i have a few breyers and like 50 schleich and the barn!!! i don't collect them avidly and don't really pay attention to rarity either :) i just want them!! been collecting since i was like 9 haha

I collect breyers! I’ve got over two hundred of ‘em they’re so cool. CS even has a breyer fan club if you like breyers, although it’s fairly quite for the most part everyone’s very friendly. CS definitely has a big horse loving community in it so I wouldn’t be surprised if there happened to actually be a fair sum of model horse collectors/customizers on here!

I just got the mint chocolate schleich unicorn like 10 minutes ago haha. She's my first from the bayala collection too!! I would share photos of her but I'm in my phone so I cant :<

Peavey Mart/TSC is so dead so I got her on sale for only $3.97. I can't say she'd be my first choice out of the set but she's cute enough :) her colour and mold are pretty nice but I noticed the paint jobs on her and all the other schleich there looked so much worse now. Either way I'm happy to add another pon to my collection :3

Oh my goodness, I used to have quite a collection of Breyer horses as a kid....Kinda want to start collecting them again now that I have adult money but tbh I don't even know where to start anymore 😭

popping in to say, im another breyer collector who stumbled apon this thread!

I got my first breyers at age 7 or 8, they where a stablemates "prancing ponies" gift set of i think 4 adults and one foal as a christmas present. Been obsessed with breyers ever since.

Now that im a young adult, my main focus is to acquire my most wanted models/grails from my childhood. I really only collect traditional and stablemates, but i do have one classic, a bucking bronco from 2000. I also love to get my hands on affordable after-market breyerfest/celebration/club models as i cant afford to waste so much money to be in their clubs at the moment, and traveling to breyerfest would cost me more in traveling than my ticket and models..

currently i have 15 traditional models (4 in box)
20 stablemates (incl. NIB Collector club model "Chroma")
10 schleichs ( 5 cows + one piglett)
+ 1 Peter Stone "Woody" on their reiner mold w/ box + certificate

My most valuable model, as well as my achieved holy grail #1 is my Four Seasons Treasure Hunt chase piece "Winter/Wintersong" in matte version. my amazing bf copped him for me for around $150. hes LSQ minus a minor ear rub that can be fixed. Ive never seen him go for sale less than $200 again (ebay).

I dont have anybody in my personal life who collects model horses, nor have i ever. So I get pretty excited talking about my collection of plastic ponies lol. Its a "small" collection but i ride the line between buying valuable/rare models and models i just plain enjoy
also eternally grateful to have a partner who doesnt mind me having shelves dedicated to my overpriced plastic horse collection

Breyer lovers unite <3 You will never grow out it !!!! I still have all mine since I was a child and passed them to my children. There is a game that came out called Caballus Collecting where you have digital model horses!

Adult money was the best thing to ever happen to my collection hehe I can always ask for breyers for birthdays but the really cool stuff tends to be pricey so it was nice being able to finally fund some super fun models and customized ones.
What I like to do is look at Identify your Breyer when trying to figure out what sort of models I’d like. That’s how I found out about my favorite mold from the Mesteño family. That gave me a nice little goal when it came to collecting since I had something to look out for. (And also help me not snatch up every Breyer I see >:)c )

I'm SO excited for the next two Premier Club releases!! I parted with the first model of the year but I absolutely cannot wait for the rest of them.
