idea to remember those lost was brilliant. Destiny had secretly snuck away once and spoke her memorial for Dante into a re-growing tree. One the avalanche had started taking out but hadn't completely destroyed. It reminder her of her past friend.
With a nod she spoke "That is a wonderful idea, I am not sure how we would ensure it is a year. But I think we should honor those who we have lost. A way for the pack to heal and know they are still beside us." She spoke softly. "Would you be interested in taking point to organize that? I am happy to assist, but since it was your idea I would love for you to have the credit to it" she confirmed.

Blaze listened to Gauge's words, her assumption to why Niko had acted in the manner he did. With an ear flick he nodded "Honestly, it could potentially be" he agreed. "I'll get with Niko later and see if I can talk to him." He suggested. Knowing Gauge was more focused on the new pups as of recent - understandably so. They were young and the loss of their mother was detrimental. Blaze kept more to himself with the new pups. He would be there if they needed anything but to be honest, the idea of being a parent to more than Niko gave him anxiety.

Before going more into depth with Gauge, their new Luna - Nova had approached. He dipped his head respectfully as Gauge and Nova exchanged pleasantries "Good morning Luna" he commented with a tail flick. Blaze considered himself and Nova to be decent friends, she was one of the only wolves he could trust with no doubts. Which was rare for Blaze. He nodded in agreement with Nova as she spoke regarding Niko. Before she got too far, he bounded after the Luna. "Nova - wait up" he called before pacing slightly behind her. "I know you're doing rounds - But I wanted to check on you and how you are doing" he mentioned. "Besides, I want to pick your brain on the borders.."

She nodded, knowing a bit of the pain Azure must feel. Her eyes softened "I understand" she said with a gentle voice. "I miss my mother a lot too. It's hard when they're not beside us anymore" she began, her voice beginning to break. "It's one of the hardest things to accept - however, they are always with us." She explained offering a small smile of sympathy. "when I miss my mother, I look to the sky. Sunset specifically. I just have a feeling when I look at it that it she is there - watching over me" She added with a wag of her tail. River took a moment to glance at Akiro, feeling bad to have just spilled a lot of personal information to the both of them rather than pulling Azure aside to speak. However, Akiro was the one who initially mentioned that Azure missed his mother.

She could not have gotten more than a few feet away from the pair before a voice called out to her. Her walk halted and her gaze was over her shoulder, to see Blaze following behind her. Her gaze softened a bit when she looked at him and a half smile was all she could give. "I'm managing. It's different - to lead a pack." She began to share and fell back on her haunches. "With Liberty gone, everything is .... peaceful." there was much more that she wanted to say. Like losing Eros, while she and Liberty were never going to happen, Eros was her son. And she saw it no different. While she also grieved the loss of so many of their pack members, her son hurt the most. "Losing pack members is hard. Losing Eros hurts the most." she managed to get out in a soft whisper. Her eyes matched Blaze's and a twinkle of sadness quickly glossed over them. "I hope you never have to experience that feeling." she murmured and hoped that he didn't take that as a threat to his pups.

Although Blaze had come over to check on her, she felt the need to also check in on him. A probably happier note than before. "How about you?" she asked. Feeling as if she already knew the answer to her own question. "I imagine having a mate, adopting pups, and getting your deserved rank is a lot in a few short months." she mentioned. Her smile broadened, he must be happy about some of his accomplishments over the last six months. Especially his rank, thankfully he didn't have to fight Liberty. From what she could recall, the pack was worried that Liberty would have taken Blaze out or seriously injured him to prove a point. Her tail flickered in thumps behind her and her attention drifted between his mate who was still where he left her, before retreating back to him. Deep down, she was thankful to have a friend like Blaze. One of the very few who were loyal to her from the beginning of her reign. Even when she was the Beta to the pack, he'd shown so much respect and truly made a difference. That was one of the huge reasons Nova made him the Lead Fighter.

Upon the Lead hunter's response, she felt slightly relieved. She wasn't cocky, but very confident in her work and knew that she would be considered one of the best hunters the pack had. She returned the cordial smile. "It's funny how the tables have turned." She laughed at her comment. Thinking back to when Cypher was injured for a few weeks and she had taken over in his absence. The hunters had done an amazing job playing the role, but was glad to return to a regular hunter once he fulled healed. "I'll try to catch smaller things if I can. Thank you for understanding." she dipped her head and rose to her paws, this time careful of not putting weight onto it.

After the avalanche, Kiyu had a difficult time readjusting. It was hard enough losing her mother at a young age, but her father passing after ensuring that all of the pups in the pack had survived was difficult. Louie did what he was meant to do, protect the pups. Sometimes, kiyu wish he of just saved himself, maybe he would still be here with her. Now to be parentless at one. Even if she didn't depend on either of them, having them around would have been nice.

Kiyu was still sound asleep in her newly acquired den. She hadn't left it in a few days from the constant crying and wishing she could rewind time. In her den, she laid wrapped into her own ball. The rays of gold disturbed her slumber, causing her to stir. She softly groaned rolling over till her belly met the sun. Her body stretched across the den and soon left the ground, slowly emerging from the little place she called hers. She held her head high, hoping the maybe she could run into a familiar face. Kiyu yearned to take the pain away of thinking about the past, it had been three months since Louie's death and she still felt as if it happened yesterday.

Seeing Nova welcome his company, Blaze offered a wag of his tail. However he stopped as she answered his question, nodding in understanding he gave her shoulder a gentle nudge encouraging her. Nova was excelling in being the Luna, things moved seamlessly and the care she had for the pack shone through. His ears fell back at the mention of Eros. That loss had hit him hard, not as Nova felt but hard. Eros had one of the most pure hearts he ever knew. "I know Eros is watching you from above" He commented "A bond that great is not left - ever" he added with a soft voice. "That feeling is one I do wish no other to feel - even in alternate packs." he agreed.

A small laugh escaped him as Nova commented on the changes the wolf had in a short amount of time. "Err- yes, it has been a lot. I am very thankful to be in the position that I am" he commented with a head dip to Nova. He knew her promoting him was a big deal, one that he treasured. He took his role in the pack extremely serious. "Everything just happened so fast. I haven't really had a chance to process everything to be honest" he admitted. And he did have a LOT to process, the loss of pack members, gaining a mate and pups basically overnight was a lot for him to take in. He took a deep breath, "Other than that, things have been okay - still processing things and adjusting" he looked around the camp "If anyone hasn't told you - you're doing an excellent job as Luna"

Saying “I do the exact same thing when I miss any of my lost family or our lost friends.” He then glanced to the pup, as Azure looked at him. He tilted his head, wondering what the pup had been thinking in that moment.

The blue-gray pup and white pup nodded at the other wolf. He said “she didn’t…she didn’t get taken by the avalanche. I don’t know where she went, or why…so it feels like she abandoned me. I know she’d never do that…but I went to sleep next to her and woke up and she was nowhere. Then that nice she wolf and that male found me. What were their names? Hers is Gauge, I think she told me.” He then fell silent to listen to River again, and nodded as he said “That’s… that’s really good advice.” He then looked at Akiro. He honestly wondered if the male wolf could adopt him, but…Akiro was still only two. Shaking his head, he looked at him a moment longer. He then looked to the she wolf again, and said “Thank you for giving me that advice, River.”

Letting out a small sigh with the relieved feeling they had gotten. He lowered his gaze for a moment. He took a breath, then lifted his head back up.
He then looked at her again, and nodded at her. A bit nervous as she said he should take point…but he knew exactly what they could do. They could gather up flowers if they did this in the spring or summer. They didn’t have to do the exact same time every year. He said “If we do try doing this every year, we should switch seasons. Like, we could have a memorial in winter one year. Then like summer or fall the next year. Just something like that, we could switch seasons, or maybe just once in awhile.

“Oh, um…also, yes, I could take point. Do you want to do the first memorial straight away, like within the next couple days? Or should we wait a bit?” he asked her. Tilting his head as he waited to hear what she had to say on that front.

The feel of Blaze's gentle embrace brought her a glimpse of peace. She offered a small smile in return, hoping she didn't bring down his aura. Hearing someone else speak of Eros was refreshing, someone else understood. Even if it wasn't a full understanding. "thank you for the kind words, Blaze." she nodded. Forever grateful to have a friend like him at her side. Wanting to lighten the mood nova softly chuckled. "If you hadn't already taken the position of lead fighter, I would have made you my Beta." she laughed. It was a compliment on his personality. She hoped that the Beta would be remotely close to her as he was.

With the conversation shifting over to Blaze's recent accomplishments, Nova listened to him. She agreed that it was a lot to process in three shirt months, but he seemed to be doing well with it all. "A leader, a mate, a father. It's got a nice ring to it." she playfully teased and gently nudged his shoulder. Her mood start to shift, now that they were discussing seemingly happier topics. "You got this, just take it a day at a time" she commented, perking up her ears. At his last comment she smiled and dipped her head out of respect. "Thanks, I'm doing my best here." she spoke.

She looked around them to see that Gauge was still waiting for Blaze. "Erm , maybe we can chat later after the warriors return from duty. I want to discuss something important with you. It's about Starlight." she mentioned. While she did get a quick glance at Destiny, it was only a matter of time before the two officialy met. Now that Liberty was out of the way, Nova and Destiny would have to align another agreement at some point. The cream colored wolf huffed before nodding towards her den where they could meet later.

She sat in the herbs storage den, her eyes scanning the piles of herbs. There were plenty of herbs now, but even still they were missing many, some of the herbs could not be found at this time and some could be in places that were now covered in snow, likely ruined. She was not much help on the avalanche chaos either as those who got run over by it, there was nothing to do for them. Her ears perked to the couching "You're couching? Take some juniper berries, it may help a bit...honey could be better, but there is not any of that at the moment" she said rather emotionless voice. She was always that way, but before the avalanche, she had some hope in life, as she had some dreams and someone she had a crush on, but like always it was taken away from her.

Yawning the small young newly made fighter got out of the fighter's den, her eyes looking around as she saw her sister following after the white hunter. She managed to train a little bit with Louie the fighter, but sadly he passed away in the avalanche, but his teachings didn't go to waste as she kept her training even after his death. Stretching her legs a bit she walked over to the pretty female hunter she had a little crush on for a short while but was afraid that saying it could change their kind of good relationship and friendship. Flicking her tail a bit she walked to her "Good morning Kiyu, did you sleep well?" she asked at her.

She was old enough to become a full hunter soon, so she wanted to work hard to learn the basics at least so she could be somehow useful to the pack when her time as a hunter came. She looked over to the white hunter there which could be very good to follow at on this time of year, as his pelt was white as the snow. She looked over to the lead hunter there for a moment then back at the hunter "Could I come with you to a hunt?" she asked him. She shook her head a little disappointed "I see, I could only be on a way...I understand...that could be nice, but I also think you will be so tired after the hunt that you would want to do any hunts with me?" she said to him with a sight.

The white hunter picked some rabbit's leg bone which was still on the camp. He had had some toothache and wondered if a tooth was loose and falling out by shaking something hard. He was aware of the other hunters talking with other wolves and no hunting patrols were still left out. His ears perked to Yomi as he saw her following him around "Hmm, I don't think Cypher lets you join us, we need to catch something much bigger than rabbits now, so I am sorry...maybe I can take you out later on to try to catch some rabbits?" he answered to her.

He sat near the camp entrance or what they could use as the entrance. His eyes looked at his brother then to the River with the fighter and one of the pups. He was not happy about the small amount of hunters they had at the moment as it made the hunting very hard. He wondered if the fighters could learn to hunt too. They were able to do two jobs, especially when there didn't happen that much of anything where the fighters could be needed, but he was afraid to take that up to the Luna.

He walked around the clearing, his eyes wandering around anyone at the moment, but he didn't focus on looking at them for long. He noticed the grumpy look on his older brother near the entrance, knowing that he was likely very stressed at the moment. Shaking his head a bit he looked over to Luna there talking with the lead fighter 'The pack is sure changing a lot...' he thought to himself, still feeling unrealistic that for all wolves they did lose their alpha.

The Hunter didn’t hesitate to approach Labrador as soon as he was in his eyeshot. Kane quickly caught up next to him.
“Hey Lab” he greeted him, the tone in his voice lacking the energy he once had.
“Barely got a chance to talk to you, with recent events… I-I missed you.” He explained.
Though Kane didn’t know the fallen as closely as others in the pack, the pain still showed in the little hunters eyes. He hadn’t had the chance to think everything over, no time to process. Hunting and running was what distracted him all this time.
To finally be able to talk to Labrador, the only one who he trusts fully and take the opportunity to tell him how he felt.
