I have always loved lotr/the hobbit and felt a strong connection to middle-earth since I was really young. I tend to hyperfixate on things and they often come and go but Tolkien’s works have always came back! So, I felt like making a post here since I am planning on trying to read the books (I have tried before but life gets in the way and I tend to forget)! :D

I'm totally the same! Middle-earth just feels like such a big part of my life, and has been for a long time. Thanks for posting!! c:

Mmm…one thing.
If the relationships are canon they aren’t called ships. Ships are what you call pairings you want to be real but aren’t in the actual games or movies.
Anyway!
I did research and found out Galadriel’s daughter is Celebrian (I may have known that once? Idk)
I love her name.
I love her and Elrond together.
I also love their sons and daughter.
I love Aragorn with Arwen.

Hm, I've never seen that to be the case. "ship" is just the shortened form of "relationship" and is usually attached with a type like "crack ship" or "love-hate ship". Then, if you're working in an AU or a separation of the work from the author then technically the "canon ship" is not canon in this perspective.
This reminds me about the fact that Tolkien had originally written LOTR so that Aragorn and Éowyn would end up together, but then changed his mind and kept Aragorn and Arwen as a pair.
