i've finally gotten a post up for morningstar - his next post will be calling for a clan meeting. i haven't gotten anything written for curlew or shrike, but theyre both open for tags if anyone wants to tag them!

@spiritstar ; medicine cat apprentices are usually trained until they're about 13-18 moons old! i'm sure sometimes even longer, but a lot of times they remain an apprentice for quite some time due to their ranking being a 'closed' rank ** + medical, rather than an 'open' rank like warriors, if that makes sense!

of course, the true length of medicine cat apprentice training period is entirely up to @cas, but thats typically the duration i've seen in the books without medicine cat deaths speeding the training process ^-^

Personality| He seems to hate everyone, instead his cold facade is to keep them safe. He seems withdrawn, and vicious, brutal...and is very sweet. He has his own moral code, and has a hard time helping Tom's. He is incredibly smart and talented, incredibly friendly after you get past his shell. Straightforward and honest, loyal. Incredibly trustworthy, he likes to outdo others as well as himself, is protective and shy, funny and hardworking as well as the first volunteer. The first to fight, and to find a solution without violence, that being said he has a certain "predisposition " for violence. He follows his own form of the Warrior Code, and very little can change his mind once it is made up.

History : His family was killed when he was a single moon old, some rogues took him away. He was born into a Clan - StoneClan- it was small, just starting out.. and betrayed from within. He was raised as a hire-pelt, a murder, a mercinary. Through it all, he remembers the warm rasp that was his mother, Arrowflight's, voice as she told him and his six siblings many incredible things and stories. He knows his sister, Wind, is dead, and knows nothing of his brother Sun. He was called "FalseOmen" when all of his kin died, considered a curse to the cats as a moon old kit he was cast out. His father, RoughLimb, was the traitor - once a medicine cat for FernClan (his mother a deputy for StoneClan)...

Extra: Through it all he has the Heart of a Warrior, and he left that place, traveling... when certain things.... manifested. It made them hate him, even if he was right every time. At a young age he learned how to heal with herbs and the "knife" (Even Healers Have To Cut), and often has... rudimentary, trial, healings.

-- This tom loves kits and she-cats - to tend them, respects elders and healers. But if you have rank? Watch out. Titles mean nothing, only what you have done that he has seen. "Respect is earned."


- When he lets you in... well, he lets you in. You will be the one he seeks out, and no matter if you do wrong he is at your side, behind you. He is incredibly skilled at fighting, killing, has even come to enjoy the former. He is flirty, lets put it out there - some say its because he has never had someone, ... but he had, they died, others say it is another facade to hide behind, and they would be right. He is heartbroken and lonely. A real sweethearft, funny, charming, and open... not a very good hunter though, but proficient.

Likes|Kits, she-cats, swimming, open, easy flirting, he likes to eat rabbits best, and enjoys sunning. He also likes to be in trees, it is rare when he walks on the ground.

Dislikes|Rank - lording, aggression for no reason, (although he has been guilty of it) liars, bullies, eating squirrels and crow-food, not being believed and of course... crowds.

Siblings|Wind, and Sun - but he doesn't know if the latter is dead or not, as the former is. The other four kits in his litter died at birth, and recieved no names.

Orientation: .... he is Omni. (Which is why he flirts with everyone, all the time, literally, reguardless of if they are in a relationship (though he is respectful about it, if they ask him too.. he will stop.)

** He wants kits one day, probably....Once he had a mate and four kits, they died during kitting, and his mate was murdered, her name was Birds' Shadow, but went by Bird.

Other| Fallen is visited by StarClan on a rather basis

Looks: Fallen looks dead. His pelt is remnicent of a star-cats' pelt, it is many shades of gray in swirls and fletching and layers, when its wet he shines, when it is dry he looks like an earth-bound spirit. He has brilliant blue eyes that when angry turn gray


-- He earned the name Fallen because he basically lives in trees, hunts there, fights by falling from them, etc. He has extra toes, tuffed ears, and a super long tail. This cat has blue eyes that shade to gray (almost white), he seems on the small side, aside from his height and length, as he is underweight, but he is incredibly muscled and fast. Very graceful, and long legged, usually has his claws out, even when not fighting. His scent is incredibly luring, and his voice is like a thunder storm mixed with chocolate covered gravel. Soft spoken, and slightly formal.

-- Fallen wishes to be Deputy, but is better as a Lead / Senior Warrior. He is a great leader. He will always step in to help, be it healing, hunting or fighting. Furthermore, he is often came to for advise. He knows how to heal with herbs.

** Think of him like WhiteStorm from the series

- His most prized possession is an old red bandana his dead mate gave him. He uses it to cover kits, to haul things, etc

Oddities; Fallen has no scent of his own, this is explained under "gender " Mainly he identifies as a male.

Looks: She is a calico pelted cat, green eyes, medium long hair. She has no claws in her front paws
Her thick coat is unusually fluffy and soft with somewhat curled but mostly just messy looking whiskers to match. This leaves her with a somewhat unkempt look no matter how recently she's groomed. Her round head, moderately squished muzzle, and stocky (short!!) build give her the appearance of being even chubbier than she already is due to being born to kittypets. She's also extremely small! She is ONLY apprentice sized, so often cats think she is a "paw". Also! She often carries her tail over her back like a squirrel.

History: She was a kittypet, turned loner, who wasn't treated well by the people, so she escaped (her mother is with her and will die) She's wandering the forest... She met FallenRains once, in the two-leg place and at the time didn't follow him to the forest. Her stubbornness cost her her mate and her claws and all but one kit. Later, she found a newborn foxkit - and having just given birth to her one living kit - adopted it.

Personality: She can be a bit of a worry wart over some things but she attempts to keep that, and pretty much all of her more negative emotions, bottled up. She tries to remain positive for the sake of others as best but all this bottling of emotion may run the risk of her suddenly breaking down over some small, insignificant thing. She can be a bit of a chatterbox, especially when she's feeling particularly nervous or uneasy, and she dislikes being alone. She's benevolent and gentle by nature and will generally try to see the good in others and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Some Strengths: nurturing and caring for others, keeping moral up (or at least trying to), fishing

Some Weaknesses: she has lower than average battle skill and a strong dislike of violence that may have her refusing to fight depending on circumstances. She has no front claws.

Her scent is one of honey and warm bread and moss.

He is one moon old

Moth is actually a fox-kit! Only when he was found MossBlossom thought he was a abandoned kitten.

Still that lovely red coated baby, who will eventually have grey eyes.

He will be kind, and watchful- tending to speak his mind bluntly, but is loyal to a fault. He takes after FallenRains and enjoys challenges a bit too much.

She is one moon old

She was born all black... but... by the time she is an apprentice she will be showing white marks (she has vitiligo!) Her eyes are a pale green to yellow in color. She is long limbed and lythe. Very thin but slender and elegant. Her pelt is short, except at her elbows/knees where it's tufts. She and Moth are raised together, she has a fierce love for her brother.

She is tenacious and proud and outspoken, often more than willing (Like FallenRains) to get her claws bloody. She excellent (or will) at fighting, tending to be confrontational.

Looks: She is a black cat with golden markings (rosettes) and beautiful heterochromia eyes of amber and gold. She has three feet/ legs, missing one of her front legs at the shoulder.

History: Honeypaw doesnt remember her past. She was found as a kit by a warrior tomcat who later adopted her. What she doesnt know is that she was stolen from her family by a hawk and then dropped into clan territory when it decided the three moon old kit was too much trouble as she had fought the talons around her with teeth and claws. When dropped she was dropped on her head, and often forgets things, this will likely cause her to have a longer apprenticeship than her fellows. She's been through two mentors - the first sent her to kill adders - and when she returned alive that mentor was punished and she was given a new one.

Personality: she's a serious cat, who takes every task as a mission with a thirst to prove herself. She's not the best fighter around, but she's a fast runner and swimmer and hunter. She's a bit forgetful, but loves others even when it's apparent that they are using her. Eager to please.

History: She was born in Roseclan after her parents had fled the previous clans. Her mother, Maplefeather was a cheetahclan warrior, and her father, Windstrike, a warrior from Lionclan. They had feared the fate of their kits had they stayed with the clans, and Flightshade's mother had made the long trek to Roseclan all while heavily expecting kits. Unfortunately, the journey had taken a toll on Maplefeather and she passed away shortly after Flightshade was born- Flightshade being the only kit to survive. Windstrike did his best to raise his daughter, even becoming her mentor before sadly getting killed by coyote while they were on a patrol. This event is what led to Flightshade earning her warrior name at 11 moons old due to both her bravery during the attack and the fact that she was likely only a couple of moons from being promoted anyways. She does walk with a slight limp in her left front shoulder, as well as having occasional neck pains from the attack.

History: Born to two kittypets, Reedpaw was released into the wild along with his siblings when he was six moons old. He was found by a roseclan patrol and they took him in as an apprentice. He has been with the clan for three moons now and is working hard to prove himself to the clan that was kind enough to take him in.

History: Sparrowpaw was found as a newborn kit in the forest, her mother having passed away while giving birth. She was so tiny and barely clinging to life when she was found, having been deprived of milk for so long before she was rescued. A queen took her in and raised her, but Sparrowpaw spent a lot if time in the medicine den as a sickly kit. Her growth was stunted, and she could not do a lot of physical activity without collapsing into a coughing fit. While she had taken quite an interest to medicine, and enjoyed observing the med cats as they worked, she was still determined to become a warrior. Though the medicine cats advised against it, due to her health, she insisted on becoming a normal apprentice, and eventually Morningstar caved and when she turned six moons old she was given a warrior mentor. However, very quickly it was obvious she would never be able to keep up with the apprentices her age. This was devastating to Sparrowpaw, but Freshbreath and Crowwhisper saw that she could still be useful in the medicine den and suggested she be their apprentice.

Personality; She is definitely the most outspoken of the medicine cats, tending to speak before thinking a lot of the time. She is still struggling with the fact that she is not cut out to be a warrior, but has made the decision that if she couldn't prove herself to be a great warrior then she would prove herself as a great medicine cat.
