Where have all the good men gone,
and where are all the gods?
Where's the streetwise hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Isnt there a white knight...
Upon a firey steed?
Late at night, I toss
And I turn
And I dream of what
I need...
(Ahhhhhhhh Ahhhhhh)
I need a hero!
I'm holding out for a hero til'
The end of the night
He's gotta be strong,
And he's gotta be fast.
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero!
Im holding out for a hero til'
The morning light
He's gotta be sure,
and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life!
Larger than life...
....
Somewhere after midnight
Im my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
there's someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder
and rising with the heat
It's gonna take a superman to
Sweep me off my feet!
(Ahhhhhhh Ahhhhhh)
....
Up where the mountains meet heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the seaa
I could swear there's someone somewhere Watching me
through the wind and the chill
And the rain and the storm
And the flood
Can feel his approach,
Like a fire in my blood
(Like a fire in my blood x4)
.....
.....
.....
I need a hero!
Im holding out for a hero til'
The morning light
He's gotta be sure,
And its gotta been soon
And he's gotta be larger than life!
(Ahhhhh--Herroooo---Ahhh)
He's gotta be strong,
And he's gotta be fast.
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero!
(I need a hero-- Bonnie Tyler (I actually got the lyrics from Shrek lol) I typed this all myself from a youtube vid, so yeah this took a while. )
Story?
[size=85]PART ONE
I awaken and see im being carried through the air by a figure that looks like just a cloud or a shadow.
Im shouting, "Help! Help!" But apparently its no use. The figure lets go of me, and I plunge down onto the cement. Suddenly, a soft cushion and a ROOF on a house appear. I land smack-dab on the mat and look into the sky, watching the figure fly away.
Then the roof craters and I fall into a pile of debris, then the world turns and spins like in The Wizard of Oz. Everything is crumbling apart. I look at my hand and I myself start to crumble.
I wake up panting, noticing it was just a dream. I turn to my clock and spin it over, staring at the time of '2:24 AM'. I plump back into my cushiony pillow and stare at the ceiling.
----
The next night I wake up at 1:00 AM, noticing another dream has occured. This time it was different; I woke up chained to a wall, then i was Murdered.
Wonderful.
PART TWO
I have thought the killer dreams have stopped, but 5 more occur.
I decide to go to a specialist, to find some answers.
---
Once I have driven up to the Dream Specialist office, I hop into the large sky-scraper and climb into a room onto a soft chair.
The specialist scribbles my name on her paper, but stops at the E after the J.
"Jennifer Marsel, is it?" She asks, not lifting her eyes from her clipboard.
"Yes.. Jen. Call me Jen." I notify her.
"Alright Jennifer," She says.
"Jen." I repeat.
"Alright, Jen," She then repeats. "What is happening in your dreams? Are they scary, death-defying, creepy, uncertain...." She asks.
"..Their, well, scary, and killer." I tell her, shifting in my seat. Ive never talked to anyone about this. She scribbles my sentence on her paper.
"Alright. How old are you, Jen?" The lady asks.
I reply with, "Im 24." She smiles at me and scribbles more.
"Okay Jen, this is normal, alot of people go through with this. Just remember; sometimes your killer dreams will occur, and you wont be able to return to real life. Sometimes, like people say, if you fall off a cliff in your dreams you might be passed in real life." She assures me, even though its not very assuring.
"Okay, so how can I get these dreams to stop?" I ask her doubtfully.
"Well Jen, there is no way to get rid of them." She replies.
"Really?"
"Yes. Positive. I would personally, although, to try and sleep with a television on to interesting and non-scary television shows. That might help a little, because you might fall asleep to those and think about those instead of your killer visions. Here are some tips: No scary movies, do not do anything scary or deathly. Nothing scary or deathly." She hands me a movie.
"Here, watch some.. Carebears or something, my little pony, whatever, Winnie the Pooh, soemthing like that."
I smile. "Thank you for your help," I say, grabbing my purse and getting up. I open the door and slide out. "Ill follow your tips."
