It was almost like a quiet promise. A hopeless romantic. She couldn't help but wear her heart on her paws. Nedra refused to speak their name, only whispering it during the darkest moments hidden within the night. No matter how much pushing the other cats gave her, she never swayed. They remained unknown to the world swirling around them.
Another voyage into the darkness that was night. Her steps were muffled in the rustling of the leaves above her. Nobody knew and she savored that in the moment. It was easier to keep things silent, so people couldn't ruin it for her. Something rippled within the darkness and her tail swayed with the sensation.
There they stood.
Not a usual cat, something was different about them, something sheltered within the wind that not a soul could distinguish. That was when the other cat stepped out and revealed themselves to her. One of the gods. It was an unspoken rule for cats to never mate with one of the gods, an unspoken forbidden rule. Although, many didn't know which gods followed their every move, lurking within the Kingdom itself.
The god of wind. That was who Nedra had fallen head over paws for. She had always been cautious when having a crush on others, always keeping them a secret. She had learned the hard way the one time she had decided to confess to her friends. Her friends had quickly turned on her and Nedra could feel the moment her heart dropped in disappointment.
How could they have done something like that?
She was a hopeless romantic, but now she had to hide how quickly she fell. Nedra promised herself to never fall head over paws again. Yet, she had failed as this god had blown into her life on accident, always comforting, keeping the wind by her side on the toughest of days.
She wouldn’t give this up.
Maybe it was worth breaking the rule.

Cat Name: Alesi
Gender: Female
Rank: Scout
Clan: Fallen Rose KingdomAge: 5 years
Kitty trying out for: B#382K1Prompt: 189 words
Alesi knew the forest as though it were the back of her hand, she was able to travel with her eyes closed, letting her paws lead her slowly through the brush. If she had to pick one thing to bring with her to a stranded island would be a dragons scale. Perhaps her choice appeared random and strange to any of the cats outside her trail of thought, but Alesi knew all the things dragon scales could be used for.
Dragon scales, when catching the light properly, can start fires and also insulate heat. If she is able to get a fire going quickly and easily she can build a shelter. Due to the dragon scales ability to catch the light she can also signal for help by reflecting the light back up at the sky.
It was actually rather strange how much thought Alesi had put into this idea, almost as though she were planning something that would make this information valuable.
She simply shook her head anytime this idea was brought up to her, brushing off the idea as though it were simply and nothing worth debating.

Cat Name: Wyn
Gender: Female
Rank: Gatherer
Clan: Fallen Rose KingdomAge: 2 years
Kitty trying out for: #2609JPrompt: 216 words
Through her few years of life, Wyn had began to look up to Demita. The nursery attendant held a special place in her heart. Wyn had witnessed all of Demita's kindnesses todays the younglings and the strange cat that had just arrived in the Kingdom. Demita had welcomed them with open arms, never even questioning them.
During all of her struggles with being debated, Wyn had begun to lean on Demita for help. Demita had welcomed her with open arms and coaxed her into relaxing for once, finally taking a break after so many years of pushing herself way beyond her limits. She had constructed a bed of flowers for the younger cat, ones to lure her into a rest that would heal all of her aches.
Wyn hadn't realized then just how much she had grown close to Demita, as if Demita had simply taken her under her own wing and sheltered her through the toughest of storms and the roughest of waters. It was a turbulent water that threatened to drag her under whenever things got too overwhelming. Yet, Demita was always there to soothe her soul back into a world of peace and ease.
She didn't know who else she could ever look up to. Demita had always done so much for her.
