as best as my research could tell me, it seems to have originated on one of the cs discords. kinda hard to find any real info since it seems to be part of the joke that nobody knows how it started.

Back when I was on dragoncave, a long time ago something carrot related became a meme. Individual dragon descriptions had to be user approved and someone had come across a daydream with "He eats a potato and sometimes a carrot", or something to that extent. It was floating around for years. There was also carrot day for April first. maybe carrots are just inherently kind of funny?

It started on the Stars discord, actually! User Mythz posted a carrot from their drafts (which they were cleaning out) that got deleted. I Like Bees then drew a carrot in memoriam and it just caught on from there
