what's your preferred craft[s]? Needlefelting!
how long have you been doing your fibrecrafts? It's hard to say because I stopped for a couple years or so before going back to it. I've a bag filled with dozens upon dozens of all the little animals and things I've created though, if that says anything. Haha.
what is/are your current project[s]? My favorite things to make are these little horses, so that's pretty much all I've been focusing on lately. Here's one of my last ones:

Thank you <3
I very first started with just a cheap kit from Amazon and moved on from there. So I'd recommend looking into something like that if you're interested because there are a lot of inexpensive ones that give you everything you need to get started. The basics are actually really surprisingly easy to learn and then the rest just comes with practice.
And nope, no patterns. Aside from the kits I mentioned that give you directions to make something specific and some beginner tutorials on YouTube, it's not really something that you need patterns for. If I want to replicate something I've already created just keeping it nearby to use for comparison is all I need.

Got the feels for finding creative threads this morning, so I'm coming along in here too (:
what's your preferred craft[s]?
Honestly I'm the type of person who loves trying new stuff no matter what it involves as long as I can make use of my creativity. Of course this leads to me not having enough time to do everything at once.
I stared off with sewing when I was a kid. I think I was around six when I first took a liking to it - not yet deeming it as an interest though, mostly did it to pass time. I think it was around 2008 that I started deeming sewing as an interest of mine and I started making simple spider plushies for Halloween. Then around 2010 I wanted to sew my own Halloween costume, but realized how hard it was to make clothing. So I reverted back to plushies. Though one of said plushies that I started with in late 2010 was never finished and is to date not yet finished (more on that matter later).
Around 2011 I got into cosplay, but I didn't try sewing my own costume until 2012 and fell in love with sewing even more because I realized how much one could learn. Though my cosplay life was short lived and around 2015 I stopped.
I've tried both knitting, embroidery, crochet and needlefelting (the most recent one actually), I used to really like knitting and embroidery but was never any good at it.
how long have you been doing your fibrecrafts?
Well, as I mentioned above, since I was six years old. I've always been very creative.
what is/are your current project[s]?
Oh boy. Lots of them on hold, kinda?
Again, as mentioned above, I reverted back to plushie making in late 2010. And I'm not even joking when I say I tried reaching for the sky. I was so inspired and amazed by other plushie makers and wanted to do as great plushies they did. I forgot one needed to know how to do it though. Thus I fell upon my own too great ambitions and hopes. I spent a month studying the looks Spyro has in the games "A new beginning" and "The eternal night", drawing him and spinning the camera around him in game. Because I loved that little purple dragon so much back then. I still do. I went from having made pattern of at the most five pieces for my previous plushies, to making a pattern for Spyro of (if I don't remember it all wrong) 49 pieces. And it went so well early on in the making of him. I failed a little that his butt became too large, but it was easily fixed. But when I started with the wings my sewing machine started acting up and then I put the wrong pieces together. As I tried undoing it I noticed how the golden silk couldn't take it (and that exact shade wasn't sold anymore and I only bought just the amount I needed as I couldn't afford more).
So I left him after crying for a week how I failed.
Until last spring when I picked all the pieces up (I never threw him away luckily, as he was my greatest triumf and greatest sorrow in my journey or learning how to sew. I picked up where I left off, put his body together at long last. And now I'm trying to get his wings right. The only difference is that I no longer use a sewing machine as I don't have one right now (mine are stuck underneath moving boxes and I have no space for them yet). I've been working with him on and off since and due to me learning so much more since 2011 when I was working the most with him; I think I will be able to save the wing I messed up way back when.
So once again he's my main project even though I've lots of them lying about; some neglected because of similar failures.
I need to learn to embrace the fact that failing is just a part in learning, but it's so sad when one's poured heart and soul into a project and it turns out badly.
