Maybe I'm just a cringe P3 elitist, but I just don't like how the game feels too much like Persona 5 with a P3 coat of paint. I know that it's technically a very beautiful game, and a very well-made one, but I guess I wasn't expecting it to resemble Persona 5 more than 3 lol.
So instead, I have returned to my ultimate comfort game in Xenoblade Chronicles while I heal from getting all my wisdom teeth pulled out x_x
Felt that about persona3 reload, it took me about halfway into the game to actually get into it…eugh
It definitely seems like they tried to take a persona5 approach with the gameplay, but it just falls short.. I don’t know I feel like I’m dragging my feet trying to clear Tartarus by the deadlines it’s such a grind and overall repetitive. Which is kinda crazy because you’d think the developers would try to fix that in a remake but yea. The game does such a good job at developing the characters and story that I just want to read dialogue and /sometimes/ fight, I don’t necessarily want to go spend hours in Tartarus.
You’re so right about the art direction though, it’s kinda crazy how much the animation quality improves with each new atlas game, it’s so visually stunning. The soundtrack is always pretty banger too. Lol it’s pretty funny cause at the same time I bought persona 3 reload I also downloaded Fortnite so basically whenever I’m dreading p3r I just hop on Fortnite
and get sniped within the first minute of landing so I rage quit and go back to p3r its an endless cycle of misery
