Varius Pemton | 52 | Male | Asura

Appearance: Varius has short, dark navy blue hair with some streaks of grey that is brushed back smoothly, and light blue eyes. He stands at 6'0'', has an athletic build, and holds himself with a semi-formal, though not rigid, posture. He has a medium-olive skin tone, and a slightly rounded face shape, laugh lines visible. He walks with a slight limp, for which he uses a very fancy, elegant-looking cane. He usually wears something formal - black formal trousers, a white shirt and a deep blue waistcoat.

Personality: Varius is a warm, outgoing person. It will perhaps be surprising to others that he is actually quite energetic and outgoing - although he is still fairly limited given his slight limp, but even so he is quite fast to move. He is proud, adoring the praise and credit he frequently receives because of his efforts and creating the Battledome. He is very much a stickler for the rules, especially his own rules that he created, and is very harsh on those that cheat or try to bypass the rules. He has a love for battling, but is unable to do so often nowadays - and he only accepts challenges from those that have been crowned a Battledome Champion. Still, he is polite and welcoming to all trainers at the Battledome, and encourages those that may be feeling down about losing to keep going.

Bio: Varius has always lived on Asura. The island was not known at all when he was younger, and very rarely had visitors. He always wanted for Asura to have a name for itself, to have something that it's famous for and draw in trainers from all around the world. The concept of the Battledome was developed when he was 18. He'd spend hours drawing diagrams for how it would look, the rules and ideas that the Battledome would involve, the tournaments... everything he could think of. His family was very wealthy, so money to build it was no issue - it was just getting the permission from the authority of Asura to build it, but after presenting his idea, and how good it would be for Asura, permission was granted. Construction began for the Battledome when Varius was 20, and also happened at the same time as the shopping plaza - an idea that was thought up by a close friend of Varius', who'd also had the same goal of making Asura famous. After construction, it took a few years for the tournaments and interest to really pick up, but by the time Varius was 25, it had grown and developed into the popular, tournament destination it is today. Varius still runs the Battledome as the chairman of it, and attends every Battledome Champion award ceremony.

Ashton Delaire | 22 | Male | Hoenn

Appearance: Ashton's hair is a deep, forest green colour that's somewhat short, and worn in a sort of fluffy, slightly messy 'pompadour' style. His eyes are an earthy, olive green colour, and are somewhat almond shaped. He stand at 5'11'', with a somewhat muscular build, and he holds himself with a somewhat rigid posture. He has a fairly triangular face shape, a slightly wider, sharp jawline and well placed cheekbones, and a light-medium olive skin tone.
Ashton usually wears an olive green coloured button-up casual shirt with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows, and green-beige three-quarter length trousers. He also wears plain, deep grey comfortable tennis shoes, and a mustard yellow neckerchief.

Personality: Ashton is a fairly quiet, somewhat withdrawn person. He prefers to travel alone, only with his Pokémon, and isn't fond of anyone who is overly energetic. He's somewhat unfriendly or otherwise indifferent towards others, which often deters those that would try and be his friend. Someone who is patient enough might get to see his warmer, more open side, but it'll be quite a while before getting to that point with him. This sort of attitude could make one think that he's harsh towards his Pokémon, but the truth is the exact opposite. If he is alone with his Pokémon, then his warmer, friendlier side comes out for sure, showing that he is incredibly caring and gentle towards them. He quickly closes up again once another person is around, though. Even when he is his unfriendly self, though, it is clear that his Pokémon have a lot of love for him.

Bio: Ashton grew up in Slateport City, his mother having a stall in the market and his father an engineer, helping to build and repair ferries, submarines and other water crafts that are in the shipyard. He'd often spend time out in the city, and since most people knew his parents, they knew Ashton as well. He particularly liked the museum, and was often found there, even when he knew every description for every object off by heart. Eventually, at 15, he decided to take the gym challenge in Hoenn, and travelled to Littleroot to receive his first Pokémon from Professor Birch - a Treeko. From there, his journey began, and he caught and raised most of the rest of his team - he just couldn't figure out what he wanted for his sixth. He ended up completing the gym challenge with just five Pokémon, even defeating the Elite Four, falling short only at the Champion, for what was a very narrow match. Ashton remained in Hoenn for a couple of years, training his Pokémon and trying to figure out what he wanted to do next. Eventually, he went to Galar, where he ended up staying for a couple of years, and in this time, he also defeated the gyms and Elite Four there, and finally found the sixth Pokémon for his team - a Galarian Zigzagoon, which he raised into an Obstagoon. After this, he returned to Hoenn. And now... he's going to Asura, to take on the Battledome Challenge.

Juliet Rydell | 21 | Female | Alola

Appearance: Juliet has black hair in twists, with vibrant purple and blue added in, and they reach her waist - often they're tied loosely back, but sometimes she has them loose, and she has a red carnation hairpin. Her eyes are dark purple, often framed with a light purple cat-eye eyeliner. She stands at 5'7'', and has a lithe, somewhat athletic build, and she holds herself with a fairly relaxed, though not slouchy, posture. Juliet has a dark skin tone, and a heart-shaped face - a sharp jawline and high cheekbones. She wears a purple knee length dress that has long flowy sleeves and a blue large corset belt, and knee-high boots with a slight heel.

Personality: Juliet is a friendly, social young woman, that loves being part of a conversation. She likes to know what's going on, and will talk to near anyone... unless she has a reason to dislike someone. Regardless, she'll try and remain civil, but her expression will most certainly give away any disdain that she has for someone. Juliet is also somewhat vain, she knows that she is attractive, and very much dislikes getting her hands dirty in any way - which she knows would be annoying to some people, but she doesn't care, because it also makes others underestimate her, and that's when she proves she is a capable and strong trainer. She is well disciplined and hardworking when it comes to training her Pokémon, but also takes the time to let loose and relax, which has strengthened the mutual respect between herself and her Pokémon.

Bio: Born and raised in Heahea City, Alola, Juliet has experienced little more than the sun, sand and tourists. She was never really sure what she wanted to do as she grew up, first entertaining the idea of being a Pokémon performer or co-ordinator - something that she could have been capable of doing - but it would mean leaving Alola, which she didn't really want to do. At 14, she chose a Popplio as her starter, and decided to take on the Alolan trial challenge, deciding that it would be a good way to travel Alola while raising and bonding with a team of Pokémon. So, that's how it was - she soon caught most of the other members of her team, save for Shelgon (whom she'd get as a Bagon much later on). From then on, Juliet decided to be a proper Pokémon trainer, wanting to travel to other regions to take on their gym challenges - though was less interested in the Elite Four's. Now she's looking to take on a different kind of challenge at the Battledome, hoping she'll become one of the Battledome Champions.

Personality:
A soft-spoken man, Azazel looks a lot more sullen and serious than he actually is. His face just kind of does that and due to not generally being one to seek out human interaction on his own some may assume that he doesn't want it at all. On the contrary however, he's actually quite open to it -- he's just pretty bad at remembering to make and hold on to connections, a side effect of moving around a lot as a child and never making lasting friendships. If he's not quick to open up to others who try to engage with him its very firmly rooted in confusion and uncertainty in his own worth and abilities. The only bonds he's ever absolutely certain in are those with his own pokemon. Intelligence, and being able to pivot strategies on the fly under pressure, are his main strength and he's never been one to rely only on brute force.

Bio:
Actually born in Unova, both of Azazel's parents were researchers and moved around... a lot: their main focus being the effects humans have on the pokemon in their environments. Never staying in place for more than a year, and rarely lasting six months as they cycled between multiple locations throughout most of his early childhood, made it increasingly difficult for him to connect with others his age. A problem his parents didn't realize until he was nearing his teens. By then much of the damage to their son's social life had been done but nonetheless his father took a break from research -- leaving it to his mother -- and the two of them settled down finally in Paldea, specifically in Mesagoza where he enrolled in the academy alongside a young maschiff that he had caught mere days before his first classes.
They both thrived there, Azazel and the now-named Ophois quickly developing a powerful bond and proving themselves more than capable battlers. In time, alongside a small, slow-growing team, he even clawed his way up to holding the champion title alongside a few of his classmates. But despite this he was aimless. Until a chance encounter with a shedinja -- abandoned by its trainer in favor of its less fragile twin ninjask. Taking in this Pokemon sparked an interest in ghost types that after graduating sent him traveling all over the world, collecting stories and rumors about ghost types and investigating their origins. Why are shedinja believed to be capable of sucking out the souls of those that look into the crack in their back? If banette are believed to be motivated only by hatred, how are they still just as capable as any other pokemon to be a close friend and companion? Why are unovan and galarian yamask considered subclasses of the same species if one was once a tablet and one once a human? All questions he seeks to answer one day.
The spark of battles never really left Azazel, however, and at times he still finds himself craving those afternoons at the academy, training alongside classmates. Something that eventually drove him to Asura, to the Battledome. He doesn't really expect to become a champion -- but that doesn't mean he's not going to try while he's driven to be here.
That shedinja that kickstarted his fascination with ghost pokemon, whom he calls Tuoni, was often one of his close companions during his travels, but it is not a battler even now and thus has not found a place on his current team.

Appearance:
Giselle is very pretty, with strawberry blonde hair and brown eyes. Her eyes are framed by medium length lashes, and she has nice lips. Her hair is to her mid back, and curly. She parts it instead of having bangs, and she wears hats sometimes. Her favorites are a pink and white cap or her galaxy bucket hat. She also has a variety of clothes, mostly pinks and reds but some blues and purples. She has t shirts, shorts, pants, socks, and shoes. She has these really pretty fashion boots, and fingerless gloves. Her skin is peachy creamy. She has freckles on her arms and legs, because her strawberry blonde hair is pretty red. It’s still blonde, but you can tell there’s so much red in it. It’ll likely be pure red by the time she’s in her thirties or forties.

Personality:
Giselle is a sweetheart through and through. She’s soft and gentle as well as loyal to those who become her friends. She’s kind as well as caring. She has a good heart and a good nature to her. However, she’s stubborn, strong willed, loud at times and doesn’t always listen to others. She’s cold seeming if angered, and becomes aloof if anyone irritated her enough. She gets overwhelmed as well, and that is never good for anyone. She becomes withdrawn if upset bad or enough or when overwhelmed.

Bio:
Giselle was born twenty two years ago, to Amos and May. She has five other siblings, including twins, two older than her and the rest younger. The older two are Cora and Ellis. The younger three are Irre, Kori and Katie, and they adore their older siblings. She was raised with love and care, given an education and all. She got her Beartic when she was ten or twelve. She went out into the world, and got more Pokémon. Her current team consists of the Beartic and her five other favorites, and she’s here to take on the Battledome.

Appearance:
Azriel is beautiful for a boy, and cute, but with a bit of handsome. It’s overtaken by the cuteness and beauty though. He’s slender and shorter, at five foot four inches. He won’t tell his weight…but he’s somewhere between 160 and 180 pounds probably. He has golden-tan skin, and nice lips and nails. His lashes are longer, and his eyes are a one brown and one dark gray. His hair is wavy only at the ends, and reaches beyond his shoulders. He parts it instead of having bangs, and it’s black looking but also purple. It’s like a purple black color. It usually looks black, but one can see purple in it. He wears a variety of clothes, mostly blues and purples. He has shorts, pants, socks, kneesocks/ stockings, fingerless gloves, fashion boots, t shirts, crop tops and such.

Personality:
Azriel is a good and just kind of person. He’s soft and sweet, silly but sincere as anyone could ever hope to be. He’s gentle and good natured. He’s friendly, loyal, loving, and quite intelligent. However, he’s wild and can get riled up at times. He’s stubborn, strong willed, shy, and sensitive at times. He’s headshy as well as nervous in his nature. He can get fired up, which may be seen as good or bad, he’s loud at times, he likes to wander which some could see as bad, and he’s icy seeming if you make him really mad.

Bio:
Remonn was born twenty six years ago in Kanto, but when he was eight his family moved to Galar. They stayed there awhile, until he was sixteen. However, then something came up for his father. They moved again, this time to Paldea, which is where they’ve been the longest. Therefore, that’s why he considers it his region, his home, since they’ve been there ten years. Anyhow, he’s now taking a vacation. He’s come to back here to Galar/the island to do some sightseeing, and see the battledome but not fight in it.

𝗔𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗞𝗔𝗜 . is a sly, wily, and amoral young man. He's not particularly cruel or nefarious, though he does come off as strangely indifferent towards a lot of things most people would find objectionable - including stealing, which is a rather unsightly habit of his. He is street smart and clever beyond his years, and not given to trusting others easily. He considers himself a pretty good judge of character, and tends to make up his mind about someone right away. People seldom convince him to change these assumptions much once they've formed. Overall, Adrian is a surprisingly laid-back individual, though he always seems to know more than he lets on. He withholds information to gain information, playing his cards very close to his chest. He is cunning and quick-thinking, as well as very even-tempered. Few things ever agitate him and you'll rarely see him angry - though you'll rarely see any other emotions from him either. Although, if you earn Adrian's loyalty, he'll stick by your side no matter what. Though generally he doesn't seem to care about much, he does care about his pokemon and his allies, he just doesn't express it very openly. Quiet, cunning, and withheld, Adrian always seems to have an answer to every situation, even if it isn't always the most noble or ethical one available.

𝗠𝗢𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗡 . is a spirited young trainer from Galar, with a heart of gold and a fierce sense of determination. While she may initially seem shy, Moire will quickly blossom into a friendly and energetic girl as you converse with her. Though quite the accomplished trainer for her young age, Moire is very humble and seldom brings up her achievements. While a bit naive at times, Moire has a strong code of honor and always does what she feels is the right thing. She is always willing to lend a hand to people or pokemon in need and has a strong sense of sportsmanship when it comes to battles and competitions. Despite her friendly nature, Moire is very competitive, and always tries her hardest to win - if she loses, at least she tried her hardest! You can always find her 'giving 110%'. Some may be taken aback by this competitive nature, as she can get a little overzealous at times. Moire is also a determined young girl, at times stubborn to a fault and hating to admit when she is wrong. She has a big personality hidden beneath a modest exterior, defined by her fighting spirit and the will to never give up, no matter what.

Appearance: Chadwick has black hair slicked back into a pompadour and hazel coloured eyes. He stands at 6'3'' and has a muscular build. He has slightly tanned skin, and a chiseled chin. He walks with his head held high and looks down on others when talking to them.

Personality: Chadwick is an arrogant person who views himself as being much better than everyone else in every possible way. He knows when to put on a nice facade, but most of the time he will push others into battling with him, even if they are unprepared. He normally wears a full navy suit with a navy tie.

Bio: Chadwick has been to many regions, although not of his own accord (although he will tell others tall tales about him traveling the world). His parents moved around a lot because of work, so he's collected various Pokemon from around the world. Since he was always moving, he never actually made any friends, so he instead chose to focus on beating everyone around him wherever he went. As such most of his life involved him training his Pokemon. His first Pokemon was a Torchic he got given when he was 10 years old. Since he had spent most of his time training, naturally his Pokemon would be stronger than the average trainer, so his travels around the different regions crushing as many casual trainers as possible made him very full of himself. He got close to collecting all the gym badges in Kanto, however he had to move away before getting the 8th Badge. Regardless, he still shows off his collection to others and likes to brag about it. The most recent location his parents have moved to is Asura, which is where he currently lives.
