Yay, got the soda dog after about 8 attempts! Was holding my breath as I was shooting the last bottle haha!

I've done the game 9 times and got 1 dog. If it's really a 1 out of 5 chances to get a pet I hope I can get one soon.

Also hoping for a ringtail pet or item. I would definitely hoard it and so far just the caterpillars have me interested.

That part at the end makes me think that it is when you knock down all the bottles that you get the pets....but knocking down the bottles is definitely still randomized.

i got just the soda bottle pet yesterday first try .. now it's been another 10-ish tries and still no luck 😭😭 its maddening only having one of them

It's definitely not a 1 in 5 chance to get a pet, we'd all be swimming in pets if that was the case!

The odds could work in at least two ways that I can think of. Either your outcome is determined as soon as you start the game and whatever and however you hit doesn't really matter, then it's just like clicking a banner with extra steps. In this case the drop rate of pets would probably be around the same as banner pets in the past, I guestimate around 5% drop rate.

The other way is that each shot you do is randomized and you have a fairly decent hit rate, say 33%. The next one will have a 33% hit rate too etc. This way you'll have to hit the odds every time you shoot to get the 5/5 perfect shot and that'll end up in a very very low drop rate for pets too. (I'm terrible at statistics and percentages, so I can't calculate the end drop rate for a pet in this example but it's low)

That's just two possible ways the odds could work but obviously we don't know exactly how it works. But it's definitely not a 1 in 5 chance to get a pet!

admittedly everyone trying to find skill where there isnt is a bit funny (not in a mean way!! i genuinely find it super endearing in regards to the human nature!!)... i remember during the halloween event i convinced myself if i reverse psychology begged the banners i was more likely to get a banner pet LOL

It’s hilarious you say that because, years ago, I found when you genuinely stop wanting something (often times Halloween banner pets), they start showing up 😂 I’ve literally done this for years and it works every year 🤣

RIGHT thats what i ended up doing during the candy corn hamster craze 😭 hoping that it maybe works again for the soda pets...

don't forget the moment you pay an arm and a leg for a caterpillar banner and three hours later everyone somehow has like twelve of them and there's a new banner pet and you suddenly start to pull that same caterpillar 3x in a row 🥲
