your most niche/"weird" \interests

I collect my little ponies but I'm talking pre-2010s/fim so the chunkier horsey looking toys you might;ve had as a kid but i have shelves full of the things

Rollercoasters. Not just "I think rollercoasters are cool and fun" but genuinely the different lingo for different types of rollercoasters, track types, seat types, wood vs steel coasters, different types of restraints, terms for experiences on the rollercoaster (such as "air time" or "stapling"). The funny thing is, last time I rode a rollercoaster I genuinely had a panic attack. Which sort of acted as a catalyst for this whole interest of mine. I was so scared of them that I was determined to learn as much as I could to make that fear disappear.

Maybe not super niche since they have 1 million subscribers but Jelle's Marble Runs on YouTube <3 They make marble racing videos that have a pretty good production value, do multiple series that focus on a variety of things (speed, endurance, obstacles, strength, underwater, in the sand, etc.), and even come with a little bit of lore sometimes. I just think it's really fun to cheer on my favorite teams like they're real athletes; it's like my version of football or the Olympics or whatever other sports people get hyped about

Older ticket redemption games and claw machines. Ticket redemption games are the types of games that you often see at arcades nowadays, and claw machines are self-explanatory. Though there are some more modern games I think are neat, for the most part, I only care for the ones from the late 90's to early 2010's. They've a certain kind of charm to them.

I like a lot of niche anime. One of my favorites is Baccano!
I am a big fan of lockets and music boxes. I really like hair lockets. I think 1800s mourning jewelry is very interesting. I like the victorian era a lot. I know so many random facts about it.

I collect Care Bears, which have come back into popularity recently, but I think my MOST niche interest is Aikatsu!

Aikatsu is a kids idol anime and arcade game. It's super adorable and I genuinely love it, I collect Aikatsu cards and other various Aikatsu related items

photos from 1830’s-1920’s. i have at least 100 photos ranging in between those times. i absolutely love them, i love seeing the personalities and differences in human features.

i collect lapels and postcards. especially when traveling.
and i like to propagate plants and animal husbandry/exotic pet care.

dendrology. i got into geneology for a little bit but that has passed.
i like to repair items- any and all. and working on cars mechanically.

not sure if those are terribly niche or "weird" but that's all i can think of.

I have a general intrest in history, but the niche part is i LOVE historical fashion history!!! I love forcing my coworkers to listen to me yap about the smear campaigns against corsets and the misinformation abour flappers. captive audiences LOVE my lectures.... I assume

My other niche is Historical Food, rations, and the effect on a culture and society because of said food!!! Like did you know the invention of cheaper modern refrigeration lead to the popularization of all those aspic/jello foods in the 60s?? My plans for this week are to actually make mock apple pie (crackers to sub for apples! Surprisingly good!) And maybie finally make hard tack to take to work as a bit. This year i actually plan to get more into canning and preserves for fall, and do more local historical food research for my area!
