Yes, it is most commonly used in role plays for posts like this
"Bob walked down the street. He smiled and smelled the cool crisp air and looked at the green apple trees. He loved this time of year, escpecially those green apples. His grandmother made a wonderful pie from them...." And so on. Meaning it really is off topic, but makes the post Literate/Semi literate.
