- Echolight hums, tail flicking as she thinks Coyoteheart's words over. She'll be honest: Wolfbite isn't a cat she's spoken to much. She knows her friend feels responsible for Tinyleaf - after all, she's the ex-mate of Brackenstar - but at the same time...
She remains quiet for the moment, though, and listens to Coyoteheart as he speaks, nodding along. She feels a small tinge of guilt; her visits with Tinyleaf are usually more duty-related and never for gossip or chit-chat: something Rosedapple seems to be better at. Honestly, Echolight has to admit that she only has non-work related conversations with Coyoteheart; the majority of the time, her conversations with Rosedapple (or the other medicine cats), Willowstep, or Mountainstar were typically regarding their well-being, or some on-goings in the medicine den.
Echolight snaps out of her thoughts when she sees Coyoteheart leaned forward and finished off the rest of her vole. "That would be best," she agrees, amusement lacing her tone. She thinks for a second, tail flicking - she should say something, about Wolfbite and Tinyleaf and Coyoteheart's concern for her before she forgets or brings it up out of nowhere when it's no longer relevant - and then she clears her throat, shaking her head to clear it. "By the way," she says, lightly nudging Coyoteheart's shoulder with her own. "Tinyleaf can take care of herself." Her tone is a bit flatter than she intended for it to be, but she hopes her friend doesn't read it the wrong way. He's seen her worked up over happenings in the medicine cats' den, and sometimes they've been over his well-being, too. "If you're worried about her, Ivyscorch and Creamflower are also there." Maybe it's a little mean to not mention that Tinyleaf could also tell Coyoteheart, but Echolight trusts that Tinyleaf can take care of herself.
Echolight stands to her paws and shakes her fur out. She ignores the urge to stretch and instead looks at Coyoteheart. "Do you want to head on in to see Tinyleaf?" She flicks her ears in the direction of the nursery. "I believe the warriors are heading out for their patrols. I can take the vole back to the prey pile."

Thunderclash's ear flicks and he glances down at Stormpaw from the corner of his eye. He feels a tiny stab of guilt - small enough to where he could ignore it, but he lets it settle for a second. Stormpaw shouldn't be having to try and cheer him up because Thunderclash is acting like a kit over Willowstep's patrol assignments not matching up with his plans. It's not like the deputy can read minds - he knows he's being ridiculous.
Thunderclash sighs. His expression doesn't change, but he does seem to loosen up some. He moves his head, this time, to look at Stormpaw. He and Leafpaw were right, of course - they'd figure something out. "We can," he says, tone flat and even. Back to normal and back to business, then. His tail flicks a bit at Stormpaw's comment - he ignores the jumble in his head and finally says, "Thanks." There's a slight bit of humor to the tom's tone; faint enough that you'd have to know Thunderclash to hear it. But, Thunderclash has spent - what, eight moons? - with Stormpaw, so he's pretty sure it's picked up on.
Plans change. It's fine - hopefully after this, things can stay according to the schedule he keeps having to reorganize in his head. Realistically, he could do better to just discard the schedule and just roll with the flow, but that's more his sister's style than his. He shakes his pelt out, centering himself. "Let's go meet with the others," he says, nodding in the direction of where the patrol is gathering with his head. He doesn't wait to see if Stormpaw will follow him; Thunderclash is confident enough that he will. Maybe he can use the border patrol to start assessing Stormpaw - it's about time the apprentice gets the ability to start thinking about his warrior assessment.
- Thunderclash glances up at Icestrike as he speaks, wondering how in the mountains the tom stays so cheerful and active, especially this early in the morning. Well, Thunderclash thinks, chancing a look outside, it's not that early anymore. He flicks his ear in an affirmative, looks next to him to see if Stormpaw is following, and quietly joins the rest of the patrol near the entrance of camp. He spots Lightningjaw nearby, but doesn't bother to strike up conversation. In the corner of his eye, he sees Wolfbite's hunting patrol heading out of camp.

- Leafpaw catches up to the group just as Wolfbite begins to speak. She feels a little embarrassed, being the last to join, but she knows that Wolfbite knew exactly where she was and what she was doing. She fluffs her pelt out, listening as Wolfbite says that it's time to head out. Leafpaw follows along in the patrol, unsure where she should stand, until her mentor calls to her. She picks up her pace and slides into place next to him, glancing up at the taller tom as he begins speaking.
When Wolfbite says that he'll be leaving his part of the hunting to her, her ears flick in surprise. Leafpaw's sure the surprise is obvious, too, which is something she probably shouldn't be so obvious about. Clearing her throat, Leafpaw schools her expression into place and nods. "Alright!" she chirps. She finds that, surprisingly, the confidence in her tone isn't all fake. Sure, she's a little nervous about the prospect - hunting both on her's and Wolfbite's parts? - but she's eleven moons now, and she's been training for seven! She feels a small prick of concern - she hadn't slept well the night before, and she does feel a tad more sluggish than usual - but it's not the first time that she's done training while dead on her paws. Besides, Wolfbite does it all the time.
"I won't let you down." Leafpaw hesitates for a heartbeat, and then asks, "We're heading south, right? Is there a specific spot you want us to stay in?" Or is it a free-for-all? goes unasked.

Mothkit is, frankly, unaware of what is going on - or at least until something plops on her head. She lets out a startled squeak and then, upon realizing that Tinyleaf had just dropped a mossball on her head and told her to play with her siblings, grins in excitement. She jumps to her paws and bats the ball toward her siblings, before remembering: "Thank you Tinyleaf!!!"
Mothkit barely pays Wolfbite any piece of mind as she excitedly leaps across the den to the mossball. She bats it toward her siblings, eyes bright, and doesn't really feel her spirit diminished when Lilykit leaves the den to go ask Ivyscorch something. Sure, she'd like to play with her sister as well, but! "Cinderkit!" Mothkit calls. She stares at her brother for a moment and then crouches, poorly mimicking the hunter's crouch she's seen the warriors and apprentices do. She pounces, aiming to land on her brother's back. "Play mossball with me!" (during this, mothkit is vaguely aware of wolfbite and tinyleaf speaking, but she's far more interested in the ball of moss tinyleaf had dropped on her head. she has half the mind to make sure she isn't under wolfbite's paws as the warrior exits the den, but that's about it.)
