Hobbies and intersting activities

Hello! I was just curious what everyone’s favorite hobby or interesting thing they like to do. Could also be things you collect, places you go, and any activities you enjoy!

For me it’s beekeeping and tending to my hives. I have 7 total and am looking at getting an 8th. I live in a secluded area and my nest boxes are way back in the field/ apple tree orchard. I say put a slash because my orchard is tiny and struggling.

I get all kinds of products from my bees. Honey, wax, and honey combs. I can make soaps, sweet treats, and lotions with hive products. They are also great for the environment around and provide much needed pollination in my gardens and yard. I love my bees and I will always be one for save the bees. We won’t last without them.

It was a struggle at first getting started. My queens kept dying, my hives wouldn’t survive winters, or I did have instances of wildlife getting into them. I have a system figured out now but I am still learning new things every week to improve my hives.

Beekeeping sounds interesting! Great hobby! I wish I had something unique, but I mostly play games, watch movies and spend time with my family and friends. We often organize various thematic parties using evite. Also, I really enjoy cycling.

I never thought of Beekeeping could be a good hobby!.. One of my hobby is to travel, I travel around 10 countries as of now, I'm thinking to travel in Indonesia around November. I read about an article from here https://gowithguide.com/blog/indonesia- ... -know-5383 about Mount Batur and I heard so much about it. Does anybody been into Indonesia before?

Oh I want to try beekeeping in the future! I'd love to have some and to be able to get honey from them. I only have a very small amount of wild bees living close to my garden and over the years I've tried planting more flowers and plants that will bloom during different times of the year in order to benefit the insects who needs them. I'm not quite at the point where I want to with it, but I've gotten further and has a longer span of flowers being in bloom throughout the season. (with this said, yes I am very interested in gardening as well as farming and growing my own vegetables)


As for my personal favourite hobby that I like to do ... I honestly am too varied. I love creating in various different ways and tend to enjoy trying new medias or forms of creative work whenever I can. Most recently I attended a course in the basic techniques of black smithy - which was so much fun and I most certainly will keep doing that in the future.

I also am very much into renovation/restoration, especially in terms of using older methods and materials that has been around for the past hundred years. I love trying them and figuring out how they work. One of the better things with them are that many of them are much better for the environment and comes from sustainable sources, as well as people has had time to try them for centuries and one can be certain they will work with old buildings without casing any harm to said building. Before I bought my cottage back in 2019 I honestly knew little to nothing about such things, and the amount I have managed to learn simply by reading and watching others are beyond what I ever thought I would be able to do.

Beekeeping really does sounds interesting. i've watched videos about it and looks quite challenging.

My hobby is gardening. I just started so I've had mixed results. This year I planted a number of things but the pumpkin completely took over. my neighbors stole two so I only got one pumpkin out of it but heck if I'm not proud of that one pumpkin.
