@broken*, @oceanz: Smokestorm finding out about Leafpaw's family is totally fine by me. Would Smokestorm have kept it secret if it were up to him? Totally fine if not. I also love a little extra drama, but if that wouldn't make sense for his character, we can scrap it c:

im thinking about making another cat, but im not sure if it would be a clan cat or not. It is very hard fo choose xD

But im heavily leaning towards the cat being a loner atm. Im just unsure. But this cat would definitely have drama. The cat is a menace im thinking that the cat will just be a toned down tigerclawstar lmaooo

smokestorm would not have been able to keep it a secret by choice if we go that route. he would have been too filled with guilt. he may not have told her the details of what he found (say crushed by a tree or something) until she was older, but would have told her that they didn't survive the storm.
i could see him actually bringing her families bodies to wherever the clan buries their dead and having a little private ceremony with leafpaw (and maybe cloverpond) to say goodbye and then he would have buried them.

@ everyone - for the natural disaster, what do we think of having one (or both) of the medicine cats predict the flood? or should we just have it happen randomly during a spring/newleaf storm and catch the clan off guard?

@oceanz: i was thinking that maybe one of them see one of the many cats that have a water themed name? and that's when they get the omen from Starclan

edit: you know what would make it even more dramatic, if a cat was named specifically in the omen (like maybe one of the clan cats, or one of the loners or a kittypet) I think that would be interesting to see, and play out

please. this would be so funny. i almost said they & trix could be friends but trix doesn’t care for taking over the forest they just wanna be a nuance.


OOHH that would be so fun.. imagine though theres just this cat named flood that the med cats or warriors keep running into and theyre just like. “hey. who on earth named you that why wont you leave us alone.” bonus points if one of the med cats had a weird vision of a literal flood/heavy downpour sweeping away Something in the clan. so everyone’s like “man this cat’s gonna kill someone…” no it was an actual flood
HOWEVER if neither of the med cats get an omen it could spiral into a whole “has starclan abandoned us why were we not warned about this” thing?

Let's scrap the secret. It just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense given Smokestorm's disposition. I like the idea of his bringing back the bodies, holding vigil with Leafpaw, and burying them, so let's just go for that c:

I vote for catching the Clan off-guard, especially if it's a flash flood type thing, and especially if it's out camp. Love me a good StarClan prophecy, though, and if it will affect the camp, I think it makes sense for StarClan to warn the medicine cats c:
