He looked at them all only shaking his head, but didn't say a word. He followed the Athena to prepare to hunt another deer. He took note of her words about the skillful hunt, which made him wonder if the doe they hunted with three wolves was not skillful enough for her.

He looked at Kuroyuki with a long stare, but then only ignored their words about him being so stupid not to notice the two other hunters. He looked at them shaking his head a bit "My bad, but then again we kind of forgot that this land belongs to use the Starling pack, and our fighter's job is to make sure that those lands are safe, as far I know there was not reported any other wolves or predators so could that mean there could not be risk to someone to steal the prey we got..." he said to them. He then looked at Athena and followed her to the spot to try another hunt.

She finished with her herbs and took the dry and dead ones to the pile just other side of the healer's den. She shook her head as she looked around seeing Louis there talking with the female omega. She felt a little jealous about that but did not think about it too much. She was already starting to give up with the male warrior, maybe she could only focus on her job and forget everything else. She took a look around before walking toward the entrance of the camp and left it, without saying anyone anything, she had some herds to collect and she could do that small task alone, it was her job anyway.

He sniffed the ground and the air, he did catch the scent of a few prey, but they were not fresh, and they may still be moved further away. He flicked his ears as he heard a crash, but the scent didn't tell much of what it could be so he ignored it. He followed the faint scents toward some of the trees there, but then he got more alert "Okay, we better not follow those scents...I am pretty sure I smell a bear/ cougar (include the answer given) " he said to them.

His ears perked behind him before he looked to see one of the warriors leaving the group to do something else. He shook his head and looked to the lead hunter "Well that could explain why there is nothing in here...likely a young bear/ cougar who has not really figured out how to hunt without scaring the whole forest away" he said. He kept sniffing the ground and the air but found only rabbits, squirrels, and birds.

He sighed and walked forward his ears alert and eyes watching the woods "Well good luck for him then, he sure deserves to be a lead fighter, he is good at it and most of the fighters already listen to him...and we do need a lead warrior..." he said to her.

She looked around not getting any scents "You know there is nothing in here, maybe we could separate to have a bigger area to look for prey?" she said to them. She shook her head a bit "Even yesterday we needed to hunt outside of our borders to get any, maybe we could need to do that today too...maybe the prey are aware of us in here and stay away...sadly those prey animals are not that stupid they may look" she kept saying.

She looked at them "Uh, it doesn't matter, I can't think long enough to decide...something soft and watery, my mouth and throat hurts a bit" she said. The reddish looking and minimally darker male watched around them. He wasn't paying too much attention to Ridge, thinking she'd actually do her job. He really should have known better. He felt the need to look over, after some moments, so he did look over. He noticed she was gone, and he gave a low little growl...as he thought he saw her in the distance. Oh, Blaze was going to hear about this for sure.

The smaller and slender white marked black phase wolf flicked their tail. They glanced to Miracle, as she was asked to watch the prey. He didn't know how they were going to move two whole deer...Shaking his head, he decided not to question it, and began to follow the others. He said "If you have a deer in mind, tell us what to do." It was obvious the three of them were willing to help Athena here. He moved along behind the others, as Mikage and Hakuren had followed Athena first. They raised their nose to the air, and breathed in.

The slender and smaller golden-cream and white one made a small sound. Sighing, she shook her head, because it was really up to Athena. If Athena wanted to hunt a second deer, that was up to her. Miracle said "I'll watch the meat," and watched the others go. She kept an eye on the area around, but wasn't sure what she'd do...If a bear or cougar showed up, she was certainly not enough to stop it.

He said "I don't think there even are others in that pack close to our age. Even if there are, I believe in him...Also, what do you mean?" he asked the one female pup. "He does too give me as much attention and stuff as I give him...he was just as excited to see me when we got to meet again."

Now that she had the gaggle's full attention on her, she flickered her tail behind her. "Mikage & Kuroyuki , flank left." she whispered, to keep her voice low enough not to spook the prey. Her tail swooshed in the opposite direction. "Hakuren, flank right. When it falls - move behind it and watch out for it's legs." she warned. The last thing she needed was for someone to get hurt on her account. She'd practiced this many times before with the previous hunters. The huntress glared back at Miracle, not meanly, to let her know she was safe. "If any predators approach you, howl." She nodded at her and returned to her main focus. The food could feed them for an entire day, maybe a little more if they portioned correctly. She kicked up the loose snow as she launched herself toward the elk. Her nails were ready to dig into their next meal. Her tail flickered at the moment she wanted the others to attack. Athena's maw locked around the neck of the elk, sending the animal into a spiral of sheer panic. The sounds of its cries ached Athena's ears, but her desire for food was stronger. She tore back and forth, waiting for the animal to collapse with wolves surrounding it. Her gaze flashed ahead as the crowd of animals fled the scene towards Redmoon territory. She growled lowly knowing it would be a little while before they'd venture back. Once the elk collapsed and quickly fell to its demise, she looked at the others and nodded, appreciating their hard work. "Is everyone alright?" she asked, ensuring everyone was still intact.

He tilted his head at the she-wolf who seemed adamant not to have him bringing her food. Louie decided to let it go, she did not want his help. His gaze surveyed the body of the wolf once again. The sweet smile she offered felt refreshing, it wasn't something he saw a lot from the others in the pack. "I wasn't aware." he sighed, almost as if he were embarrassed. His ears perked as she went on to tell the story of how she ended up in the pack. Destiny takes pity on her due to her disability. "It's a minor inconvenience you seem to make do with." He nodded. It was his attempt at applauding her for not allowing her weakness to define her. He flicked his tail behind him until he found a comfortable spot for it. He scanned over the canvas of Junpier's thin frame, with bones showing along the edge. He huffed quietly, certain he would bring her something, despite her telling him 'no' before. "Do you find it lonely out here sometimes?" The older wolf slowly stretched his legs until he lay down in front of her. Remaining a respectable distance away."With everyone else all together and you.... out here." he lifted his nose, pointing to the surrounding area which now lay dormant until spring.

the light coloured she wolf watched Louie’s moves and listened as he spoke. He was nothing but kind to her, which while not odd per se, she definitely welcomed it. Her ears flicked at some birds humming quietly. The birds, to no surprise were relatively quiet. When he spoke of her blindness she offered a small shrug and smiled once more “true I suppose” she answered with a soft voice before watching him stretch and lay down as he spoke once more to her about being alone. The question made the wolf ponder for a few moments, and for a while it was quiet between the two. You could clearly see the wolf thinking, trying to decide if she truthfully felt alone.

After a few moments of silence she returned her blue eyed gaze to him and spoke gently “I suppose one would have to require company more often to decide if she felt truly alone.” she spoke calmly and then continued “to speak truthfully, while I’ve been welcomed into this pack, I am not exactly a welcome asset. The only wolves I have indeed even spoken to… is alpha, and well… you” she hummed softly. Despite the slight sorrow in her tone, she didn’t appear particularly upset about it, for she didn’t really know what company felt like, and how could one possibly feel lonely, if she didn’t really know what being included or wanted felt like. To her, this was normal, and for now… that was okay. She dropped down onto her stomach, her hind legs shifting out from under her and to her left side, her left front leg folded slightly and her right out in front of her as the waited the males response.

trinity watched castor lead a hunting party, from the large rock beside her den she could see quite a lot that was going on inside her pack. She watched carefully, surveying calmly. Despite being delta, she only really acted upon her rank when she really needed to, it was what made good at her job. She was responsible and respectful of all others ranks, even the omegas, she often found herself feeding them to ensure they are, especially when the fighters or hunters picked on them. It was an unfortunate part of being in a pack, there was always the lowest ranking wolf, and they did tend to cop a lot of infuriations, in the other wolves defence, quite often, omegas put themselves in positions they should not. Trinity had stopped one or two tiffs between a fighter and omega but there had been times where she let the omega be bullied purely because they had stepped out of line.

The thought of castors hunting party made the female hungry. She stood up from her rock and stretched herself before shaking her ebony coat. Bright amber eyes clear as day even in night time against her rich coat. With a yawn the she wolf jumped down from her rock and padded almost silently towards the food pile.

Kane continued to sniff for scents, listening the lead and others from the hunting party. His nose also picked up on the other predator. His head raised slightly and he shook his fur in discomfort.
“Last thing wanted would be finding a cougar or bear out here. A cougar would could scare…but a bear-“ he spoke and he shook his fur coat again, this time in fear.
He quickly trotted over to where Labrador was searching.
“We could just try to find small prey?” He suggested,
“All there is at the moment are rabbits and other small creatures”

A short while later, Liberty and Nova concluded the conversation regarding what to do with the pack. The beta dipped her muzzle out of respect and left the Alpha’s den quietly. Her attention caught a stray when she saw Maison leaving the healer’s den. She heavily sighed, still slightly disappointed that the pair could not get along. Nova decided not to engage with him for now and to allow both of them to cool off. In her many moons, she did not react that way, often. Her paws picked up more speed as she grew the distance between her and Liberty, she knew he’d sniff out her weakness of lying to him. Unfortunately, Nova had to protect the pack members from Liberty’s wrath, she had to lie. The thoughts in her head tossed back and forth, building this feeling of being overwhelmed. Nova suddenly halted in her tracks, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath before moving forward.

Now that her thoughts were clear, she could focus on the pack’s needs. Her eyes scanned over the territory, spotting their Delta amongst the mix of wolves. Nova’s pace accelerated after Trinity as she padded towards the remaining food scraps from the previous hunt. “Good Morning, Trinity,” she spoke softly. Her gaze landed on the remains from last night and once more her stomach grumbled to remind her of its empty contents. “The hunters and fighters have been sent out. I need you to check in on Chi in the healer's den. I think she might be hiding something important.” the words rolled over her tongue in defeat. “I can’t save her if Liberty catches wind of it first. Especially if my assumption of her being pregnant is true.” she shared. Though Trinity was indeed the Delta, discussing this matter with her felt off. Granted, she should know how Liberty has been the last few days. His nasty demeanor has thrown the shift of the pack off entirely.

The large brute let out a light chuckle. She had a very valid point. His gaze met hers as he opened his maw to speak. "Huh, lonely. Something I have grown used to over the last couple of months." he added. His comment was more so along the lines of having his mate around. The whole pack spent weeks checking on him and Kiyu. "I'm sorry. I did not mean to throw that on you." he sighed, his ears swiveling in circles. His dark eyes willed to still, laying his head on his paws. "If it's alright with you, I'd like to come and keep you company- sometimes." Curiosity dancing in his voice. While this wolf may have been an Omega in the pack, she did not do anything wrong. Her misfortune was her disability

He also noticed when Ridge finally came back to them...and that she seemed to have eaten or caught something. He let out a very small growl. If she heard the growl, that was her only clue. That would be her own clue he'd noticed what she'd done, but she wouldn't know what he'd do about it.

Her tail had moved each time she'd told a wolf what to do. He nodded and said "Watch out for the legs..." as if repeating it to keep it in mind. His ears twitched and swiveled, as she then addressed Miracle. He ran with the others, and went to the left when she flicked her tail. He grabbed on where he could, and they all held the animal. The animal cried out, but he made himself ignore it. They were wolves, these were prey, they were meant to eat them. He noticed as the rest of the animals rushed off and away. He shook his head and let out a breath, then focused on their prey. As it fell he let go, and turned his gaze back to Athena. "I'm okay," he said, then looked to the others as he waited for them to answer too.

She looked up and flinched as she saw the look from Athena...However, she then realized the other she wolf wasn't being mean. She nodded to her, saying "I'll howl if anything tries to approach." She then went back to watching, keeping guard of the already caught prey.

juniper listened to the male and thought, lonely? hmm... perhaps it was, she'd not really known much different. with a soft sigh she watched him curiously and listened to him as he apologized, "it is okay. kind of a nice welcome conversation regardless the topic" she smiled softly and she continued "i am... sorry... about her, i never really met her or spoke to her... i don't speak to anyone. and i can't imagine what you're going through..." she murmured gently, and added on to answer his question or statment... she wasn't sure if it was a question or if he was telling her he would do it, "but... i'm sure i would enjoy some company as much as you may" she softly spoke and blinked her clouded blue eyes.

trinity stopped in her tracks and a small growl left her lips before realising who approached her, "nova..." she softly murmured, that was about as friendly as the older wolf got since losing her mate, she looked the female up and down as she spoke about the hunters and the fighters, not entirely sure why she was being alerted, for one she knew and secondly, it was more her job to handle those matters anyway. at the mention of the alpha she sighed softly, she was a more dominant female in the pack certainly, however... she also knew liberty could be a handful and certainly had been recently, and nova while she wasn't a push over, was not as forward as trinity was, however she had not spoken to liberty today so took note of nova's conern. at her comment about chi she looked at her dumbfounded, was she not aware? trinity rolled her eyes and stood calmly looking at the beta as she spoke about how chi may be be pregnant. there was no maybe, trinity had known for some time now, perhaps it was her age and that she had gone through pregnancy herself and knew the signs, perhaps it was the age difference and trinity just instinctively knew, after all... you could smell it on chi, with a soft sigh and a half hearted smile, probably the only smile she'd ever smiled to nova or anyone since losing her mate she spoke clearly "firstly... i am not worried about alpha... you should know that by now... despite my rank being below you, i have set him straight a few times and if i remember correctly, you were there a few times..." she sighed her voice turning into a mutter as she continued "secondly... there is no assumption needed nova... chi is pregnant." she huffed and looked towards the healers den, deciding not to belittle the beta by asking how she didn't know some time ago, chi certainly wasn't broad casting it, but trintiy could smell it on her, perhaps it was the age difference, "but yes... the den is my next stop... i need some raspberry leaves" she mumbled before looking for the plant that was not far from the food pile, the leaves despite being bitter, helped with an easier and faster labour, eating food was her best bet, but she knew from experience, chi wouldn't be interested in eating. she looked to maison as he emerged and she frowned, why on earth was he grabbing her a rabbit? perhaps it was for him. if there was one thing she didn't understand, it was why males were healers especially when wolves were in labour... she rolled her eyes and sighed looking to nova "either excuse me or follow me... i don't know what maison is doing, but that is not going to help chi" she then trotted directly to the plant tearing off a small twig with a few leaves on it, a few would be fine. too many and there could be complications. she then followed slowly behind the male a low grumble escaping her lips merely a 'get out of my way'.

trinity may not be super liked in the pack, but she was respected, she was blunt and straight to the point, she didn't waste time with pleasantries in situations like this, and despite her respect for the healer, she was surprised this was his solution for a tricky labour. he had helped her with her own labour, but hers had been a breeze, and if she remembered correctly, the wolf had brought her a rabbit and she had managed to eat some. chi however, from what trinity could tell, was early, and eating right now wouldn't be a wonderful feeling. she looked towards the apprentice heal and made what was an attempt at a soft look, truth be told, she just hadn't' been a smiley wolf before her mate let alone after his death, so this was pretty normal and everyone was used to it. she squeezed her way past the little learning healer and down beside chi, she watched her breathing and thought for a moment before lowering herself beside chi and placing the twig in front of her nudging the rabbit away, "you must eat the leaves chi... they will help speed up the process and may help ease the pain. they did for me" she softly murmured, probably the gentlest words trinity had spoken in a year, in fact it was probably shocking to hear the brown wolf speak so affectionately. "try some water from the fruits if you must, but not too much" she whispered gently licking at chi's fur to help comfort and ease her pain, wolves being very family orientated, licking and cooing and nuzzling should help ease the birthing mmma.

A pestering feeling of irritation filled Nova as the Delta seemed dismissive of the concerns. She shook her head in response. “While you may not be concerned about Liberty. He has attacked a member of our pack, leaving a gash on our healer’s face.”she huffed. Despite being a team, she felt the other two could care less about the pack and more about the power they gained from their ranks. Nova took a deep breath, trying not to let another get under her skin. Again. “Fair warning, Maison has had an attitude lately. He snapped at me earlier when I checked on Chi and Alex,” she explained but felt she was hitting a brick wall talking with Trinity. Her tail swooshed behind her as she looked at the cold-hearted Delta. This pack was doomed if these two were their leaders. “I expect you to have more empathy for pack mates, but it’s clear I was incorrect in my judgment of you.” The words rolled off her tongue and she was off. She turned her back on Trinity before walking away. There was so much going on and Trinity’s attitude could kick rocks. If she was so responsible, where was she the last few days while Nova cared for the entire pack? A feeling she’d never felt before began to pester. Her stomach twisted like a wrench, the spew of this new emotion for her overwhelmed her a bit. While the pack was busy doing their jobs, she needed to rest. Trinity could handle a few things on her own. The Beta softly sighed, exhaustion written all over her body. It was finally time for her to retire to her den.

Nova finally made it to her den, looking around the interior, nothing out of the ordinary. She positioned herself into a downward dog stretch. Her paws guided the snow out to the front. A few spins later, she lay on the den floor and quickly began to sleep. Her body ached from constantly watching over the pack for the last few days with no help. The Alpha was useless from caring for his son and the Delta wasn’t too far behind him. The level of frustration and headache finally caught up to her. Her dreams flooded with the terror of Liberty ripping a new one into one of the wolves, which made her think of Blaze. The soon-to-be Lead Fighter, who had to prove himself to Liberty to obtain his rightful spot. While she disagreed with the matter, there was not much that she could do. Her breathing became irregular, speeding up slowly. The pang of worry for their safety increased. ‘Mama, what should I do?’ she thought to herself. Her eyes opened again and her maw rested on her paws. From the floor of her den, she scanned the area in front of her, getting a good lookover of the entire pack.

“Miss Nova! Miss Nova!” A small yip had come from nearby. Nova’s ears perked at her name from an innocent being. Little Niko had bounced into her view at the edge of the den. “Hello Niko, where’s Eros?” she questioned, remembering them assigning Niko and Eros. The high-ranked duo paired the pups together to keep Eros out of trouble, which seems to have failed. Nova let out a gentle sigh as Niko opened his mouth, “Eros isn’t able to play right now.. Can I go back to Gauge or Blaze?” he asked her, his tail wagging profusely behind him. “Niko, they’re out doing their duties right now. Here, tag along with me for the day. Maybe you can learn a thing or two.” she softly spoke. Not wanting to upset the pup. “Ok!” he barked, still just as excited to hang out with the pack’s Beta. The pair soon left Nova’s den and walked through the pack’s common ground area together. (OPEN)

Now that his deceased mate was on his mind, he eased out a light laugh. Of course, he wasn't laughing that she was gone, but more so at Juniper's comment. He wasn't surprised she never spoke to his mate. "She was like fresh air at the beginning of spring. Her eyes were golden, bright like honeydew." He'd begun to ramble. His love for her laced into his comments. "Best of all, her spirit was like no other. She was a caring soul that did her best to look out for everyone. Even the omegas." he let on. After losing his mate to a bear, he swore to watch over Kiyu and any other pup in the pack. While he wasn't anything like Mira, he'd do his best to keep her spirit alive. "Having a mate is easy and since she's been gone... It's been hard to stay afloat. Of all my family that I had here, Kiyu is all I have left." He overshared but did not worry Juniper. She wouldn't tell - not that anyone would believe her anyway. Louie hardly spoke to anyone other than the higher ups and even they knew nothing about his emotions. "Have you ever experienced unconditional love, Juniper?" his voice grew deeper and darker. His gaze met up with her's once more, wondering if she'd ever experienced anything close to it.
