How did you come up with your username?

Bc of my cat pumpkin! She’s a ginger cat and is technically a stray but we let her in the house sometimes bc we feel bad for her, I actually prefer dogs at the moment but cats r cute too! I love how cats r(sometimes) as smart as a pumpkin seed (heh no pun intended) but yeah not a very deep username lol

Cryptid = my go-to username for practically everything since I was 12, I first learned about cryptids while playing the cryptid island from Poptropica. I have used "Cryptid" in conjunction with other names as part of a username since I decided I wanted to use that as my name due to a popular artist on DeviantArt at the time that made a lot of art I liked. Ever since then, I have consistently been called Cryptid, and then Cryptid the Fool once I chose the other part of my name.

The Fool = the tarot card, not meaning "stupid person" but instead meaning "the everyday person/everyman", in other words "the protagonist", so basically it is "Cryptid, the Protagonist". This is directly taken from the Persona series as inspiration, especially Persona 5, which I played the year of its release in the US and it was my first Persona/SMT game. It is still my favorite video game to this date besides Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion. The Fool is the arcana that represents the protagonist in Persona 5, which is why I picked it as my username.

ETA: I like all lowercase usernames and I usually put it all together except when I use spaces to separate the words in Discord. Usually websites have limits to spaces so this is what I can fit it all in and it just transferred to Chicken Smoothie this way. Underscores just seem as the second-best solution to me, not sure why. ^^
