Windstorm Herd

You can play loners too, or make smaller herds if you want.

Windstorm herd is located in a valley, where of course storms can reach. It gets windy in certain seasons too, and otherwise is sunny in three seasons. It starts to get cold in the middle or end of fall. Its of course snowy in the winter, as most places will be in that season. There's mountains surrounding the valley, forests and copses of trees nearby. There's also a small lake, as well as a river to drink from, an plenty of grass.

(my other horse RP had to closed because some people had to quit and a few just quit posting...I decided to make a new one with just one main herd)

The rules:
1. Follow all CS rules
2. No godmodding or power play. An older mare will be followed by younger mares. An older stallion will beat much younger stallions.
3. You can have as many characters as you can manage
4. Try to keep genders even
5. Try to mostly do mustangs and mustang mixes, Paints or Appys even, and don't do too many of the same breed either. But this is a wild horse RP, so keep it a bit realistic.
6. No perfect characters
7. Please be mindful of others; be respectful and kind
8. I will play lead mare (instead of the stallion because I like to be different)
9. LGBTQ+ is allowed to an extent, but for like geldings or fixed mares just give them romantic orientation...if they're fixed, they're asexual. Also, no lesbian mares since...they wouldn't be able to fade to black, and I'm not sure if people would be uncomfortable with homosexual stallions either. Also, horses aren't humans, so trans horses would still be their birth gender even if they go by a different gender. So keep that in mind too when doing sexuality and stuff.
10. Please put the sexuality of your horses too..and ask questions if needed.

History:
Matcha was born in the wild. However, when she was very young she was captured...She was kept by some humans. She was given the name Matcha. She actually liked the name. She managed to escape at four years old. An older mare helped her. She went back to the wild. She met her stallion out there. She joined the Windstorm herd. They had one foal together. She's fine with only having one.
Description:
Beautiful silver bay mare, meaning she has silver on her legs and muzzle. Her mane and tail are also a silver color, and her hooves are gray. Her eyes are a blue color with a greenish tint, and can look green. They only look green under certain lights, so its hard to tell.

Sweet, sensible, but sensitive and sometimes shy. Wary but willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Honest but has a streak of wild. A touch mean if pushed to it, but she’s adventurous as well as caring, though she can come off as cold if she’s angered.
History:
Lightning was born in the wild, to a stallion named Leon and a brown mare named Mina. They raised her, and when she was three she left. She met a stallion at some point, and got pregnant with his foal. That foal foal was Thunder, and his father left them so Lightning joined Windstorm. Now she’s been taken away. She hopes she’s treated well.
Description:
Lightning is a gorgeous dun mare, since her father was palomino and mother was brown. Her mother was likely a Morgan Kiger mustang cross. She has the golden coat, with brown legs and muzzle. She has a stripe down her back, and the striping on the upper legs. She has a brown mane and tail, and her eyes are an amber color. That's all there is to her, aside from her hooves being dark in color.

History:

Thunder is a bay color, so he has dark points. Those being his muzzle and legs. His mane and tail are also dark. His eyes are amber like mama. His hooves are also dark. He's small at the moment. He won't be as big as some others. He also won't be too strong even as an adult.

Macchiato was born ten years ago. His mother was six years old then. He was raised well, and was happy. Then humans caught him when he was one...They took him to a place. They made him go to sleep. When he woke up, he could tell. He could tell a change had happened. They returned him to the herd. Matcha crowded him. She could tell. She got protective for awhile, but then stopped.
Description:
The paint seems to have come through in him. He's golden-tan as the main color. Then he has brown legs and muzzle. His main and tail are white. This is because he has white over his whole neck and back. He also has white coronets. Thus, his hooves are pink in color. He also has a white star (diamond) and snip. His eyes are deeply brown. They seem to have a little blue in them. His forelock is brown as well.

Born ten years ago to a paint stallion and an Appaloosa mare. The stallion was mostly white, with some black. The mare was white with black spots, a leopard Appaloosa. He seems to resemble her most, though has black ears like dad.
Description:
White with black spots just like mom. Has both ears completely black like dad, whom was a Medicine Hat Tovero. Has one blue eye and one brown eye, as dad had brown eyes and mom had blue. Hooves and muzzle are all pink, the hooves have some striping and muzzle has some dotting.

Appearance: Freya is a 13.2hh dark blue roan mare with a coronet on her right foreleg and a sock with ermine spots on the right hind leg. Her left eye is a solid brown while her right eye is mostly brown with some blue due to an irregular blaze that touches her right eye. She is still growing and will max out at a height of 14.1hh. During the winter time, her coat looks black due to the winter coat
Personality: Freya is more on the timid and quiet side, not always the most confident. She can be a bit jumpy and uncertain at times, especially in new areas or around strange horses. Freya is loyal to those who earn her trust and would love to find a new herd but due to her jumpy nature, Freya doesn't do well with large groups of unknown horses. She has more of a flight response and will bolt or back away when startled, scared, or super nervous.
Backstory: Freya ended up getting separated from her old herd when she was one year old during a violet night storm. She had tried for several weeks to find them but eventually concluded that they were no longer in the area. Freya was quick to learn about the dangers that can afflict lone horses which resulted in her now flighty personality. During her wanderings, Freya saw several herds in the distance but never got close enough to them to figure out if they was her old herd or not, eventually wandering into the valley that the herd resides in. She is aware of the herd in the area but has yet to dare to approach them.

Other: Any foals she has will have a 50% chance at minimum of being a roan due to her being heterozygous in the roan gene

Description: Storm is a bigger blue roan stallion who's blood line can be traced back to the horses brought over from Spain by the conquistadors. At least on his mothers side his father was a thoroughbred stallion which is where he gets his size from.
History: storms mother Shadow came from Custer National Forrest from the Pryor mustang bands in the Arrowhead mountain range. She was rounded up and ended up with this new band pregnant with Storm. Shortly after he was weaned she was rounded up again and never returned to freedom. Storm has been doing the band stallion for the last couple years hoping to get a chance to steal a couple.mares.

Name: Hinto meaning “blue”

Personality: He acts like a typical stallion, protective of his own. But he can also be sweet. Especially with the foals.
Description: a blue roan with long black mane and tail
History: Hinto was born and raised in the wild. His mother a bay roan and his father a blue roan. His small family was rounded up by Native Americans and they named him Hinto, because of his blue color. They were kind to him and the other horses up until an incident happened and all the horses were set free. Hinto took off in one direction with some of the horses, but whereas his family went in a different direction. He began to travel with the horses, Aiyana, a pinto mustang cross mare and Atsila, a buckskin kinger mustang. They ended up forming their own little herd and eventually began to grown their own herd.

Personality: She’s more on the shy quiet side. She doesn’t really talk much and just keeps to herself. Atsila acts like her own personal helper in a way. She makes sure that Aiyana is safe.
Description: she’s a black and white pinto with blue eyes
History: Not much is known of her past other than she spent most of her life with native Americans for a while. She then ran into Atsila who was also brought in along with Hinto and his family. The three of them became close, looking out for each other. Then the incident happened and the three of them took off together.

Personality: Like her name suggests, she’s like a fiery and powerful mare who doesn’t take crap from anyone. She is bold and fierce.
Description: a buckskin with a few dapples in her flanks and a few scars from fights with other horses in her younger years
History: She was born in the wild and was soon captured by some humans who tried to use her as a rodeo horse. Her fiery spirit was too much for them and they decided it was best to let her go. There she was on her own for a while until she ran into some Native Americans that were out rounding up some wild horses. Atsila got rounded up and would constantly start fights with some of the other horses with her. The only two that didn’t seem to be wanting to fight were Hinto and Aiyana. The three became a bonded pair and Atsila became a comfort for the younger mare Aiyana. The three soon escaped and have been close together since.

Personality: Seneca is very shy and wary of others, hence why she hasn't found another stallion or a herd.
History: She was rounded up in hopes to breed more Palominos, but when Kalondra was born she was deemed a failure and both were released back to the wild. Since then, she's been roaming alone with her young filly and trying to remain safe.

Personality: Odyssey is very confident and ambitious, though he's headstrong and self-assured. He can be hostile at times.
History: He was born to another herd on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. When he reached of age, he was forced out by the lead stallion and has been roaming different valleys since then. Although he's still young and not as strong compared to other stallions, he has high hopes of acquiring his own mares.
