I've heard that they are extremely Terrier light in terms of prey drive. A bit harder to motivate but very smart, and usually never described as biddable by fanciers. Independent and lower-medium drive.
I would be interested for breed preservation reasons, but I was also told that SSA is common and I'm not introducing that to my two boys and two girls that get along just fine.

I have a Xolo, so the "terrier light" and "not very biddable" are normal for me lol! I would love to meet some Skyes!

You might like them then! So then the biggest difference would be the coat maintenance haha.

Been having terrible pet luck recently. One of my boys somehow injured his back last week and is going to have x-rays this week, and the other has somehow picked up kennel cough.
He's in good spirits but BOY it's hard listening to that honking cough on such an old man 😭 (he turned 15 last week)

on weekends every 2 hours, but a lot of times they dont go potty they just go on walkies :)

weekdays when im busy at work, theres a 6 hour stretch they dont go at all after my lunch break, but even on weekdays i walk them at 6am before work, then 12pm on lunch, then me or my partner walks them at 6pm, then i walk them again at 8pm and again around 11pm before bed!

when they were puppies id have to be more strict about EVERY 2 HOURS, but as theyve grown up they can hold their bladder longer and dont pee/poop in the house. (the only reason i really do every 2 and not 4 hours right now is bc we still have an 8month old girl who isnt that great at holding her bladder and we're trying to get her into a routine, but its been about 3 weeks since shes had an accident in the house)

its really up to how long your dawg can hold it, in my opinion! id go for at least 3-4 times a day, though! (im not a professional by any means)

      I can’t actually post pictures because I don’t really have any anywhere…but I had a standard poodle.

We now have a goldendoodle and toy fox terrier (if you go in my Avatars and Animals section of my gallery, you can find pictures of Peanut that I drew, as well as other animals)

Update on this girlie. We have finished showing for the year, given a new addition will be here in a few weeks or less. Shaved her down, might have gotten too attached to the hair but in a year of limited UKC showing we put a champion title on her among a few others. She also is one qualifying run away from her URO2 title. We started some agility foundations but probably won't be competing in that until we have more time to focus on cues and the equipment. Beyond that, she's about to be 2 so we'll continue health testing and OFAs and go from there. Ignore my crocs, I forgot to change shoes and running around the ring in flats on concrete was killing my feet.

What a pretty girl! I'm guessing she is a parti since you are showing her in UKC?
Just curious since I've never seen markings like those on a poodle!
JK, not me refreshing my dogbook and realizing yes, I have seen those markings before, as phantom lol. I've only seen young puppies so didn't realize it could lighten up so much!

Congrats on the CH, I was also so happy to be done with my girl's UKC CH, and don't plan on pursuing her GR CH until she is at least 3-4 years old...maybe 5 lol. I prefer to spend money on our sports haha.

Speaking of, after about 6 months of agility classes, I finally felt like Fable and I am ready to try out agility! Our ultimate goal is UKI, but since I haven't practiced a lot of teeter, I registered us for CPE. I have an inkling she might get too distracted... but crossing fingers and toes she'll get a few Qs.
