Welcome to the new-and-improved Flight Rising Chat on
Chickensmoothie! This is a new version of the pre-existing
FR Chat (version 46, to be specific) and is run and modded
by all the same staff. There have been some changes to
the rules, so please give them a read before joining in.

If you're a frequent flyer around here, you may notice that
we've changed our welcome banner! The dragon featured
on our new banner is Keiion, a son of our og banner dragon.

Do not under any circumstances use a font larger
than 130. Only mods may use this for ANNOUNCEMENTS.
Anything else is not allowed.

be kind
Please, be kind and respectful, bullying and harassment
will not be tolerated. Negative comments on someone's
projects, dragons, art, etc are bullying. If you don't have
anything kind or constructive to say, it's best to simply
not say anything.

dragon image limit
Do not post more than 5 full-size dragon images, or 10
thumbnail dragon images in one post. Screenshots showing
more than 10 images are included in this rule, and you will
be asked to take it down. For easy reference, 1 full-size
images = 2 thumbnail images.

don't spam
Very short posts (just posting lol, omg), posts that don't
contribute to any kind of conversation, excessive memes,
or just posting images is considered spam and is not
allowed. Please try to contribute to or begin actual conversations.

5 page rule for sales, giveaways, etc
Please wait 5 pages between posting sales, giveaways, or
questions. Editing previous posts to be able to post sooner
is considered a loophole and will result in a warning. Posting
a dragon that is for sale but not labeling it as such is
considered an undocumented sale, and is not allowed. Paid
raffles are considered sales and fall under this rule.

no begging/soliciting
Begging and soliciting others via PM is not allowed. Posting
things that are passive-aggressive and meant to guilt others
is considered begging. Soliciting is messaging any users
about dragons/items you have for sale when they have not
explicitly posted that they are looking for those things.
If a user is sending you unsolicited sales through pm,
please tell a member of the thread staff.

no sharing glitches
Posting about glitches on Flight Rising and telling others
how to do them is a bannable offense.

a.i./auto-generated art is not allowed
Only post art that you drew yourself, or commissioned
someone else to draw. Posting anything that is
AI-generated will result in a warning.

Cross-site trading is the act of trading items/pets/currency on one site for items/pets/currency on another, unaffiliated site. Certain websites do not allow cross-site trading with other websites, but both Chickensmoothie and Flight Rising allow cross-site trading with each other. However, there are rules you must follow. Please give the guidelines given by both FR staff and CS staff a read before taking part in any cross-site trading.

Loaning is when someone gives a dragon or item to be used by another user with the intent of getting it back in the same condition that the dragon or item left in.
It can be for a breeding pair, coliseum battles, scroll previews, apparel testing, and more.

What is NOT Tolerated in loaning
(Without the other user's prior consent):
- Breeding of another user's dragon
- Selling the Item or dragon
- Exalting a dragon
- Renaming a dragon
- Placing a dragon in the Hib Den
- Lending a dragon/item you have received from another user
- Changing a dragons stat's in any form(includes tincturing, adding skill points, and altering battlestones)
- Using a borrowed scroll
- Refusing to return the dragon/item to the original owner
- Changing the genes
- Scatterscrolling a dragon

What is OK when loaning
(No consent needed):
-Putting a familiar on the dragon
-Dressing the dragon
-Feeding the dragon
-Moving them in your lair arrangement

Yes, our thread does have rules for loaning. These can be bypassed by discussing loans privately, however, if this happens, we as thread staff cannot help if anything goes wrong. Loaning rules are as follows:

- No loans over 150k may be asked for on the thread
- You may not re-post loan requests until ten pages have
passed since your original request
- You may NOT include other offers for loans.**
- You MUST pay off any previous loans before asking for a new loan
- You may not ask for loans for lair expansions passing 100k in value. If you need space immediately,
please ask someone to hold your dragons.
- You may only receive a loan once every 3 days.
- Players may ask for interest on loans if they wish. But this must be stated up
front and agreed upon.

** ex: "Could someone loan me 50k? I can offer cs pets/items/fr stuff/etc." This is counted as a sale. Loans are to be straight currency swaps. You get 50k from someone, you send them 50k back.

It depends on the level of your dragons, where you feel the most comfortable, and where you might find certain things (materials, food groups, familiars, etc)

If you are looking for event tokens use the Coliseum Element Odds guide (linked in the Important Links post). It shows the likelihood of encountering a monster of that element for example 9% of the time means 9/100 monsters will be that element.

The Imperial Breed Change Scroll was a Kickstarter exclusive item that backers got for backing a certain Kickstarter tier back when FR was just getting started. It is possible there are still Imp BCs on site, but they would sell for a pretty penny and be VERY hard to come by (the last one glimpsed on the thread was going for 500k gems in an auction). Likewise, first-generation imperials are very rare and very high value.

You can now get event tokens by gathering in any flight during the event, bonding with your familiars, participating in activities at the trading post, and fighting enemies in the coliseum!

No, breed-changed dragons will keep their cooldown (Imp with 29 days to tundra = 29-day breeding cooldown) and so will dragons scrolled for maturity. After they breed their cooldown becomes the same amount as the breed they currently are. (the imperial you scrolled to a tundra now has a tundra's breeding cooldown when bred)

Nope! You can apply them and remove them at any time. Skins also will have no effect on your hatchlings, as they merely alter the appearance of your adult dragon. it does not alter the genes or colors your dragons have.
