Hello everyone,
I have noticed something interesting about the cattle/cows - they have no udders like they used to, not sure why? They look like cows and not bulls but maybe they are bulls, not sure now as this is confusing? Would be great to hear other people's views on this.

Happy holidays to all here.

A lot of the cows we get don't have udders :

(breeds similar to this one have horns regardless of gender)
Unless they are from a milking breed, or nursing a calf, the udders are not really going to be visible.

I also recall cattle in the wild west era being mainly used for meat and leather since it required way less work than milk and butter in the harsh conditions outside on the road, but I'm no expert so anyone feel free to correct me

Hello, Gamezelle,
Thanks for your reply. This is helpful and interesting as I thought they were able to be seen but it does make sense they might not always be when not needed. I see what you mean about horns as even the females have them - sadly they remove them sometimes if on a farm to alledgedly prevent them from hurting each other or the farmer. I really like the cattle with the hump on their back and big floppy lop ears - they are adorable.

I gave them a suggestion of an udder, just without the teats. They are indeed intended to be cows, not bulls, but the ambiguity makes it easier to consider them to be either.
Honestly, no idea why I decided to do it that way, but here we are, lmao

Some of them are lookin' for us, accusin' us of crimes we didn't commit to get our names and faces on wanted posters in towns across the West. Not that we ain't never committed a crime by the letter of the law, but we don't hurt no one. It's hard livin' out here, and we take care of our own."
Of course it's coming from an unreliable narrator so you can't necessarily take him at his word lol, but I think that's the point. This is a western, vigilante justice and a lack of proper law enforcement is a common theme
just because it is a common theme, it doesn't mean we, as modern people, shouldn't critique it. all I would like is narration pointing out that all crimes hurt someone (for example in a line like "you thought blah blah blah about what Dodge said"). instead we'll be lost in a "good criminal" stereotype and it's harmful.
But that's the point of critique and discussion, isn't it? To talk about a work and share points of view and discuss the grey morality instead of being told straight up all the time.
Also, I had no idea this and other Summer event storylines were done by one person!! Kidos to you, Lacuna!

I don't think this should be a story with a moral (especially since theft isn't so black and white an action). I also think no one will read this short story and go "wrow stealing is so cool, tomorrow i will go out and steal someone's wallet because this story i read on CS didn't explicitly tell me stealing is illegal".

It gets raised when enough people hit the limit.
I'm guessing it could happen this rollover as so many people have been asking about it, but naturally can't say for sure. If not this rollover, most likely at least one more time before the event ends.
Finnish player π³οΈβπ he/him. My birthday is June 15th!

Currently really looking for these pets for my collection! So consider trading me if you have any of them available!

Had to go way back to find this and give a correction. The grey that is thought to be a Percheron definitely is not. Percherons do not have feathering on their lower limbs as do other heavy drafts. This grey is a dappled Shire, which has more feathering than a Clydesdale does.
