I'm sending Lightning because Seeley said they were okay with it. If all the horses start leaving, that wouldn't really be okay. And it seemed like there was more interest towards Lightning than my new mare and foal. Lightning was already in the herd, so I couldn't change that, because we'd already started posting.]

her head raises from the grass as she chews on her mouthful of grass as she listened to the older mare speak and nods her head slightly. Her ears swivel about as she remains alert to the movement of the other wildlife in the trees as her tail swishes behind her at the flies. A faint sound, similar to a nicker but not, comes from her as she looks around, noticing that there wasn't a stream flowing nearby since she couldn't hear the sound of moving water.

She wandered the valley with her filly at her side, never allowing her to wander too far. Although the valley was generally safe, Seneca believed that danger could be at every turn if they weren't careful. Not to mention that there was a growing number of herds and bachelor stallions that she found to be untrustworthy.

The chestnut leopard foal followed her mother close behind, though her eyes often scanned the valley. Were there other horses around, not to mention other foals about her age? Although she loved Seneca with all of her heart, little Kalondra often dreamed of belonging to a herd and having more friends to play with.

He snorted softly at his words, glad that he hadn't offended him or possibly run the mare off. "I'm sure that's a big change, after living with other horses for so long. And... what about you? Do you miss living with others?" Baxter asked curiously. In the midst of their conversation, he was slightly appalled at Winter's question -- but mostly of his own impoliteness. "Oh, goodness! I'm so sorry, I should've introduced myself from the start. My name is Baxter, I also used to live in stables with other Paint Horses."

He shook his mane again and snorted, a wide huff from his nostrils as he took in her scent on the next inhale. Her scent was somewhat plain yet sweet, indicative of her status of being fixed... not that it meant much to him -- he was simply prideful on the possibility of his first mare. "My name is Odyssey, and dare I say... I've been waiting for you. Have you been looking for me, my dear? You're quite a delight on these lonesome eyes," the Nokota whinnied smoothly.

She shook her head with annoyance "You don't get it..." she said then turned away "Whatever do whatever you want...I don't care anymore, you've made your choice" she said flicking her tail she looked at Pozaroo "Come on Pozaroo" she said to her foal and started to follow the older mare away to the herd.

She nodded to her mother and without much thinking followed her. She was sad that Lightning was leaving, but what could she do? She made her decision to go to that bachelor, kind of rude to Thunder thought and she didn't truly understand why could she not take him with her.

Goldmoon - mare - 3 - Foals; open - tags: open

She started running, not really even knowing where she was supposed to go now...When she awakened this morning this was not on her mind at all. she decided this all out of the air and now she was not even sure if she made the right choice. She even decided to take the other side to run away, just to make sure she could not run into that bachelor, who started this all.

She narrowed her eyes like she was having this what-a-damn- is happening here. She shook her head "I see we don't speak the same language, talking to you is like talking to rocks..." she said stamping the ground a little bit then turned around "Fine, whatever...do as you please..." she said turning around to leave the group "Tou could take your foal with you...don't break all the rules, what means to be on a herd" she said then looked at Cascade "Cascade" she said to her youngster before she started to move to the herd.

She stayed mostly silent, only giving a nod to her mother when she mentioned her name to her to follow her and Magoo. She looked at Thunder "It's sad that you're leaving, but... it seems nay of us are worth enough to stop you...I hope you find what you're looking for" she said then ran after her mother and the two others.

Romeo's Herd

Frost - mare - 7 - foals; Nebula, Wisp - tags: Ember, Romeo

She looked at them and then lowered her head to eat some grass. Her ears watched at Wisp, as he was now standing next to her. Her ears perked back and forth as she looked behind the path that had come here earlier and didn't see her older daughter anywhere. She didn't get that worried yet, she was at the age when she roamed around herself a bit, and as long she did come back she could not be worried.

Nebula - filly - 2 - stallion; n/a - tags: River

She flicked her tail a bit "My mother is not the lead mare, just a herd member, but the group is small, I think the lead mare could not mind...it's not hurt to try right?" she said to her. She shook her head "There are plenty of bachelors, but I feel like already made herd could give you and your foal the safety you need, one bachelor alone can do that..." she said.

Wisp - colt - 14 days - tags: open

He looked at her "Nothing...I am doing nothing..." he responded then ran back to his mother.

Loners

Pride - Bachelor - 3 - mares; open - tags: Charmer, Ginger

He followed the scent to the woods but then had this feeling like whoever was there didn't want them there so he decided to follow another figure of two horses one being an adult likely an old stallion and then there seemed to be a younger mare, they walked so far to each other that he could not believe that they were actually together. He walked carefully closer to them or the mare "Hello there..." he asked her seeing there was something about her "Are you blind?" he questioned her.

Charmer - bachelor - 2½ - mares: open - tags: Pride, open

He followed after his older brother, shaking his head as he could scent plenty of mares there, but did they belonged to a herd or not, he was not sure. It could be risky to just walk there without taking a better look at what was going on there. He stayed in the woods as his brother walked to talk to the mare which seemed to follow a way older stallion, but that distance made it rather odd.

Moon Sparks - mare - 10 - stallion; open - foals: Lunar, Ace - tags: Magic

She looked at her adult fouls and started to walk away from where the stallion was. She was not ready to welcome him just yet. She hoped the stallion could understand it too, maybe in wilds the mares drool over the first stallion they see, but she was different she didn't want to trust them. So she kept her distance for now.

He looked at the stallion then the two mares and foal, who was confused as always. He felt like it was good for her not to fully understand as he didn't know how to explain this all to her. When the stallion seemed to give them some space and his mother was moving away he followed after them but still stayed between his family and the stallion.

Lunar - mare - 5 - stallion; open - foals; Secret - tags: Magic

She looked at him "They don't, stallions behave more aggressively when around mares, humans can't fully handle them then, that's why they geld most of them to calm them down so they could be easier and more focused to learn...we're not horses who were being free, we were escaped..." she said to him "If those humans found us they will want us back..." she said to him. She looked as he kept his distance and then walked to her mother.

Secret - filly - 2 months - stallion; n/a - tags: family

She shook her head around, like trying to figure out what was going on there. As her mother and the gelding started to move when her aunt was she ran after them happily.

The silver bay eyed sighed and shook her head a couple times. She was focusing more on her son now, as well as Pozaroo who was definitely too young. Cascade wasn't quite old enough to leave yet either. She then moved over to Thunder, not trusting that stallion...She didn't know what kind of stallion that stranger was. Therefore, she stuck close to Thunder, and was glad when Macchiato came closer.

The bay foal with the amber eyes didn't even notice when his mama left. Matcha came over to him, and made sure he didn't see. Macchiato also came over, and he stared up at the gelding a moment. He looked at him and said "Hi," with a small sound like a giggle.

The golden-tan dun Tobiano nodded as he looked down at the foal. He and his mother gathered the colt to the rest of the herd. It was night now, so they needed to all gather together to make sure they'd all be safe. Especially foals and any of the much younger members.

The gorgeous dun mare, with her back and leg stripes, had sneaked off. She'd already made the choice, and clearly she wasn't worth anything to her. She'd snapped her teeth at whoever had told her to take her colt with her. Of course she wasn't, most stallions would harm a colt! Snorting now, she made it over to the stallion. She looked him over then finally spoke, saying "Hello, um...what's your name?"

The reddish brown pointed, back striped and leg striped golden mare had shaken her head and sighed. Now, it was nighttime, so she moved closer to the others.

The beautiful bay with the coronets, snip, frost marking, and brown eyes, whinnied. The pink-striped-black hoofed male glanced around. The black muzzled one, with pink dots on his muzzle, saw four foals. He called "Hey!" and ran to them then stopped. "I'm Pride."

The black spotted and eared white male let blue and brown eyes linger. He'd nodded and told the other he did sometimes miss being there. He'd also said Baxter was a handsome name; now, it was nighttime. "We...we need to find somewhere safe," he said to the other. He then wondered if maybe they could find Silvia and whoever she was with. "Should we...do you think we could find Silvia and whoever she's with?"

A Silver Tree; Silvia- fixed mare- 14- Quarter pony- was at a barn- stallion: could go with Odyssey- foals: had two, could adopt- Demi- Tags: Odyssey

She'd then asked if he was alright with the fact she was fixed...Then she'd brought up that they could just adopt, if he wanted foals. Now, it was nighttime, and she made a worried sound. "Odyssey, I left my friend behind, and I really shouldn't have? Could he and his new friend join us?" she asked, then let out a breath. "He's a gelding, and his new friend smells like one as well. They wouldn't be any threat to your status," she said to the stallion.

The ambery eyed silver bay stallion had nodded to Lunar, though looked sad. He knew it was a sad fact but a true one...that many males got gelded. He'd heard mares could be fixed as well though. It wasn't as usual, but sometimes that would be done by humans as well. He'd followed the family, at a distance so Moon Sparks wouldn't freak out. Now, it was nighttime and he got a bit worried. They had such a young filly with them, though they'd clearly done well for themselves up to now. Shaking his head, he watched the mares, gelding and filly.

The brown marked white mare kept a watchful eye now, as it was getting dark. If Freya was with them, she kept an eye on her as well. If not, well she had her own young foal to worry about right now. However, she'd still worry for Freya, and hope she'd found somewhere safe to go.

The pretty little bay coat and spot filly, with white on her back, sides and belly, stuck close to mama. She glanced around for a moment. She then sighed and laid down, stretching out on her side. Her mama nudged her and she knew, they needed to move a little further before settling for the night.

The four orphans trotted slowly into an area where Legacy could smell other horses. She pushed the others forward "come on we need to find the band I smell so we can be safe." She told them.

Stormfire grazed as night fell and he raised his head and flicked his ears back and forth. He was slightly restless but he was hopeful that the mare who'd called out to him earlier in the day would find her way to him if she chose to escape her band.


River tossed her head slightly as she spoke with Nebula "so what's your father like as a band stallion? From what I've seen he seems to be a caring stallion who loves his mares and keeps a close watch on them" She said softly her ears perked as she looked around for a moment

Romeo stood close to Ember and watched the band and the foals that grazed or slept near their dams (meaning mothers) he was proud of his band and he loved every one of them even if the foals weren't his.

Stormfire looked at the beautiful mare "I'm Stormfire but most call me Storm. I heard you calling this afternoon" he said to her as he slowly reached out to touch his muzzle to hers. "How did you manage to slip away beautiful?" He asked her.

River looked at Nebula "do you think that I'd be welcome in your father's band?" She asked as she lowered her head to scratch her foreleg.

Romeo kept his head up as he looked at Ember "rest my beauty our foal needs his or her mother in peak health and you need rest. I'll keep you safe" He told her as he watched her.

Legacy and her three companions finally stumbled into the tall grass near where Romeo and the others rested. Hope sighed softly as she looked at the buckskin colt and lightly pressed herself to his side. The older colt stopped and looked at the two younger foals then at Legacy "the two younger ones need rest and fed. So do we." He told her.

The black beauty with the swan neck marking and stockings looked around. Beautiful blue eyes fell on the handsome stallion she'd been following around.

During her time with the mare and foal, Freya had fully relaxed and moved closer to them, enjoying the company. Her head had raised from the grass she was grazing on when the two started to move off. The small filly hesitates for a moment before trotting after them to catch up, instinct urging her to stay with them for the time.
