I really wasn't expecting them all to grow today. Wild. But wow that draft is beautiful!



And to add to my guesses about what National Parks the cats are based on... Grand Canyon. It's gotta be.

The cat with arches is most likely based off of Arches National Park out in Utah. Grand Canyon is out in Arizona, but I do think you are on to something with that cat design!!

Aw, this brings me back to my childhood. My grandma used to have this huge stone planter overflowing with forget-me-nots. It was the first flower I knew 🥰

Thanks! Yeah no specific coat colors here either, but feel free to just pick the one that matches best. I was waiting till the full litter was grown but just wanted to add that all the rats are hooded rats, so all intended to be variations on that specifically (though if some technically qualify as a different one, oops lol). I had considered doing growing versions for each color but didn't want people to have to deal with the 2-pet split for every color (maybe if they had all been different colors or something). And since they all having hooded markings, I was worried they might look too similar to some people and though the dumbo ears would be an easier way to tell outcomes apart (also the dumbo ears are cute).

Anyway, I had a lot of fun looking up bunches of rat pictures for ideas on marking variations. The two black ones are my obligatory favorites obviously, but my next favorite would the brown one with the white spot, I'm a sucker for a nice brown tone.

I'm glad people like the line edits, I don't plan on using them a whole ton (I hardly ever do pet designs) but you'll probably see them pop up here and there. This won't be the last of them or anything but also don't expect them every month ^^'

EmberWolf, i absolutely love the cat litter from this month! They reminded me of a trip i took out to Utah during college and it makes me want to go back out west <3 This one might be my favourite one 🥹

So glad you liked them! And I can totally see where the National Parks guesses are coming from. Truth is, I couldn't think of anything so I asked a friend to throw out a theme and the first thing she saw was a western print on her wall. I didn't base them off of any exact place in particular but I did think about "iconic" US western landscape sights: the arches, the monuments/mittens, and layers of canyons. Plus cacti! So in a way they are sort of based on the National Parks as that's where most of those iconic sights are located c:
