I was introduced to it by an internet friend on a different site. Unfortunately we haven't been in touch for a long time and I don't know if they're still around on CS.

I don't have a favorite lineart, but I love Malk pets in general!

For all staff, what gives you inspiration for all the staff litters that come out in September?
My Art Shop! My Toyhouse! Scrappies! If I've won something in a closed species, raffle, or otherwise and haven't posted with a thank you or something please message me, I probably haven't seen that I've won it. Thanks!

I saw a CS pet in someone’s signature on the Dragon Cave forums in 2011! My favorite lineart is bunnies.

It starts with the palette, but I often include something from my life. I’ve done my own characters, stuffed animals, my tattoos, one based on my 10 year wedding anniversary, etc. Some are more random though and just because I thought they looked cool!

I usually use what sticks in my mind over the summer, or when I look at the colors. It could be something minor, like a betta fish's long fins swirling, or just the basis of the whole design, like Solathraí (the bull) being rooted in the longhorn cattle that I saw when I visited Texas one year.
Sometimes the actual struggle is trying to get the idea to actually work with the lineart and my own skill level. I've had to switch ideas a few times over the years because things were not agreeing.

Someone contacted me on Furry Paws asking if I was someone they knew from Chicken Smoothie. I've never heard of it before then, but decided to search it up and saw it was a cute pet site so I decided to sign up!
My favourite lineart is definitely the lion with the western dragon in close second c:

My inspiration really depends on the palette! I kind of just take the colours and think of something I could do with them. I then try to correlate it with something I'm interested in (ex. nature, animals, etc) and go from there!

Might be a bit of an unusual question but how do you sort your pets? By date, rarity, species, theme etc.?

If you have hoards, what number do you typically aim for? Does it depend on the pet? Do you name your hoards?

Is there a collection you're working on? Like all pets of a species or event? Have you finished any collections?

I sort my regular pets by PPS, then species (sort of, I combine some like all equines), and I have a few special groups for themed collections and my favorites. Then I have lots of groups for my hoards.

I have hoards of all sizes, including the usual one page/20 pet mini hoards, some that are hoarded to specific numbers like a full set of all the triple numbers (like 111, 222, etc.) though I did just disband one of them so I might figure out something else soon. I then have unlimited hoards, including several huge ones (specifically the baby bunnies, I have over 48,000). All my larger hoards have names, but the mini hoards don't.

The most important collection to me is PPS pets, I am only missing one (the UR PPS dragon). I also have a complete bunny collection, regular (not sitting) cats collection, and lion collection. I am working on dragons (all linearts) but pretty casually, and then there are a few pets I don't have that I would like to own, but they're not really achievable right now.

I mostly hoard these days, but I have a couple collections which are sorted by species.
This is how I sort my groups:

  • Favorite hoards - these are my unlimited PPS hoards, sorted by species
  • Favorites - assorted groups of my favorite pets, and ones I just think are neat
  • PPS hoards - my limited PPS hoards
  • Hoards - my limited non-PPS hoards
  • Completed hoards - my completed both PPS and non-PPS hoards
  • Collections - sorted by species, both completed and not completed
  • Trades
I name all of my hoards, and the number I aim for tends to depend on the pet. My limited hoards range anywhere from 20 to the thousands, and my unlimited hoards are, of course, unlimited! I used to hoard all PPS pets on the site, but years ago I decided to disband that hoard and focus on the species and individual outcomes that I enjoy the most.

Collection-wise, I don't collect much. I tend to passively collect one species at a time, currently I am working on Malk cats. My completed collections include Eastern Dragons, Lions, Otters, Sitting Cats, PPS Deer, and Store Pets (my only non-species collection).

For all staff, I have a question (and I hope it isn’t too personal) but how did you come up with your username?

For artists, I want to get into digital art but I don’t know what drawer tablet I should go with…
I don’t want to spend TOO much money, but I also don’t want to get something that will die on me after a few short months. I would love to hear your suggestions, if possible!

Desmond is one of my favorite characters from the Assassin's Creed series. It just happened to be available lol.

I have a Wacom and would recommend it. There are a few cheaper options - the One is good for beginners (it's ~$40), but I use the Wacom Intuos Small (~$60). It's lasted me about a year and a half so far, and has served me well. My previous Wacom was a pen + touch, and it was fantastic... But it got old enough that the driver stopped updating and my computer pitched a fit over that.
