A sunny werm in a backwards hat is busy painting circles and squares on pieces of scrap metal. She drags them out to a empty patch of land to let them dry face up. When she sees you wander by, she wipes her sweat off her brow and waves you over with a huge grin.

Hihi! Welcome!! The name’s Fletcher! Looks like you’ve found my archery range.

(She pauses as you look dubiously over her shoulder at the whole lotta nothin going on).

W-well, soon-to-be archery range! I'm just putting on some finishing touches. Take a look
around while I get set up! If you want to have a go at some archery, meet me over there.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞

You wander around a bit before joining the growing crowd of wermz by a table with some strange contraptions on it. Fletcher finishes stabbing some decorated signs into the dirt, before bounding up to the lot of you.

Wow, so many of you! Hi everyone! (She flashes the crowd another blinding smile.)
I've been tinkering with some stuff I found while scavenging, and made these! (She
gestures towards the table, strewn with bows, arrows, and some leather scraps.)
Y-yeah, it's been too hot to explore the Wastelands, so I've been keeping busy
inside. Hah. (She scratches the back of her neck sheepishly.)

That's enough chatter from me! Do you want to try a round? It's totally free! :D

Fletcher explains how to hold the bow, nock the arrow, and how to aim.

Alright, everyone, got it? We'll all shoot until we have no arrows left, then everyone stops, and I'll signal when to go collect. If you hit the target, you get a prize. If you hit a bullseye, (she leans in conspiratorially) you'll get a really good prize! If you miss, no biggie, you can always try again next round.

And please be careful with the equipment! We don't want anyone getting hurt. No aiming at anyone, okay? Only the targets.

It looks like Fletcher has left out a sign that says “Decorate!” In front of the table is a big crate filled with…something.. Upon closer inspection, they seem to be things that are worn on your back to carry something. Old pieces of scrap fabric, paint, dried plants, and clearly scavenged bits and bobs are strewn out on the table.

Hiya! Please feel free to decorate your own quiver! I have a bunch of prototypes lying around. They could use a fresh look!

Fletcher's beginning to pack up her range today. All of the target scraps stand in a big pile against the lean-to. Bags once full of prizes lay neatly folded on the floor. One holds a bunch of pokey objects that you can only guess are broken arrows. Fletcher's own bow and quiver are hung carefully above you on hooks.

(Fletcher smiles up at you as you approach.)

Hihi! Yeah, it's time for me to shut 'er down. I've ran out of prizes, and Robin needs my help in the city for a bit. Something about "a big heist." I dunno what that means, but I miss her a lot and should spend some time with her. This lean-to's not going anywhere, so I'll be back before you know it! :D

I've had sooo much fun this summer. I hope you did too! I made so many new friends and enemies? I think...

But before I mosey along...I have some extra bows and quivers for sale! I can't store them all, and most of you have really earned them. What better way to keep up the sport than to share it with you? Keep practicing while I'm away, 'kay?
