rhyme and reason is a super niche webcomic that i really enjoy. im not really sure how to summarize it but its on tumblr at rar-archive. i also really enjoy the property of hate, its about a hero and a tv head trying to save the world of make believe! its a bit darker than it may seem from the summary though. i also really like voices of the void, its a slowburn horror simulation game about finding space signals. it can be a bit goofy with the fun setting turned on but its nice that way

Probably lighthouses and Chinese diasporic food history/culture. Recently, my Splatoon hyperfixation also led me down the coleoid cephalopod rabbit hole. The conclusions I have drawn from way too many bonkers Google searches are "stop looking at space, NASA; we have aliens at home." (Please keep in mind as I write this that I know a little about a lot of things, but not a lot about anything.)

i have a looot of 'niche' interests, so i'll only mention one here, but it's vib ribbon.
if you don't know, vib ribbon is an old playstation one(or two i forgor) rhythm game with a little bunny girl named vibri! you play as her, and the game is stylized in such a cool way, it's very hard to describe though. i will mention it's all black & white, and very angular. plus, the music is great! two of my favorite video game songs are in this game, and in general i think this game should have way more traction, seeing as it's so cool

A lot of my niche interests are very tech-centric :)
Here is a sample of things that are occupying my brain at the moment:
Floppy disks: I have a small collection of interesting non-functional floppy disks, my favorite being one for a USPS mail sorter. I got a large pack of them for $20 once, most of the unlabelled ones get used for artwork while the ones with interesting labels get put in my collection.
Retro computing, and vintage programming languages: retro computers and tech have fascinated me since I was a kid. I think it was the optimism towards the future that these devices and software emitted, and the general aesthetics. Vintage programming languages (like the ones used for getting the first rocket onto the moon) are so foreign compared to high-level programming languages commonly used today.
Dead malls: I love walking around open minimally-populated malls and photographing them. They're very peaceful and just unsettling enough to make it interesting.
Sudoku: Sudoku is a well-known game, but I know very few people who actively play it. It's a beloved part of my daily routine. I love how methodical and systematic it is. It tells a story. The more I play it, the more invested I get; each puzzle I finish contributes to an overarching narrative that teaches me everything works out in the end and how to use tools and strategies to figure out challenges.

lost media, old computer viruses and malware, and an old obscure amiga 360 game called ''top banana''. i find that game interesting cause it was meant completely innocently and wasn't *meant* to be scary but it feels like the perfect idea for a surrealist horror game (a warning if you decide to look it up, the game features a lot of bright colors, flashing lights, and disorienting effects and might be unsettling for some people.)
