Sorry if this has been asked here before. I know the floral parent for the 2nd Gen drafts is from this year but when is the other parent from?

{ hmm, this last one I just can't pin down the style for. kind of an old fashioned sepia, is that a specific shade style? but whatever the case I just love the gorgeous color contrast. absolutely wonderful job with this litter again, thank you Concept ♡

The otters were my favorites from September!! Even though they don’t really seem to go together and I’m still wondering what the theme is because the artist never said and now the month is over :(

Oh sorry heheheh I meant to do this the other day
I can't say it was toooo much of a theme but they're based off different aesthetics/cores (so genz/ gen alpha coded)

Whups now that they have grown I can reveal what most of you know: the Rats are based on comic style shading techniques XD

- Sketch before inking, not a shading style, I just thought it would be fun XD
- Crosshatch
- Cel Shading
- Airbrush (or Blended, as iHolli mentioned)
- Halftone
- This one I can't find the common-use name for. I've seen it called flat style, but the part here that I wanted to bring attention to was how the lines are colored inside any part that has color, while the outsides remain dark. It's a favorite style for coloring for me aesthetically and I love seeing it in comics as well! Hard to show this without color, so we have our singular brown rat haha

Final thoughts & favorite outcomes for September!

Yayy the staff litter! I was a little disappointed at the color scheme but then I realized that they will be green-centric (hopefully) and that's my favorite color so now I'm super excited. I can't wait to see what all the staff has in store <3

It was very hard to choose a favorite (it might even change since they're still growing). I was right about loving the green color scheme. I'm super happy we got a lot of plant designs but I'm also impressed at how many unexpected designs the staff were able to come up with. Amazing job this year guys! It was my first staff litter since 2018 and it's been so great.

Oooh the highlights look really cool. The yellow tail and mane have me interested.

Pet's name: Océane
I am very curious as to if theres an inspiration behind these guys. To me they kind of reminded me of mirrors with different lights reflecting off them. Also reminds be of a stormy day with breaks in the clouds.

Zebra stripes? Tropical fish?? Very vibrant for sure, they have my attention!

Pet's name: Pankratios
These kitties were fun! I loved the surprise blue outcome. And the effect of the colors outlining the stripes is really cool.

Kind of looks like leaves blowing in the wind? It could be a really nice Autumn litter!

This litter was very beautiful. I love the purple scheme and the little markings are so perfect. One of my favorites from the month! MissionFlight's butterfly wolves have been some of my favorites this year!

Yep I thought the same as everyone else: 2016 sketch horses! Im excited to see what is done with the ink.

I am no where close to being an artist so it was really interesting to learn about some of these shading techniques! This litter is pretty satisfying to look at lol.

I really love that draft horse. Im excited to see when the flowers show up! Also i really like the art work for the parents lol.

They turned out so cute! The Sunflower is my state flower and also my mom's favorite flower so I always have a soft spot for them.

Ahhh I'm so excited for these! Although last time I was pleasantly surprised by the dragons, I'm hoping for chickens because it's been a while and I love chickens. I love the berries(?) and the Autumn color scheme.

Potpourri would have never been something I thought of to base animals on, but these were executed so well. I love chickens and these are PERFECT!

Yippeee otters! I love floral/vine patterns so I'm looking forward to watching them grow.

These have a bit of an odd inspiration!
I went to a conference for work back in August and was quite tickled that the chairs and carpets in every room and hall had a matching, hatchy pattern in this pretty blue/gray/yellow, lol
