For Pre-Made Designs
Name:
Baphomet
Why do you want this design:
The simplicity of the design, along with the well flowing colors make him one of the most distinguished characters I have seen yet. I tend to stay away from the Oekaki adopts, but this guy definitely caught my eye enough to make me want to 'take him home' with me. He definitely looks like he would be a fun one to draw as well, what with his mischievous yet adorable look. ^^
Personality:
Quirky, cocky and rather fearless, Baphomet is a fluffster of many words and even more actions, taking pride in his ability to steal even from the most guarded creatures of all, the bald, two legged monsters that keep guardian hounds at the front of their fortresses. A.K.A. Humans.
Background: (must contain 100 - 2500 words. No more, no less. Quality in your background will go a lot better than quantity)
A shameless kleptomaniac, Baphomet feels compelled to steal any shiny object he might find, especially if said shiny is gold. This 'quirk' of his has made him be a bit of a loner, unable to keep friends due to his obsessions. His one true love is a diamond earring that he stole from a young girl who made the horrible mistake of playing too close to his ‘quarters’, in turn, starting his obsession. This is to say, this rather misguided fella started out as any other of his kind, with his mother, learning the ways of the word. The young male soon became adept at climbing, despite his rather large and bulky size, using his tail to his best advantage, and as such, gained a rather nasty reputation as a bully and a show off due to his incessant putting down of the kin and the others who lived around him.
Try as much as he could to understand just what exactly it was about him that the others could not stand, he eventually arrived to the conclusion that the others were simply jealous of his naturally good looks and his immense skill, and to the relief of the others, he decided to leave the forest and make a big name for himself elsewhere. Unfortunately for the fluffster, he never realized just how big the world really was, and how protected he was in that secluded place he used to call home. His arrival at the human plagued city was met with a playful Labrador, or as he called it, the horrible, yellow monster with many teeth that wished to devour him whole, who tried to retrieve him when he saw him, making him find by accident a large oak tree which he claimed as his new home. His naming this new place ‘home’ wasn’t so much an option at first as a nervous breakdown while he wondered if he really had done the right thing getting out of the forest, a place in which he had so thrived, to this horrible, monster filled place. His first few days were indeed only passed by his continuous hiding inside this tree’s trunk and coming out only for food and water.
The answer to his question was very soon answered, however, during his fateful encounter with the girl, the one who carried his first treasure, and made him wonder just how wondrous artifacts had been kept hidden from one such as important and dexterous as himself for such a long time. After that first shiny bauble, Baphomet needed more, and as such, he decided to explore the world around him, finding whatever he could carry, and making it a game to enter unnoticed into the unsuspecting human’s homes, stealing their valuables and trinkets to add to his hoard. Without his knowing it, his reputation began preceding him, as the humans were convinced that a new thief was on the loose, yet never did they suspect the sneaky little critter that lived in that lonely oak on the outskirts of town, with the inside of the trunk filled with gold and jewels galore. Many in the forest say that he was probably eaten, or that he died of starvation when he left, serving him right for thinking himself so much higher than the rest. Little did they know, however, that the sly devil had finally reached home.
