I like it because it's a rat and the chunky guy is soo cool! But it also frightens me because it looks...swollen. And after having a pet rat that died horribly from tumors, that's what they remind me of. So I dress the little baby up and everything works out ok.
The hat especially helps because it still looks like it has ears, based on the little green polyps. (For lack of a better word.)

It’s so funny (but also sad for your rat) that you used the word swollen because cacti, like the prickly pear, swell up with the water they collect to use during long seasons of drought and no rain. So… yeah it’s swollen. i’m so sorry

as annoyed as i am by a new token when many of us already hit limit before it got raised, it being a love letter has piqued my interest... do we have another cleocatra x archie romance blossoming?

I just wanted to add in that we have had a token added late in an event before, during the Cave event a new token was added after several days. It was only traded in for a single outcome, so it was not necessary to get a bunch of it from the banner. I wouldn't be surprised if its going to be something similar for this one as well.

The pet during the Cave Event that you used that token for ended up being Very Uncommon, a lot of the other token pets ended up rarer than it so clearly there was enough time during the event and the drop rate high enough for a decent amount to make it into circulation even though the token didn't show up till later (and I believe that token was also added to the hourly drops as well which doesn't have a cap). imo this is just the same as new banner pets dropping during the Halloween event later in the event, even though some people hit the limit earlier. The limit is always raised after new things are added so those people have a chance too, and the pets are never especially difficult to get if you wait till the end of the event. It does suck, but the event is designed so its not locking you out of anything.

i genuinely don't think the train is moving. judging by all the context stuff i think the blown away is referring to the sandstorm.

Still not really liking the event. The only pets I've liked were the caterpillars, root beer soda cup, lizards and the snail mail. Too man natural colors still

i definitely prefer colorful pets too, but there’s lots of people that are super excited for realistic pets too! lots of events in the past have had super colorful pets, so i think it’s fair the people who like realistic pets more get more attention :]
