After an entire day of maintenance, the server has been moved over to Purpur(?*) and the world has been updated to 1.20.4. There's still some things I need to mess with, such as the chat formatting and resource pack, but the major stuff has been updated and works in time for Easter weekend.

I am currently working on another survey similar to before for a modded server. Summer is coming up and it'll be the best time I have to start that and do commissions to pay for it.

If I have time maybe I'll squeeze in an Easter event. Have fun!!

i've had this post open forever to reply to i'm so sorry

yes it is! ...sort of. we had switched over to a modded world for a few months, and while the switch back to vanilla was only supposed to take a week or two, it has been sitting idle for a few months now. i have, unfortunately, been very busy with university, and the cloud-based backup has corrupted, which requires me to manually re-upload all the files. the files are large enough it'd take multiple hours, and my internet becomes unusable as files upload. this makes it very hard for me to work on homework, and i don't want to impact anyone else using the internet. this thursday though i hope to be able to upload them; it is the only day i have where i am both home all day and no one else is, and i have a midterm this friday to study for which should not require much internet usage.

as much as i hate to say it, the recent tariff threats may also play a role in the longevity of this server once this billing cycle is finished. buzz aesthetic has been so kind as to donate to help run it (whom i have to contact once i get things up again regarding the aforementioned unexpected hiatus) and it has been a HUGE help. the canadian dollar has recovered afaik -- for now -- but if drops again, especially significantly, it requires me to pay extra. the exchange rate as it is already adds ~$10 extra. it's a delicate balance between cost and service when my only disposable income is one or two commissions every few months. what i pay now is the lowest i can go without the service being a scam and/or a significant drop in resource quality.
