Hello, I don't reply to anything unles I have a strong opinion so please, consider my words at least fairly important. Yes, while I do agree that people who say the your no good at art without a tablet or touch pad or whatever are comleat but heads who need to practice consideration for others feeling, but I disagree with every one who comented negatively, the people who are saying yay about haveing one or the people who coment on how there art inproves with the tablet arn't saying that your art is bad or trying to glote, they are simply shareing the good news, and to all of you who are being critical of them need to do the same as the but heads and think, because its rude, and saying that kind of stuff to them or about them is like saying 'i hate you' to a freind who told you that they are having a baby or spiting in some ones face for telling you they are engaged. I compleatly agree with Harpalyce and think megarin should apologise for thre rude coment. sorry about the rant, but you wgere out of line. and no body even said a word about the art, which is the only reson this is here, did any of you think that by completely ignoring Fox Girl's art you made her feel bad? It is realy good and I know that I could never draw something like that, even on paper.

I am sorry harpalalyce, I wasn't trying to sound rude, I was just saying that a lot of people won't listen to anything anyone says,sometimes they won't even look at stuff that might be inportant and they just pass on by and keep doing whatever it is that they are doing wrong. It doesn't equate becoming a good artist. A tablet is a tool. It's a much better tool. This is sort of like saying that just because you don't have a paintbrush doesn't mean you're a bad painter. Sure, some people can do some amazing things with finger-paints, but a paintbrush makes it much easier, yes? Additionally, having a paintbrush doesn't make you a master artist. It just makes it -easier-.

Deep breath and don't drink the haterade, y'all. You're getting way too worked up about this split that I think exists mainly in your head and nowhere else. Good art is good art, period.

I half-way agree with megarin.
People believe what they want to believe, do not judge them for that. On another site, I posted a picture I drew on Paint, and I said I made it with a touch-pad. Five people commented saying the following: "Get a tablet!" or something similar to that. A lot of people on CS that have tablets, but don't understand, are like "Wow! That's great thanks to your tablet!"
You can be amazing with a touch-pad, and some people on CS are too blinded to see that.

I haven't ever seen comments like that. Perhaps it's just because I hang around Intermediate more than Beginner's oekaki.

Whenever I see a comment that says "get a tablet", I take it to mean "you should get a tablet because you're doing amazing with a touchpad, just think of what you could do with more suitable tools", not "this sucks and you should get a tablet". Like I said, good art is good art, period. A tablet is a tool that makes it easier.

If you see any comments that say "all art that people draw with touchpads/mice suck", that's just simple flaming, and should be reported to the moderators as such.

I don't think this is really the huge war y'all think it is (or want it to be), to be quite honest.

I wish all the people who say that kind of stuff could see our pencil and paper art, then I bet they would be blown away!

My pencil art is pretty good, I try to make it realistic, I want to pet my art work sometimes... the kitties look real.... need.... to.... pet.... art.... work...
