2024 Summer Event: Casual Chat

I'm both interested and a little nervous to see where this goes, as there are some general themes involved with the "Wild West" that can be touchy ie: the land wasn't actually wild, people already lived there lol

Hoping CS can thread the needle alright.

The "wild" part comes from it being an absolutely gruesome part of history. I'm not a fan of western stuff, but there might be some nice scenery items!

{ which I'm also super hyped about ??? Wild West ??? I absolutely didn't see this coming and I can't wait to see where the story goes! the NPCs are fantastic and I definitely hope we'll get to take them home at the end of the event too ♡

I love this pony!! <3 Her eyes are so expressive, and her mane and tail feel more alive than our regular ponies.
I can't wait to see the other outcomes in the following days!

The “wild” comes from basically criminals ruling the west. There were rules and authority figures, they just didn’t listen to them

Imagine the mafia but they didn’t hide their criminal activity. It was all out for everyone to see.

Honestly I didn’t think this theme was really asked for much and personally 😒🤷🏻‍♀️ But we already got some scenery items which is great and I reckon we may get some cool snakes so that will be nice.
Oh and the horse does have really soulful eyes which is nice.

Appreciate the etymology! Doesn't eliminate the point that there's some rough parts of American history in there that we're still recovering from today, though. It is cool to know where that came from, I was exposed to a lot of "Westward, where the land is free" talk when I was in school, so I assumed that was the basis xD

There wasn’t much discussion on the “What would be your dream summer event theme” thread this time around so that might be why it seems like that, but I think that this year’s event will be good regardless of theme, especially with how good last year’s event was.

I love the rats too! I'm so excited to see more rats, maybe some prairie dogs with the rat lines as the base. Ohh. And cute little hats for them all. And if there really are going to be bandits then I'm gonna be hard on the [oregon] trail for some outfits.

Not to forget the WANTED item with the crime: STEALING TOKENS. So good!
