Can I get an opinion on this, and how to edit if it's unfair to either side? Thank you!

Hi! i think that this trade is unfair to you! because:
-they have offered 3 2008 pets, all VR, and they want 3 2008 pets from you, an OMGSR and 2 ERs, to make this more fair i would say they should offer more pets as all of your pets are at least 1 rarity higher than theirs
-they have offered 3 2009 pets, 2 VR and one ER, and want 2 2009 pets from you, both VR, however, we could say that 2 or 3 of your 2010 VRs were meant to balance out to be a fair trade for their ER, which would make this section balanced
-however that leaves 1 2021 UC on their side, and 1 2013 ER, 2 2014 ERs and 1 2019 VR on your side, which isn't at all fair, no matter how much you could want that 2021 cat. To balance this, you could either remove all of these pets and just have the previous 2 bullet points of pets, or find pets from them that match the rarity, or balance out to match the rarity, of your pets.

I hope this makes sence, and im hoping im not misinforming u, as im not 100% certain of fairness when it comes to super old pets like this, but this trade doesnt look very fair to me,, i would like to see another opinion on this too though!

so for older pets, because they are higher value, it’s usually best not to use the 2:1 rule for year or rarity.

the 2008 VR were extended releases and as such are valued as a 2009 VR, which are worth 2.5 old rares each. so their four 2008 VRs are worth 10 old rares, or 1 MA together. the 2009 VR horse is worth 3 old rares and the 2009 ER horse is worth 4-5 old rares (i’d say 4 due to horses lower demand). so in total their side is worth 1.7 MAs.

your side has:
snowflake butterfly = 1 MA
peppermint ear advent dog = 1 MA
red string tess horse = 1 MA
mythological store dog = 1 MA
robo cat store pet = .5 MA
realistic dog store pet = 1 MA
etc.

i didn’t count up the smaller 2009/2010 VRs because your side is already worth 5.5 MAs, which is definitely not fair for their 1.7 MAs worth of pets.

also if you’re unsure about high value pets and what terms like “MA” or “old rare” means i’d suggest checking out Horror’s new thread which goes over it pretty thoroughly.

Thank you for such a thorough response! The last time I knew what I was doing, the rares list was the main rarity guide. I know it's not used anymore, but I didn't know what method replaced it. I'll look at those links :~)
