I love writing either on my bed or outside with the bunnies. Its so nice to hear the birds and watch the bunnies playing. Sometimes I even get inspiration for new stories that way
!!! i grew up w chickens, i know they're not bunnies, but i used to go out and sit by the chicken coop on the trampoline to write !! having the little piece of nature always calmed my mine, and no one really ever went out there so it was a little getaway from the chaotic house just to sit and write my stories. i can definitely relate to this <333

I am continuously drawn to writing fantasy worlds! It's just too much fun to get to write your own rules for the way things work, to come up with original lore and magic systems and such. The majority of my writing ends up being in the realm of fantasy, with a bit of sci-fi here and there and almost no modern day fiction. (I think the only piece of modern fic that I have written and been happy with was a short story about a highschool witch who tried to summon the dead to help her with a history paper. 💀 So still not really into realism.)
Edit to add: Plus with fantasy you get dragons! And sword fights! And cloaks!!! And --- you get the idea.
LOLLL weve chatted about this on countless accounts but my writing also usually leans towards fiction. im not the best at history-building for my created worlds, so it'll oftentimes be just a spin on the normal world (like w your kayla/seb story, basically post-apocalyptic if youd call it that). ive always loved fantasy but it's always leaned more towards dragonless fantasy ? out of all the fantasy stories/short stories ive written, out of all the knights/kingdom-centered settings ive written in, i have not once written about a dragon. feels a little absurd bc i love READING about them, but

My favorite setting has to be with my laptop, all cozy in bed or on the couch with a hot beverage. TBH though since I'm done with uni, the laptop hasn't seen much use lately. Just my boring old desk and PC (or if I'm on the go and have a thought or come up with a good scene, I'll dictate it to notes on my phone so I don't forget). I should really pull the laptop out again soon! For the comfy vibes! ☕
we are the oppposite LOLLL i havent even touched my pc since i got my laptop. i like being able to bring my laptop into the kitchen if i need to do dishes/laundry room if i need to sit idlly and wait for laundry to dry/outside to sit w the dogs/bed to be cozy cozy :> i vote that you pull out the laptop again. once you get past the disappointment of NOT having a second monitor lolll its the perfect medium of writing imo

Ty! And
right? I just love the pirate theme (even if they aren't explicitly pirates) but struggle to find books that fall into that category o(TヘTo) so might as well be the one to write them! I don't mind researching for my books but my fear is not being able to find the right/reliable answers TwT I really wish I knew someone who knew a thing or two about boats to ask specific questions!
That's so cool that you're already so far into the second book of your series! and a mood about wanting to write the next before finishing the current one lol
its the 'not being able to find the right/reliable answers' for me.
i want a pirate ship junky to be able to read my story and know everything thats happening without making fun of my writing just bc im using the technical term instead of the slang for it😭 and ty for the kind words ! >:)

what's your favorite setting to write about, and why?
I love writing in a wide variety of settings, including fantasy, medieval, pirate fantasy, sci-fi, highschool, big cities, steampunk, really anything I can try my hand at!
bonus: what's your favorite setting to write IN?
I usually write at my desk with my laptop but I would love to write outside more <3 My dream is to travel and take my writing on the road and around the world!
you have such a wide pallette, im jealous LOL, i usually lean more on fantasy/medieval. well, thats like all i've written LOL. ive done weird fantastical spins on modern day (like a modern world but with vampires and werewolves), but i always end up leaning back on fantastical settings even if they're on modern earth i always find a way for it to not be a main city or continent lol, or something has happened to that city/continent to make it geographically fantastical.
and yeuppp, at my desk w my laptop is my go-to. i dont have a desk outside, i have a lawn chair, but the dogs jump all over me anytime i go outside. so if i DO go outside it's just sitting on the tailgate of my car on the other side of the fence so the dogs cant bother me loll
if i ever were to be an accomplished author i'd also just travel the world w my writing. it feels so impossible w how difficult the publishing industry is, and if you don't self-publish then the publisher/distributors take such a large portion of the revenue that you're just left with table scraps 😭 so if i ever do finish a solid series, i'll do my best to self-publish

I like doing more historical things. History is very interesting to me! I love drawing historical outfits more than modern outfits. Sadly, my comic doesn't actually count as historical fiction. I think for it to be classified as such it needs to be about an real time in history. My comic is a made up world but has 1800s vibes.

I normally always wrote on my laptop in google docs. When I am laying in bed about to sleep and think of things to write; I write on my phone in google docs. I love google docs.
eeee i wish i knew enough about the workings of history to do a historical fiction. that is DEFINITELY my struggle-point with world-building, is that i can never find a solid method of twisting history to align w my fantasy world 😭 it's a continuous struggle in all of my stories.
and ooooo google docs 😭😭😭 i use microsoft word, but only bc thats what i grew up on. the only taste i have of google docs is looking at *stormcloud*'s story, my pookie bud's story, and then a few assignments in highschool that wouldnt allow me to use microsoft word. i just feel like word is so much easier to format, and way quicker to load big pieces 😭 and i also have word on my phone !! so it's all shared on my OneDrive and i can write wherever if i decide to add notes on my phone in the middle of the night w/o getting out of bed lol
imma dm you on discord cuz im curious the medium you use for your comic >:) and quicker reply through discord, but feel free to comment about it here too for others to see!!
