A bump of support for this idea.

In real life, when someone is collecting all the generation one of my little pony, they don't usually go after the mail orders or international ponies. Since those are very hard to get. Only the very lucky few have them.

Let us have complete collections of digital pixel pets. Excluding "Special Releases."
I support hoarding! It's just so much fun and it's good for those of us who identify as neurodiverse!

I definitely support! while I understand some things are harder to get, there's enough old, rare pets from earlier years to create a challenge. if store pets don't count towards the complete status in the archive, I don't think the special releases should either. if it could be toggled with the store pets (kind of like how the item archive is where you can select only store items or only free items), I'd feel better about it.

Nicnova wrote:I support this. If store pets aren't included, URs should be treated the same since they are very special pets that not everyone can get. You only get one day, one chance, and then if you don't get one you have to trade the equivalent of many many USDs to get one.

A toggle function would also be nice, since sometimes I want to see if I'm missing store pets from a year without clicking on every single year. Similarly, I can't know if I'm actually missing pets from a certain year with a quick glance of "show completed months" because the URs would mark every year as incomplete. So then I have to click on every year to double check, and it's just kind of a hassle.

this this this this this this THIS THIS THIS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

LostInTheEcho wrote:There is only one reason I’d want the URs removed from counting for a full collection, and that is to be able to see if I have all (actually obtainable) pets of a year.

I have all pets between 2015-2021, but to see that I have to click each year separately to see that, ”yes, it’s only the URs missing”. It’s inconvenient, nothing else. If not removing them all together just make a different coloured marking that means ’have all pets in a year except URs’ and then I’d be happy.

As for those asking what the difference is between URs and regular omgsr pets: the difference is that they are comparably worth about the same as other pets of that year. Current URs are vastly more valuable than all other pets of the same year.
Even if I tried to trade a full 2022 collection for one 2022 UR I’d not be able to, I wouldn’t even be close.

Also, why should it be as hard to finish a 2022 collection as a collection from over 10 years ago? If you play consistently, participate in events, and do trades and swaps for one year you should be able to achieve a full collection for that year and not to be thrown an artificial and impossible (with your year of play) to surmount obstacle in the form of two or more URs

THIS!

I'd like several posts in this thread were it possible, and I wish it was possible! I'd also quote that HUGE post from bark and Hollypaws but I don't want to stretch my reply too much. Just know in my heart I LOVE that response and I am liking it and supporting everything said there as well,

if store pets aren't included, then URs definitely shouldn't be

I've been wanting this forever! I'd love to toggle URs on and off. It's literally impossible for every user to get a UR and thus a complete collection, but it is realistic for a person to collect every pet released in the year and I think it's way more fair to new players. Please CS make the toggle a reality!

PLEASE! i fully agree! store pets are considerably more accessible these days than UR pets (assuming you're active when they're available for purchase, but even then there are much more of them in trade circulation even after they've left the store), so the fact that they're the only archive category that doesn't count toward your complete collection is hooey and makes 0 sense

stores and URs shouldn't count toward your complete collection, but for completionists who already have a bunch of URs/stores, there could be a special "achievement" visible in the archive similar to when you've collected every cat for a certain year as an example
