Is there any way I can get this back now? I just realized that I own a set other than this in duplicate. T.T

It probably won't be made available again the usual way since it was already up for ~2 days (it was added a little late after rollover both days though so if you only ever check the pages right at rollover you probably missed it due to that). That said, usually during the last few days of events some items sets will sometimes come back where you can grab one per day and it will give you a random one out of all of them, so if that happens you will have another chance at it, and that will make it easier to trade for too since people will end up with doubles.

There is no set end date yet! If you look at past events, usually the token-hunting portion is 10-13 days, and it will be announced when the last token trade-ins are released and when token hunting ends. Then, we usually get several days after token hunting ends to trade stuff in!

We don't know yet, but it's counted as a token in inventory so it'll probably be a trade-in, my guess is we'll see in the last day or 2 of the event! ^^
My personal hunch as that this new token is meant to replace banner pets, so instead of searching for days trying to get the last banner pet you need, you'll instead be able to pick and choose which "banner pet" you'd like, but that's just my guess ^^

I don't think we've ever had like a multi-choice trade-in of that nature, or had banner/minigame pets available through any alternate way, I suppose not impossible but it does seem like the current banner pets are common enough without needing extra ways to get them.

We have had special tokens like this in past events though (Cave and Carnival if I recall correctly) and both times they were much more difficult to get, but were only used for a single trade-in that had a single outcome, so you only need 1 of the token to get all the pets, and 2 if you want all the pets + items (though in the cave event it was in a trade-in chain like token 1 > token 2 > token 3 > pet, and some people wanted one of each of those tokens too so that made it a bit more difficult to collect)

Not yet! In the past there's a specific trade in that uses the unique token.

For the cave event, if I'm remembering correctly, there was this pet

In the carnival event there was this teddy bear, but I forget what it was traded for
