─ Appearance : A light brown tabby tom with medium-length fur, yellow eyes, and a long, plumed tail.

─ Personality : Ever alert, Kestrelpaw is an observant cat. Although many don't notice him, Kestrelpaw keeps an eye on everything. He knows more about each of his clanmates than they would expect. Partially because he is fearful, and trusts rarely. But those cats that he does trust, he trusts wholeheartedly. Even with those cats, he definitely isn't chatty, but will show his affection privately. With an excellent memory, he's an expert at recognizing herbs, as well as holding grudges. He won't show it, but he always remembers, and detests a cat who has wronged him. Due to his quiet nature, cats tend to assume he's more mature than the average apprentice (or just a little bit strange). Truthfully, he's no wiser than his peers, and can be quite high strung. Kestrelpaw just doesn't ask questions, he figures things out on his own. When he talks, his immaturity often shows. He fully dedicates himself to any task he's given, and secretly loves praise when it's coming from the right cat.

─ History : Born 9 short moons ago to older parents, Kestrelpaw was his parent's first and only kit. The first few moons of his life, Kestrelpaw was doted upon by his parents. Although his father came back from patrols with new wounds every day, he still made an effort to be with his family. At four moons old, Kestrelpaw's mother fell ill, but there were not enough herbs to heal her. She passed away from her illness, and his father would follow soon after, killed in a fight against a hawk. With both of his parents having passed, Kestrelpaw was forced into the role of an apprentice. Deemed too cowardly and weak to be a warrior apprentice, he was put to work in the medicine den. No cat, including Kestrelpaw, is truly sure if he enjoys being in the medicine den. Despite that, he chooses to stay.

─ Appearance : A stocky, thick-furred lynxpoint tom with pale blue eyes and many scars.

─ Personality : Competitive and passionate in everything he does. Will do just about anything to prove himself. Everything usually turns out well for him, so he has a slightly inflated ego. He can be reckless at times, and is not as skilled as he believes he is, but he always works hard. His passion tends to make up for it in the eyes of others. Icestrike has little interest in a mate or kits, too dedicated to his clan to be interested in such a commitment. Friendships, however, are perfectly fine for him, and he couldn't be without them! He can be insensitive with other cats, and has trouble understanding the struggles of others at first. Life is simple to him, with his goal being to have fun and devote himself to his clan.

─ History : Icestrike was born to two average warriors, the only tom in a litter of four. Despite that, he was the weakest of his litter. Everywhere he went, his sisters banded around him. To this day, they're very close. His condition improved as he aged, although he still had to be apprenticed a moon late. With his family and mentor's support, he was able to catch up and grow stronger. Due to his improvement, he became a warrior at the same time as his littermates, although his skill was not exactly on their level.

─ Appearance : A light brown and white tabby she-cat with amber eyes. She's smaller than the average cat, but she isn't scrawny. Her coat is short and thin, which makes life in the mountains significantly more difficult for her.

─ Personality : Fawnwhisper has always been meek and shy, lacking confidence. She was very naive well into her apprenticeship. Now, she's less likely to believe what others say blindly, but will not speak against them even if she disagrees. To her, potentially upsetting others is just not worth it. She craves love and attention, and can't bear the idea of being disliked. Her imagination tends to run wild in these situations. She has her head in the clouds half of the time, and ends up embarrassed when others notice. Fawnwhisper cares for others deeply, and is very compassionate, but ends up being hurt often due to it. She's not the type to complain, and instead bottles her own feelings up while listening to others worries.

─ History : Average history, from a second litter. Parents always doted on her sister and compared the two. Fawnwhisper isn't particularly jealous about it, but is dejected due to her parent's obvious favoritism for some of her other siblings. She fades into the background, so she managed to escape being apprenticed early, but she was made a warrior too late. She hasn't had kits, but would really love to in the future (given she can find the right tom, as they say.) She dreams of that sort of thing, since all of the other she-cats in her family say it's great, after all, but it hasn't stopped her from swooning over her fellow she-cats...

@tauriel. i think having bumblepaw and mistpaw be friends would be so cute! although i'm not too sure he would that bitter about the fact that she's going to be a warrior — maybe it could be that in combination with her being overly caring or cautious around him? he might take her worry as a personal jab to his ego, if that makes sense LOL c: and willowstep and sageblossom could definitely be close childhood friends! i'd love that <3 feel free to pm me if you wanna discuss more (this goes for everyone actually!!)

i think goosefeather being echolight's former mentor would be awesome! i made goosefeather pretty grumpy, but i feel like with the other medicine cats (and apprentices) he'd show his soft side pretty often. if you had any other ideas about their relos please let me know!!!

and for leafpaw & stormpaw, i can definitely see stormpaw sneaking out with leafpaw to try to find her family - along with any other shenanigan's they could get into!

YESSSS gimme the found family trope!! i mentioned it above but i made goosey p grumpy but with his fellow med cats i'd imagine he shows a pretty soft side (:

as for rosedapple and dovelight, i would love that!! dovelight would LOVE the company (despite also being grumpy sometimes) and would love to thrill anyone with some good ol' elder stories. i also feel like dovelight would have immense respect for the medicine cats in general!

for tiny and wolf, that sounds super cute!! since their ages aren't too far apart, 4 moons, maybe they've known one another since apprenticehood/early warriorhood? if you're looking for something even more, i'm also down to have tiny be interested in wolf, even if they don't reciprocate those feelings! either way, them escorting her around would be SO SWEET!!

i think your idea of goose and mist is fantastic. because he can relate, he would've been so caring to her, almost fretting over her like a worried parent. i kind of feel like he would've pushed her to do what she wants and what makes her happy, and was thrilled that mountainstar became her mentor. if believe wants to, i'm totally down to do a trio dynamic with them!

and for dovelight, i feel like she DEFINITELY would've taken willowstep in! perhaps i can work into her story that dovelight was never able to have kits so finding willow was like her saving grace (:

It would be super cute friendship! Hmm, I can picture her getting a little worried for him occasionally but I think she’d be more likely to look up to him since he’s had more experience and knows all this information about healing cats and wants to prove his worth, just like Mistpaw wanting to show the clan that her blindness won’t impede her ability to become a warrior. When he’s harsh on himself for making mistakes, that would definitely bring out the worry for him but she would be able to understand and relate, since for her, she’s got an issue of thinking she should be able to do things easily the same as the other warrior apprentices, but when she can’t, she feels anxious and frustrated.

Aww, that would be lovely! I think Mistpaw would’ve definitely appreciated that and would have leaned into him for that feeling of parental love, especially after her father dies. Goosefeather doesn’t replace him of course, but I think she probably would picture him similar to being a third parental figure, even if he might not feel like that. For Mistpaw, he would’ve been taking care of her for as long as she’d be able to remember, same as her biological parents. Him pushing her to do what makes her happy would’ve been really important for her, an encouragement that she could still be a warrior.
I can definitely see him being a huge help to Mountainstar and Mistpaw in her training if Believe thinks it’d be a good idea. Mountainstar would probably need to take a bigger role in it considering how Mistpaw views Goosefeather, but I really do think he’d be able to help somewhat. He’d still be free to have his own apprentice as well.
Mistpaw would definitely be visiting the medicine den everyday just to see him and Bumblepaw

That would be so sweet, I love that! You mentioned with @senua that Dovelight enjoys telling elder stories? That’s something that Willow enjoys as well so if Dovelight had always liked telling stories, perhaps Willowstep got that from Dove’s stories told to Willow when she was a kit? Dovelight might’ve started telling Willowstep stories pretty soon after taking her in as her own kit.

Aww I love that! I can see Rosedapple considering Dovelight a grandmother figure too! (I am also a big fan of found family omg it’s so cute!) I can see Rosedapple noticing his soft side with the med cats and playfully teasing him about it.

And I am totally down for both of them to be interested in each other! I am also a sucker for childhood friends to lovers so they both could end up following that trope! I think they would have really adorable potential. Perhaps Tinyleaf developed a crush on them first, whether it be naturally or Wolfbite perhaps saved her from a predator or otherwise sticky situation when they were apprentices? And then Wolfbite eventually realizes their own feelings(since they have difficulty reading their own) and begins to unravel because of that lol.

I can see Wolfbite and Ivyscorch maybe being friends? Since Ivyscorch is a queen, Wolfbite would be visiting the queens den often due to Tinyleaf being there and I can imagine that also means they had conversations with Ivyscorch. He also wouldn’t be offended by her snappy personality, I can see them having a sense of understanding for her grief and bringing her stuff to help show support. Especially since Ivyscorch lost family to rogues, and Wolfbite is distrustful of non-clan mates. Even though Brambletooth is an npc currently, it is possible Wolfbite knows about him and feels a sense of defense over Ivyscorch for what he did?

I can also see Lightningjaw and Rosedapple being friends! She would understand his insecurity with his jaw so she would support him and compliment him often to try and help build his confidence.

Maybe Sageblossom could be friends with Rosedapple? I can see Rosedapple being aware of her timid self and asking her to accompany as her warrior-guard during herb gathering patrols to try and build her confidence!

I can also see Wolfbite and Sageblossom being friends! And I think they would have an interesting contrast, since Sageblossom is timid and dependent, Wolfbite is confident and independent. I can see Wolfbite acknowledging her dependency and shyness, and so they offer to accompany her on patrols. I can also see Wolfbite keeping a close eye on her and stepping in if they see her frozen under pressure or in some other situation like that c:

coughs. i will attempt to get mothkit's form up at some point in time. probably tomorrow after my kitten eclipse (hopefully!!!!!!!) gets her cone off. god i hope she gets it off the rat is feeling way too much better and is scaring me (she has tried to scale the cat tower in my room three times in the last two days.).
also! featherstep is 42 moons & bug+song are 11 moons :) idk abt willow spark or shiver tho.

there’s probably also a few cats i could list out for relos (esp for echo or leaf) but i spent way too long writing this and i have Got to get some sleep LOL i’ll scan forms & figure some stuff out tomorrow/later while i’m at work!! <3

@senua oo honestly yeah!! i could see that for rose+echo. and i know you mentioned rosedapple would often sneak into the med cat den/allow herself to get a little beat up so she’d be able to visit. do you think she’d have ever fessed up to it? i didn’t mention it in her form but echolight was always fascinated with the medicine cat stuff so she’d literally go to the den to watch. one of those things where she was like “this is MY calling and you will LIKE IT!!” til she got the part. they could probably bond over that? echolight was also an apprentice around the time rosedapple was a kit/apprentice so she’d have seen her around the den a lot too. & yes!! echolight may not be super responsive to rosedapple’s ramblings depending on how concentrated she is on something but i love the idea of them being able to just yap to each other

that would be So Funny how long do you think it’s been going on? thunderclash would probably see her and just go “oh no what this time” but realizes belatedly that he half enjoys their mostly one sided conversations & comes to expect them. but yes he does prioritize fighting so that probably has landed him in the med cat den more often than not which - especially if it’s been after rosedapple joined the med cats - does not help his case. thunderclash would probably be one of those cats who pretends he isnt listening but when the other cat stops he goes “?? i was listening.”

i think what makes the idea of rose/raven & thunder friends is that theyre half his age so they never knew him when he was super extroverted. and now hes got this warrior turned med cat who keeps going out of her way to try and chat with him & this other cat that he likely keeps getting put on patrols with. (but yeah - they’re similar but no good at talking so if they’d become friends it might take a while lol. unless thunderclash (briefly?) mentored ravenfall, but idk if the ages would work out that way considering hes mentoring stormpaw)

@tauriel + senua oh 100%!! honestly if willowstep didn’t end up in the med den with burnout by herself rosedapple or echolight might have seen her flagging and pulled her in there themselves - even if it was as a “take a break i will literally claw brackenstar’s ears off if he tries to put you on a patrol today” way. it would’ve absolutely made it hard to avoid!! and yes - echolight has never had a good work-life balance; she kinda figured something out between the ages of 14-25 moons but then after her parents died a few moons back (probably like… 6-11?) it all went out the door lol. but yeah echolight would probably be “i get it i know it’s hard but if you don’t take a break for even a second you’ll end up in starclan sooner than they want to see you” (to which echolight also realizes that ‘the call is coming from inside the house’ but obviously it’s different for her /j) but yes willowstep would probably turn echo’s own advice back on her. and each time echo goes “stop giving me my own advice!!”

@tauriel oh yeah mistakes will for sure happen - which will be very very funny to write; i imagine it’d turn into how two of my cats sometimes act around each other - but i am excited. their dynamic is gonna be so funny. not to the clan cats or them but for us specifically.

@lacke word!! honestly i think him being grumpy would be funny with echolight anyway - as a kit she’d poke her head in the den and just watch him so i imagine those first few moons leading up to her apprenticeship were probably a bit tense but amusing in hindsight. i may shoot you a dm about their relos later as well!! it’s like 1:30am for me rn & i gotta be up for work at 6 so i’m not super active brain power right now. but yes i love your idea.

as per leaf+storm - that’s so cute yes!! i know you mentioned he’s a bit easily persuaded, and with leafpaw sometimes being super headstrong she may have (accidentally/in part accidentally/sometimes purposefully in a “it’ll be fun!!” way) talked him into doing stuff he didn’t really want to do but did anyway? i think them also having been apprenticed early would also help their friendship? especially since they’re the same age.

also! turns out thunderclash is mentoring stormpaw, so i think that’d be a super interesting dynamic as well? thunder would probably have started off a bit more patient with stormpaw (bc yknow. apprentice it’s not his fault thunderclash is furious that he was (probably) apprenticed early but he wasn’t stupid enough to try and call brackenstar out on it even if he wanted to) so for the first maybe 2-3 moons he probably mostly stuck to hunting + border stuff with a few battling lessons in between & trying to take it easy on him, but once stormpaw hit ~7-8moons he started doubling down on battle lessons? he’d be proud of stormpaw’s ambition but would probably be very very bad at showing it, which wouldn’t be helped by his low patience either. so he’d be one of those cats who just goes “again.” “again.” until he finally goes “… good job.” i also don’t imagine him being the kind to hand praise out lightly?


@catfrog i adore kestrelpaw. i have a faint idea for a relo between him & echolight if you’re interested - more of a “i respect that you’re good at what you do and i have absolutely no qualms teaching you & i am proud of you for being able to memorize all these herbs and figure it out while coping with the loss of your parents but are you sure this is what you want” vibe that echo has toward kestrel. she definitely holds a lot of respect to him as well.

@daifuku if you want bumble & echo to have a pre established relationship i am all for it!! esp since they’re in the same den. looking at his form i think echolight would hold a lot of respect for him but also definitely wouldn’t treat him any differently than she might goosefeather? in relations to his low vision. she’d respect how much care he throws into his duty but also wishes he wouldn’t be so hard on himself.
