Jewels smiled to the young filly, her excitement reminding her much of her own younger sibling. She looked over towards Star Seeker, deciding to ignore her own embarrassment. "I'm Emerald Jewel by the way, I hope I'm not bothering you..." She trailed off a moment, feeling shy for some reason.

Breeze smiled politely, "Of course! Honey's a great sweetener." The pegasus went back over to the small kitchen, mixing together his tea blends with the hot water, adding a dollop of honey to make the drink much sweeter. For his own cup, he also added some lemon juice and lemon slices. He already had some cucumber sandwiches made and ready, in which he plated up two snack sized sandwiches. With his wing, he brough over a tray holding both drinks and food. He set down the white tea in front of Willow, keeping the honey lemon tea for himself. "So, what brings you to Manehattan? You live around here?" He took a sip of his tea, with the tray rested under his other wing.

The black pointed stallion, shook his shorter black mane. his shorter black tail flicked, and black wings remained folded. The golden eyed stallion looked to his son, then looked around. He decided to head for the candy shop, though was sure it wasn’t quite open yet. Still, he headed for the shop. He glanced to his son, whom had decided to follow after him. He watched his son, and the two soon arrived to the candy shop. They sat down on the street outside, to wait for Fluffy Bubble to open her shop.

The darker marked gray male shook out his black mane. His black tail flicked, then purple eyes glanced to his father after a moment. The other looked to him then began to walk. He followed the other, and soon they had arrived to the candy shop and waited outside it.

The silly and sweet but stubborn and strong willed gray mare was at her boutique. The beautiful shop had pastel colored walls, A counter or such, and dresses of course. The outside had one long glass window, and the door and sign. There was also an overhang above said door. The outside was colored dark red, and the overhang was dark green. The darker legged and marked female, also with red markings, watched her employees. A silver bay pony, a Unicorn, another pony, and a Pegasus. Rune Stone and Roan were at the counter thing. Water Splash checked the dresses with Jade eyes. The purple maned and tailed one smiled as she watched. She then turned purple eyes to the back, heading back there as she was making a new dress. She needed to get back to work.

She then watched him get the tea and sandwiches and bring them over. She took a deep sniff of appreciation. Eating one of the sandwiches then looking at him. “Oh, no…well…we do live here now. My grandpa and aunt and dad and I actually came from elsewhere, but we heard about this place. We decided to come out here to live. My dad and aunt are actually a prince and princess, because their mother was a princess or queen. Her and grandpa didn’t stay together. It doesn’t always work out, but… he’s happy, my grandpa is.”

The orangish brownish hooved and green accessoried (on her front legs) one looked around. The freckled, yellow mare let out a breath. Brownish eyes didn't see anyone else around right now, and she shook her head. The shades-of-green maned one sighed again. She'd started a communal garden, since she had plants at her own place. No one seemed quite interested yet, so she just kept coming here by herself.[/quote]

Star Seeker's attention turned more fully to the mare -- Emerald Jewel -- then, floating a notebook and pen out of a bag. The note that was quickly written and hovered over to her was penned extremely neatly despite the speed.

And really I should be thanking you for distracting her for a few minutes.


"Hey!" Dista immediately protested, catching sight of the note, before immediately covering her mouth with her hooves in a poor attempt to muffle her voice. She huffed, not actually annoyed but certainly pretending to be, as she shook her head and sent wisps of her mane falling into her eyes. "Most ponies call me Dista! And my dad's 'Star'."

the young unicorn stretched before turning over in her bed, quite unaware of the current time...that was until there was a frantic knock at the door. her eyes flew open but quickly turned her head to avoid the intensity of the sun that cut through her blinds. woo. calliope blinked a couple of times, her eyes wandering the cleanliness of her room...until there was another knock at her door and her sister's muffled voice, "calliope dear- are you awake? we're running a little late!"

late? no, that couldn't be right...they were... her eyes grew wide as she rolled out of bed and hurridly ran around her room, not caring with how loud she was being. after all, if their father was even up - he wouldn't care- but it was more than likely that he was asleep...which again, wouldn't matter since Merlin was a bit of a heavy sleeper...and they were on the ground floor while he slept on the second floor. so there should be no worry about making a ruckus. with that being said, calliope went through a mental checklist, making sure what she wanted to do got done before eventually leaving her room, where she saw her sister getting their bags ready.

as soon as she was finished, both sisters grabbed their bags and booked it down the trail, saying their farewells to their father, even though he wasn't present.

yes he was sleeping, and yes, it was because he stayed up the whole night, reading and looking at the stars mostly merlin had a brief moment where he woke up once he heard some sort of commotion downstairs. he turned to his other side, burrowing his head into his pillows and falling back into a slumber, mumbling something under his breath as he heard his daughters bid their farewells for the day. maybe he'll sneak into town later today.

violet stretched out her wings as she excitedly unpacked her final box- granted its been maybe a week or two since she moved here- she just heavily procrastinated on it until now. she moved around her apartment, carefully and delicately as not to disturb her downstairs neighbor. she gently placed down the various trinkets on the empty shelves, humming softly as she started to plan out her day. maybe she should go job hunting today? maybe...there was little that she could do. she wasn't interested in fashion enough to pursue it...same with baking or any culinary careers. entertainment might be different...if she wasn't plagued with stage fright....maybe the library could be her best shot. it was dark enough to where the light wouldn't be too much on her eyes, and if she worked long enough, she could enjoy nightly strolls. violet twist furrowed her brows in thought, adjusting a trinket on the shelf before turning back to the box, now laying empty. she cleaned the area around it before breaking the box down and putting it near the door as a reminder to take care of it the next time she went out. right now, she turned and moved around her apartment, straightening a few things out before getting ready for the day.

The golden male with the white medium length spiky/messy mane shook his head. His white tail flicked back and forth gentle. It was also medium length, spiky/messy. Brownish hooves dug at the ground, hooves that resembled those of this sister. Speaking of his sister, he went to the garden she’d started. He found her there, of course, she loved plants so much. He made a small sound to let her know he was there. He blinked brownish eyes, and lifted one leg with a band that had a raindrop on it.

The blue male shook out his medium length messy looking mane. He flicked his medium length tail, both mane and tail having pink or pinkish-purple and yellow streaks. Said mane went down into his face. He sighed…and shook the darker blue man again. He pawed at the ground, before stopping. He lifted each darkened leg one at a time, then stretched his wings. His wings had the same darkened color, but to the tips of the feathers. He heard his mother…and rolled pinkish- purple or mauve eyes.

It was the Opening day of her magic shop and to say she didnt sleep last night was an understatement. She put some last minuet items out on the shelves as she went over and turned the closed sign to open and turned on the lights above the door. Now she was ready for business.

Vesper yawned and rubbed their head as they woke up. What weird dreams. Maybe she could find somepony to talk to about their weird dreams.

"Cherry! Come down here and help me set this up so we can open!" Berry yelled up the stairs in the back of the shop where he and his sister Cherry Ice lived in a small apartment. No answer. He sighed loudly as he set out more toppings for the icecream and pulled out cleaned scoops as he put them in the icecreams. "Cherry!" he yelled again but nothing came out of it.

Little did Berry know but Cherry had left early this morning to go shopping when the stores opened instead of waiting around for her bother to be up to open the shop. It wasnt too long before she came across a very cute boutique and ducked inside looking at all the goodies inside.

the sister made their way to the city, ducking and weaving throughout the crowd, apologizing to anypony they might have bumped into. as they were traversing through town, a new shop caught their eye- it was a magic shop. opening day? well they might have to check it out on their way back from work- or whenever they took a break sometime during the day. they both made a mental note to return- after all, it was good to support local businesses.

eventually they arrived to their little duel shop- with calliope fumbling around with the keys, before eventually unlocking the door to their store. the young unicorn opened the door and kept it open for her sister before continuing to linger outside, setting up the tables before slinking back into the shop. she reached over and flipped the closed sign to open before retreating into her kitchen, making a little something for her and her sister for a quick breakfast- before getting a start in her work, quickly starting on some cupcake batter.

when they arrived at their shop, she quickly retreated upstairs to her shop, thanking her sister as she had brought a little something for her to quell her hunger until lunch. maybe that is when they should drop buy that little magic shop? something to think about- and maybe mention to their father when they return home. surely he'd be interested in something like that?...probably, probably not.

she smiled a little before opening up the balcony doors to let a little air and sun in this gloomy room. she decided to step out to refresh her brain- clearing the cobwebs out before returning back to her work area- moving across the floor to collect the cobwebs that were gathering in the corners of her shop- and that was when her little spider friend crawled out of her bag and out in the open- more than likely to spin another web. spider weaver greeted milton with a wave- and it waved back before disappearing somewhere in the room. she giggled a little before humming a tune as she got her loom set up for the day.

after she got ready- with her big brimmed sunhat and specalized glasses, she took a step out of her apartment, making sure to close the door behind her and locking it. she made it halfway down the hall before she spun around and galloped back to her apartment, triple-checking to make sure it was locked. after giving it one last turn, she turned back and headed towards the stairs, satisfied that her wares were kept safe.

after leaving the building, she trotted down the streets, looking at each vendor before pausing at an icecream shop. maybe she should get some on her way back! but for now her mind was more focused on the library. and besides, it didn't look open...violet twitched nervously before deciding to slowly walk around the block- maybe by the time she wrapped around this side it should be open- right? she grinned and squeaked, agreeing with her own idea.

she continued to take a couple of steps...before stopping and whipping her head around as she heard the door open and somepony calling out for her- that they were indeed open. Her green eyes grew and sparkled from behind her glasses as she spun around and trotted back to the earth pony, smiling from ear to ear- her wings unfurled and rose in excitement, "oooh, okay I was wondering, I was going to wrap around the block just to make sure," she squeaked, looking away as she folded her wings back to her side, looking away, now suddenly avoiding eye contact with the earth pony. "I hope that I am not imposing too much this early. or.." she trailed off. maybe she was on time? she looked at the earth pony for a moment, searching for an answer.
