Oh Junebug is such a precious baby. It's been awhile since I have seen my buns asleep, lately they're always up to mischief at any time of the day. Very rude that, can't get cute pics!

speaking of mischief, my bun Junie has learned how to jump out of his x-pen earlier than expected, i’ll have to start free-roaming sooner than i thought XD

they really are such a great breed, i would totally recommend owning flemishes, they’re real gentle giants!! and my cats leave them alone because the buns are bigger than them, so that’s a plus LOL

rehomed my bunnies in May because I moved and couldn't take them with me. I miss them but they're doing great! If love to get another one eventually but it won't be for a long time.

Your rabbit's names! (Put 'Future bun owner' if non-owner): had one named Smoky but he’s gone now.
There’s four more in our house (three are technically my mom’s and one is my cousin’s but they are mine and my siblings as much as my mom’s because we all live in the house, and I pet these rabbits and give them treats and stuff)
Two dwarfs named Winton and Wabbit. One lop named Oreo (he might be sick…)
Then the aforementioned cousin’s rabbit…Chicken.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear about Chicken, Spirit! I'm sure they know they were deeply loved n.n

I also hope to run a rabbitry one day, but right now I'm not in a place I'm allowed to have pets. I'm actually funding the foster of 2 rabbits who live with a friend! She's got lots of space for them, along with 8 of her own buns. I don't think I've ever talked about the fosters here!

Phil and Lyla were born feral, to a colony near my work where I check on them as often as possible. Many of them have seen me come around since they crawled out from their nest, Lyla was from a litter of 12 and Phil... we think he came from the litter of 3 born a month or two later, although he might be her brother and just a small boy naturally. When I was out there one day, someone told me she was hurt and I couldn't find her, so I went back and did see her, but she didn't look injured,,, until two days later I noticed a big brown lump on her leg! She's very lucky to be alive- she had an infection, after I confirmed with my more rabbit-savvy friend it was likely an abscess, we went out that night to catch her.

It was actually super easy, though she was spooked being picked up the first time! Phil and Lyla both had spent so much time around me in the grass, they'd cuddle up to me and let me pet them (I may have snuck them treats, shhh). My friend wanted to have a good look at the injury, and the lump had fallen off so we were really scared. It can leave bacteria behind, which would be very dangerous!

Phil really wouldn't leave her side, so we ended up taking them both. He was always smaller than her, but it's much more obvious now that she gets proper nutrition! She's gotten nice and big and round, it's so so good to see her so healthy <3 and we got her spayed last month with no issue! I was so relieved, they told us if we hadn't told them Lyla was feral they'd have no clue, since my friend had to clean her injury multiple times a day for weeks she was very good with handling. Didn't get impatient on the exam table for her first visit... up until we had her on the scale for some reason!

She was super good for her nail trim too, and giving her some quiet time and pets helped her get comfy on the scale too. It wasn't long after her spay though that Phil started getting really hormonal! He's perfectly healthy, but they're bonded so we didn't want to separate them. His first visit to evaluate his age and overall health is next week! I'm excited to see him again, since it's been a little bit~ I'll send pics of them both soon!
