Blacklight greets Fletcher like every other day. A small nod and a quick little greeting of "Hey, Fletcher! How are you today?" before joining the rest of the crowd. Blacklight, once again, goes through the motions. Listening to Fletcher greet them all with the same blinding smile each and every day. Listening to Fletcher chatter on... and on... and on... and, for some reason, whenever Fletcher gives the final warning of "No aiming at anyone, okay? Only the targets," something clicks in Blacklight's mind. Blacklight has seen everyday, without FAIL, at least a single werm shoot at Fletcher specifically despite the warning. Despite the seemingly endless patience Fletcher has shown to help redirect them to one of the actual targets or send them through the demo again. And yet, at least one werm continues to shoot at Fletcher. And. You know what? Why not. Blacklight steps up like every other werm, like they've done everyday so far. The same mantra repeating over... and over... and over inside their head. I have to... I haven't done it before I just need to this once.. And, instead of shooting at one of the crafty targets Fletcher has set up, Blacklight aims at Fletcher. A small, devious smile spead across their face with an ounce of remorse. Maybe even hesitation.
